  1. Uh, our ALL WORLD STs coach should have had this planned out...especially after last time our kicker got hurt. If your punter is your holder, but also your backup PK, then the backup holder is???? The utter incompetence of this team is other-worldly.
  2. They could pass for Tarheel alternate uniforms. Yuck!
  3. A loss today and we are guaranteed, at best, a share of the worst record in the League for the season. The Cardinals are only a game ahead of us somehow, it depends on what they do this week and next.
  4. It doesn't matter, one more loss and we have pick #33 locked down. Yes, I want this FO to have ALL NIGHT to think about first pick in the second round. I'd really be peeved if we get a meaningless win or two and miss out that #33 pick.
  5. Bryce had a good game yesterday, especially in the second half.
  6. Smith-Marsette has made Shenault expendable. Shenault is a true 'tweener and is neither an elite RB nor WR. Smith-Marsette is a slot guy and with more reps should take over Thielen's spot with the occasional gadget play in the running game.
  7. I only watched the first half today, but Burns was chipped by their RB at least twice and taken out of the play. Elite pass rushers don't get neutralized by RBs regularly.
  8. Me too. I was at a Christmas party and most of us went outside at halftime and started playing corn hole. We were having a good time and forgot to check back in for the second half. It looked like Green Bay was going to run away with the game any way by halftime. Besides, it was gorgeous day outside!
  9. What also sucks, as a guy that likes the draft cycle, is in years past you would get to see these elite kids play in these bowl games that were at west coast schools or markets that didn't televise our area. You still get to see them, but now they're eating sunflower seeds and spinning a towel on 3rd downs as honorary cheerleaders.
  10. Only a .500 record required, 43 games, winter portal, players with NFL aspirations and only 4 schools really playing for anything. Is a wonder why these bowl games have like 10% of people in attendance? Nobody wants to travel to see backups play while the stars are on the sidelines. It's akin to preseason in the NFL. Even when the playoffs expand to 12, that's a mere 8 more schools with something to play for. The trend will continue at an accelerated pace, unfortunately. Teams will end up having to start kids in these bowl games that have not played much or even a snap all season.
  11. South of the stadium I think still has plenty of parking areas. Most of the lots I tailgated in on the north side now have condos built on those sites.
  12. Brother, if it was just only last year's TE class! I've been barking up this tree since Olsen's lisfranc surgery.
  13. I've looked at SEVERAL draft sites and he's averaging WR4/5. Based on the past several drafts, that would put him mid-late first round.
  14. Again, he's a first rounder, but maybe he has a bad combine or pro day and slips. It's not uncommon.
  15. Could, but likely won't. It depends on how many teams need a WR1 versus other needs. He definitely has a round 1 grade.
  16. Lol at Egbuka falling to the 2nd round. Also, Utah's Elliss is returning to school.
  17. We have a draft subforum for this. It's current despite it saying 2023 draft. The title hasn't been updated.
  18. Lol, dude ASKED TO BE CUT to get the fug up outta here. It's sad when we sign FAs and a couple months later they are like" Can I be cut, PLEASE?!?!?!?!?"
  19. Blind squirrel, stars align, horseshoe, sun on a dog's arse, etc.. Like they say, any given Sunday.
  20. And the rest of the exchange? It went on for a while. The question was asked of Tabor what was the furthest Eddy hit in warmups and Tabor said "60". He was even specific to say the same side of the field. It's cool, Frank is gone, but It's common knowledge that on long kicks like this on HCs will consult the STs coach. Did Tabor say, 'NO, DON'T DO IT!'? I didn't get that impression...at all. He's a made man in this League, if he disagreed with Frank, I think he would implied it or outright said so in this line of questioning with the press. He doesn't strike me as the type to beat around a bush. I wasn't like his job was on the hot seat.
  21. Yup, generally the HC asks coordinators their input on major decisions such as this. It's even on video. You might want check next time before coming off as an @ss. https://www.panthers.com/video/chris-tabor-on-ihmir-smith-marsette-s-return-td
  22. One multi-touchdown game all season...against Detroit.
  23. Same old metric. Does the opponent score more than 17 points? if yes, there's a 99% chance of a Panthers loss. If the opponent is held to 17 points, about 33.3% shot of a Panthers win and the chances increase about 15% for every 3 points under that. I know that doesn't add up to 100%, but you get the idea.
