  1. Purely in talent alone, contracts and draft compensation aside. I thought that was implied with every Teddy post on here being about how much he sucks, but I guess I could have be more specific.
  2. Yeah, and I remember the knock on Allen is the same as the guy in my avatar...underdeveloped, small school prospect that's not ready to be a day 1 starter in this League. So while the Jets are looking to possibly move on from Darnold, Allen is just hitting his stride. Granted, Allen had some growing pains for a couple of years, but the Bills have there franchise QB while the Jets are at a crossroads with Darnold. D1 competition, NFL ready, blah, blah, blah. The draft is about projection at it's core. I saw back then that Allen would be the better QB of those two even if he didn't play a tons of game in a power 5 conference. Chew on that Trey Lance doubters....
  3. Nothing surprising at all, dead cap figures are projected out for several years and saw this implosion coming. I knew it was extremely bad and probably one of the worst in the League, so to see it actually IS the worst comes as shocking as someone saying water is wet.
  4. I honestly think all of those guys stays put. It's the offseason for 30 teams (after tonight 32). The biggest clicks and news makers in the NFL at this time are HC/front offices changes and QB changes...toss in a couple diva players distractions. All this drama will amount to little. The most likely to move is Darnold and I say that only happens if the Jets get a more than generous offer. If the offers are not greatly in the Jets favor, they stick with Darnold taking either Sewell to protect him or trade back with a QB needy team. Tua, Goff and Wentz are not going anywhere. Tua has too much potential and Goff's contract is ginormous not to mention he was just traded makes little sense. Wentz has proven to be mentally and physical fragile while having HUGE albatross for a contract.
  5. I get aggressive, but come on, at least let the aggressiveness make sense. Darnold will be an upgrade from Teddy, but I think his ceiling is a 6.5-7 out of 10. Repeat, that is his CEILING if he actually reaches it. Stick to the plan, draft a QB.
  6. Dude writes garbage for clicks. For every one article Weaver writes worth reading containing actual news, there's 10 more like this of random thoughts of throwing mud on the wall. If I want a good laugh, I usually will read one of his or David Newton's articles. Talk about being in poor company.
  7. I've been here on and off for a VERY long time.
  8. I guess you all know who I'm wanting to draft at #8. Yes, even over Wilson and definitely over Fields.
  9. Jordan Reed? He ain't overtaking Kittle in SF and would give him a chance to start again. If, BIG IF, he passes his physical with flying colors. Dude was nasty before a rash of injuries derailed his career in Washington.
  10. Dude looked horrible at the Senior Bowl. Purely a road grader. His lateral movement is non-existent.
  11. Here's the thing that most people are overlooking about a TE. Who is usually the #1 security blanket for a rookie QB? That's right, so we better damned well make sure we give our rookie QB a warm, fuzzy woobie! This dude from Seattle will be competing with Thomas as the #2 TE if Fits plays his cards right. Fits, don't pull a Hurn...wait, that was completely uncalled for. My bad.
  12. Well, If we would have addressed this over the past 3-4 drafts like I wanted, we wouldn't be in this predicament, lol. I wanted a TE of consequence since the 2017 draft. Even when we drafted Thomas in the 4th round, I had my doubts about him. Unfortunately this isn't the draft to fix it now. Get an established veteran TE in here on a 2-3 year deal and draft his heir apparent on day 2 next year (2022) to groom.
  13. A lot of the Senior Bowl guys have day 3 or UDFA grades. I'm all for trading back in the 5th to accumulate more picks. If we get to 10 picks, I'll be happy. That way we can get a guy for every positions I feel we need. Yes, I have mocked it out! More or less in order: QB, OT, CB, C, DT, ILB, DE, CB, S, OG
  14. Some people are freaks. Oh, you meant...
  15. The Browns got an extra 1st, 2nd and 3rd. That was too pricey. The 1st was a given, but the second is where the overkill is especially with the 3rd tacked on. The 1st and 3rd should have worked.
  16. Sure there is. Smoke and mirrors and you guys are taking hook, line and sinker. Teams are talking up QBs to hopefully get some team--see Panthers-- to trade up in order to get the QB that certainly will not be there. I'm talking Jets, Falcons, Eagles and Lions. At TWO of them take a QB, and I'm hedging just one. I've said it once and I'll say it again, QB4 will ABSOLUTELY be there at #8. Whether it is Fields or Lance, I'm not sure, but one of the two.
  17. Seriously, if we miss out on a QB in the draft and a blockbuster deal can't be reached, I wouldn't mind Andy Dalton on a cheap (QB cheap) deal and let him compete with Teddy for the starting spot. If he wins, cut Teddy and he'll be a post June 1 cut by then. The dead cap isn't too bad this season and only $5M in 2022.
  18. Here you go guys, a list of the UFA QBs. Have at it. 2021 UFA Quarterbacks
  19. The thread did say "surprise QB". Jimmy G--Surprise!!!!
  20. Some people are seriously high around here. You don't draft a guy #4 overall and sit him on the bench with no chance at starting. Yeah, I want Lance at #8 and want to slow roll him, but with TB at the helm, crap, Trey might end up winning the job in camp.
  21. Hey, it's a random thread, asking a random question, so I gave a random-@$$ answer.
  22. I have said all along the Falcons are not taking a QB this draft. If they did, it would the local kid Fields, but that is a SLIM possibility.
