  1. Corresponding move to Elder returning is the team let Omar Bayless go. I thought having 5 WRs on the practice squad was unsustainable.
  2. I never thought I'd say this, but can we get back to to 3 yards and a cloud of dust days?
  3. He's like the Brenstin Bersin of the defense. We keep cutting him and yet he still finds he way back.
  4. Context here, but no, it shows the winning offense put up a goose egg and likely there is a problem with the said offense. However, if you cover the spread, there's nothing problem apparently while getting shut out. All is well though, spread covered.
  5. Woah now, we can't have facts interfere with this all this back-patting against a bad team. What's with you crushing the moral around here, man?
  6. So you can judge a team's performance based off if they covered the spread or not? So if a team won 7-3 on defensive TD, based off 3.5 point spread, everything is just peachy. Got it.
  7. Yup, and he used it to it's fullest potential. That's how it is done.
  8. If the offense runs hot and cold like it did yesterday, we are going to have to lean on our defense as we always have. Some things never change...
  9. This is how we solve the problem, run 2 TE sets....max protect, bench Darnold and run CMC out of the wildcat every play. No?
  10. Odd, bullet points are missing from the offensive output in the second half...other that the one about hanging on to win by 5.
  11. Okay, clearly you are just happy with the win, warts and all. If this team performs like that all year, we may win 5 games. When I say team, that includes the coaching staff, not just the players.
  12. Don't think that was him either. I'm not sure who that was.
  13. That doesn't sound like David Newton. His southern accent is thicker, voice deeper and sounds like he smokes a pack of filterless cigarettes per day. Honestly, that sounds like Gantt.
  14. Dude, look at what I am saying. I'm complaining about the SECOND half. We got beat by the Jets on the field. I could care less what was on the scoreboard. Playing one solid half of football and then laying egg in the other will not get many wins in this League. Lol at mediocre expectations amongst this fan base brought upon by Ron Rivera syndrome.
  15. Second half drives: Drive 1- (-1) yard--punt Drive 2- 22 yards--punt Drive 3- (-2) yards--punt Drive 4- 57 yards--FG Drive 5- 11 yards--punt Drive 6- 24 yards--kneel down as time expires That's how to close out an opponent there. I mean we had nearly as many yards in the one FG drive as the rest put together. But hey, as long as we put one solid half in against the Saints next week, we should be good, right?
  16. The second half was called poorly by Brady. So yes, I still would have a gripe.
  17. The Jets offense was going to get some points, that's not the problem. It's hard to pitch a shutout in the NFL. My problem was with our second half offense, particularly the play calling, lack of of adjustments and failure to realize adjustments would need to be made.
  18. Those plays were also in the first half. Yes, I still would be complaining about the second half even with 2-3 more TDs on the board. The point remains, we got beat soundly on the field by a bad Jets team in the second half regardless of what was displayed on the scoreboard.
  19. The Saints DL is looking at this an licking their chops. Oh, and who didn't see this hot mess coming? Most of us did, but the somehow caching staff didn't???
  20. Totally sarcasm; I'm well versed in it. The point remains, we got out-coached in the second half and it didn't have to be that way. Only a Panthers' staff would assume the opponent, who got beat badly in first half, would not come out super-aggressive in the second half. The Jets defensive front four is the strength of that team and dialing up pressure all second half was the only way they were going to get back in the game. Who didn't see that coming? Apparently Joe Brady.
  21. So the Jets made second half adjustments? Wow, that's crazy. That's odd because I thought you have a game plan and stick with it no matter what, even when it becomes ineffective. I mean, that's the Panthers' way, right?
  22. Um guys, they were in 'I" formation which tips the play is a run no matter who the players at FB and TE are. It could have been play action, but not much of that yesterday either. Oh yeah, that not wanting to put too much on film thing.
