Only if the value is right and not before round 5. I really only like two dudes, Wiley and Holker. The draft would have to fall perfectly up to that point for us to take one. I'm not sure Wiley lasts until round 5 though. Holker is older and has limited upside, but is a natural pass catcher (something that our current TEs sorely lack). We'd have to use a fifth rounder on him because he won't be there when we draft in the 7th. I like one of the 5ths for IOL. Centers are slow movers in the draft. We can get a decent one there. I think only like 7 centers get drafted each year on average. So in round 5 we'd probably be looking at Center4/5. That would be in the Limmer/Nugent/Bortolini grouping.

Remember, we gave him the option to explore a trade and there were no takers. He's a #4 at best. If he can't run a majority of the route tree and 'go' routes are his bread and butter, then we have a DJ Chark 2.0. We keep him around this year as depth and let him walk in FA next offseason. FWIW, there's actually about $1M in cap space if he's cut. If the cap gets real tight and we land a good prospect in the draft, he may walk this year

If we draft a TE it's going to have to be a unique situation where our prioritized positions have already been addressed and the value at other positions aren't there. One of the weakest TE drafts in recent memory and the Panthers may finally take a swing on one. Spot on for this struggling franchise. I've been beating this drum since the 2018 draft and NOW I'm saying it's cool if we skip TE this draft cycle because of how thin it is.

I think we are in a good place to take BPA in the draft. Definitely a top WR, Edge and CB early as they still need an upgrade. I would like to see a RB, Center and DE. If we get a TE or OLB, I'd be cool with that too.

He's too macho or something for Tepper. Every time Minshew is a FA, the Panthers avoid him like the plague.

Wentz or Tannehill. Are we keeping three QBs this year? I still want a developmental type for camp and possibly the PS.

At least the fair catch went away. That was stupid. Honestly, it's a step towards the old KO, just the amount of open field to build up a full head of steam is taken away, thus less injuries. I think this format will entice more returns. That part I like. Last year's KO's were so boring.

There's several rough groups. Anyone saying it's just 'x' is delusional. Of course this all can't be fixed in one year and saying we are even close is laughable.

I like the #141 and #240 pick, that's about it.

No sir, I don't like it. Of course SI is more/less defunct, correct? I mean, how serious of content do they have now? Not that SI has been relevant for a decade or more.

Since the panthers.com bot is banned: Dan Morgan Speaks

I've said this time and time again this offseason. Bryce WILL BE better, but he's still not a franchise QB. Both statements can be true at the same time. -
Tepper's not quite as bad as Snyder was, but pretty darn close.

Or people can bookmark Panthersdotcom and check things out for themselves, like I do. If folks want to link meaningful content, great. We just don't need every fluff piece that pops up over there being spammed here. I enjoy the bot ban. -
Athletic projection for #33as of March 21
45catfan replied to raleigh-panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
At #33, there's really not a reach at most positions of need with exception to TE. WR, CB, OLB, DL, and OL will have players to choose from without reaching. -

Athletic projection for #33as of March 21
45catfan replied to raleigh-panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
We need an edge, literally and figuratively. There will be plenty of WRs still available at the top of the 3rd round. Pass rushers drop off fairly quickly. So WR/OLB at #33 and #39 and then WR again at #65 I'd be cool with. -
MHS's first round mock with BPA and trade scenarios for #33
45catfan replied to MHS831's topic in 2023 NFL Draft
I like him too, not at #33 though. In a trade back or at #39, sure. Since we have pick #39 now, I'm firmly in trade back mode unless a steal is on the board as day two starts. I can't envision a MUST have player at #33 that wouldn't have the same caliber of player six picks later still on the board. Pick up the extra selection in the mid rounds. That's where I would take an IOL, specifically a center. -
Unnecessary Bluntness: Do Panthers already have a draft crush?

*cough *Brock Bowers *cough* -
So you're saying he won't be back? Is that a bad thing?

Estime has some 'wiggle' where Allen is very stiff. Estime also has a second gear where Allen doesn't. Allen would be the better battering ram though. Again, I'm doing back flips if we get either of them.
