  1. Definitely do not want now. Tepper had better pump the breaks on this trade thing. If true, this makes 'jeans Friday' look akin to jaywalking.
  2. Always love a good Mel Brooks film! He's a taking a dump outdoors because the castle got repo-ed in the scene just prior to this.
  3. So the QB draft freakout crew can officially chill now. I personally thought the possibility of the Falcons drafting a QB in the top 5 was less than 10%. Again, we don't have to worry about he teams ahead of us, rather the teams behind us. Ryan is still relatively young, not injury prone and actually puts up decent numbers every year. It would be stupid for the Falcons to kick him to the curb. Cap relief? Sure and they got him to restructure to help with that.
  4. Here you go guys: FA DTs Anyone remember Larry Ogunjobi? Hint: his school is VERY local. Edit: Crap, OTC doesn't save the positional tab when you link it, so click the IDL tab.
  5. I like Twyman, but he's a pass rushing DT, I think only at 280 pounds? McNeill would be steep in the 2nd, but if he's still there at #73, snag his butt.
  6. I've been mocking ONE DT, but you have a point that we may need to double up now.
  7. True, but is Roy a starter or a backup? Most would say a backup.
  8. Fair enough, but all I'm saying is if he is our starting LT whomever is behind center is in BIG trouble; the discounted price for a "starter" at that point is moot.
  9. Makes zero sense. Only thing I can think of is Rhule is looking for a true nose tackle. Obada definitely doesn't fit the bill and while Kerr was built for it, played more of 3-tech from what I remember. Note to self: look for nose tackle in the draft.
  10. So you have him penciled in at starting LT? Cool, nobody else does.
  11. IF he plays tackle and IF he starts. Let's say there's a lot of IFs.
  12. The Elflein deal isn't bad money-wise, but the Erving contract is the one that's a little too pricey for me, even ranked 77th. There's 160 starting O-linemen in the League. So yeah, 77th seems high and there's no guarantee he'll even start,so......
  13. $2.13M for Right of First Refusal isn't bad. I mean look what we paid injury-plagued OL in FA today.
  14. Agreed, so we get mirror images of them and more than double the money?
  15. Wasn't he the only RFA we had yet to re-sign?
  16. Last year salaries for the following OL FAs: Miller $1.8M, Reed $1.4M and Schofield $1M. So yeah, the two new signees seem overpaid.
  17. Nah, we only overpay for average O-linmen FAs. As for TE? We will wait until there's nothing left and have to re-sign Manhertz if he's still around. Remember, we signed that Seahawks castoff. Superb Owl!
  18. I think the Texans are going after players they think can help the team and also keep Watson in the fold. It may just be me, but it seemed Watson relationship started to sour with Texans when his college and Texans teammate Deandre Hopkins was traded. The Texans may feel if they can add 2 or 3 ex-Tigers to the team, maybe Watson may tone down the rhetoric and opt to play for them.
  19. I think you missed my point. If Elfien was all that, why would they draft his replacement? Doubtful it was a BPA scenario. Centers RARELY are atop the board in the first round--mid round or not.
  20. Yay!!!!! When WRs got a step on Douglas, it was like.....
  21. I'm that dude that waits for things to go on sale and not jump on them as soon as they hit the shelf. Call it the cheapskate in me. No doubt we need OL depth and with our history of OL injuries we surely need positional flexibility. However, these guys (or guys like them) would be available days from now and probably at a discounted rate from what we intend to give them.
  22. I don't hate the moves, just question the timing and the amount of money (very much related).
