  1. Can we rent some O-linemen? Otherwise, those stretch of games might not be as winnable as they look.
  2. I'd rather this defense get their humble pie NOW than later in the year. This is WAYYYY too early to peak. This really young group got exposed yesterday and that's okay. It will be a learning tool going forward. I have no doubt they will bounce back. I had no delusions of going 17-0. Study, learn and benefit from it. Coach Snow needed this too. He has to draw up counter-scheme to what the League now sees as the blue print to attack our defense. Again, better early in the season than late to make these adjustments. If a team gets exposed late in the year, they are what they are at that point and it's difficult to shift gears.
  3. I'd say you are probably wrong. We caught a hot Dallas team, at home, and we were coming off a week of upheaval with several players. Call it an excuse if you want, but it's a fact. There was no way we were going to adequately replace Burris, Horn, CMC and Arnold in a week. To top it off, throwing a dude out there in Henderson that had only been here a few days. In short, I'm not hitting the panic button over one bad game. Yes, everyone knows our OL is bad. We can scheme around it to a degree especially when we get CMC back. Just about every team in the NFL gets humbled throughout the season at some point. Dallas will get theirs too, I'm sure. We just have to figure out how to duct tape that OL for the rest of this year, it is what it is until the offseason.
  4. Hey, Mike Remmers will be available! *ducks for incoming* It's a joke, please don't poo me.....
  5. A one-score game loss on the road is nothing to agonize over. People can say the failed come back was in "garbage time" but the last I checked, Dallas didn't sub in their second string defense en masse. It was a matter of too little, too late.
  6. Sam helped put up 4 TDs and our defense looked exposed today. Both of Darnold's picks were under extreme duress. Darnold is the real deal.
  7. Is he a bust? It's WAAaaayyyyyyyy too early to tell, but yeah, that would be the downside.
  8. This game will be about our offensive production, period. Dallas will put up some points, nothing crazy, but don't expect us to hold our 10 point per game average here. We will probably have to put up over 24 points to win. Our defense will slow Dallas, but won't be able to shut them down, so the Panthers offense has to bring it today.
  9. Being an ex-skins fan (pre-Panthers), I've always loathed the Cowgirls. Obviously the Turdy Birds are atop the crap list now, but Dallas is still a close 2nd place. Yes, even over the Saints who round out my top three most disliked teams.
  10. The wife started a pot roast yesterday evening. It's been cooking all night. The house smells absolutely amazing!
  11. Makes sense as we are thin at RB and S due to injury, bare bones at LB and still unsettled at K.
  12. We gave them a heaping helping of humble pie during our Thanksgiving match up. They were pretty sure of themselves that game too. Man I miss Luke, he was an absolute BEAST in that game!
  13. Sad part is they will at least beat us once based on our rivalry. No matter how good we are, we seldomly sweep the Turdy Birds (see 2015). I hope I'm wrong and we smack'em with a broom this year!
  14. I would like nothing better than their new name (whatever it may be) to get canceled and they have to go find yet another one. One you bend to cancel culture the first time, they know they got you.
  15. Yeah, the closest I ever to coming to trading punches with someone at the stadium was a Cowgirls fan. He kept referencing their 5 rings every time they made a play. I was like, that sh1t is ancient history dude. The back and forth got more heated as the game went on. I think we won the game, but all I really remember was that prick. That being said, man I miss the good ole days at the stadium! Today, security would have been there before the end of the first quarter and we both would have been tossed.
  16. After nearly two decades of incompetence, I still am skeptical that Hurney was calling the shots in the 2020 draft. Also, some of the first guys listed were Gettleman selections.
  17. I wasn't really referring to you, but I remember a thread being started about it and essentially saying the team was so far behind that 2021 would be the cornerstone ( ground zero, year 1) of the future still too green to compete and that 2022 would be our first competitive team.
  18. I suspect ole Fitts will do everything in his power to get one, if not both, back. The 2022 draft was going to FINALLY be the one where we focused on the OL, legitimately, not counting day 3 project picks. I was hoping for a starting LT and C out of our 1st and 3rd rounds (obviously no 2nd rounder). Yes, starting centers can be had in the 3rd round, but once you get to day 3 though, it's slim pickings.
  19. On a pitch count and in certain situations, perhaps. He's not going to get the start with the idea of logging 100% of the defensive snaps.
  20. Yeah, situational or manned up on the slot. I don't see him as a plug and play guy for the game versus Dallas. In two weeks? Possibly.
  21. CJ doesn't know our scheme. It would be irresponsible to just throw him out there and not even know his teammates names yet, let alone how we run our defense.
  22. Remember we need a franchise LT AND CENTER, that's unless you think we should extend Paradis?
  23. Yep, some insisted 2021 would be truly year 1 of the Rhule rebuild and we wouldn't be competitive until 2022. I respectfully disagreed.
  24. I did and took into account he and his coach don't see eye-to-eye. I'm just pumping the breaks a little bit, that's all. Initially I got got up in an early in-season trade (SUPER rare for us) but then I started to dig a little bit and understand while this guy obviously has potential, he hasn't come close to utilizing it for whatever reason.
  25. I get it and if it works out then great. You guys are making Henderson out to be Revis or something. Dude is HARDLY a known/certain commodity. If so we would be giving up a lot more than a 3rd. This a calculated risk for sure. Henderson, while a first round pick, has not looked worthy of the #9 overall selection. Everyone is getting caught up on his draft status and not what he's done since his draft day. Take his draft status out of it and this is what everyone is so jacked up over:
