  1. I am. Neal, Ekwonu and Cross are stacked #3, #4 and #5 overall on my favorite BB. So unless Hutchinson or Walker falls to #6, all those dudes are ranked WELL ahead of either Willis or Pickett. Also, you don't hang your hat on a 3rd round guy when a better prospect is there for the taking. Willis is #14 and Pickett is #30 on that site. But hey, we need a QB. For all of Marty Hurney's faults...and there was a ton of them, he stuck to this philosophy regarding first round picks and never missed.
  2. I've never graded out higher in this mock simulator. Maybe a top 10 draft once before. This graded out at the #1 draft in the simulation.
  3. Lol! A top 15 pick and the draft grade is a freaking C-!!! There's your sign....
  4. So we want to waste maybe the one year Campen is here on an older, injured LT who has hit his ceiling versus drafting a LT and getting solid coaching from this dude before Rhule and staff are likely canned next year.
  5. You draft until the answer is found and you also draft BPA in round 1. Both are truisms. If they feel Pickett or Willis is somehow better than Ekwonu, Neal or Cross, then so be it. However, most BBs I've seen (outside of Cross in some instances) don't have them stacked like that. So you are breaking cardinal rule #1 and committing cardinal sin #1, don't reach out of desperation. Running the draft off emotion never ends well.
  6. Doubling down on stupid doesn't make it better. I can't see how drafting a QB next month makes this team any better. I know what they are hoping for; sit the rookie this year and start next season after Darnold departs. One problem, that's assuming the rookie amounts to something. I don't think they will. Not this year's crop.
  7. Yes, but a rookie QB in a horrid class makes much better sense. Wait...we are talking about Matt Rhule, so in thinking bass-ackwards, it makes total sense!
  8. So you are willing to pass up a top 5 LT prospect because you don't feel BC got a fair shake? I'm not sure I follow that train of thought. That's definitely not how you run successful a draft.
  9. Lance produced more, prototypical size and did nothing but win. Willis couldn't win the starting job, had to transfer and looked decent...unless playing solid competition. If Lance was a project QB, I'm not sure to categorize Willis as.
  10. Why not? When he's comletely healthy, he's actually solid. Problem is will we be getting the pre-injury Fisher or are we getting Matt Kalil part 2.
  11. I don't want to pick any QB this draft. These guys would have been late firsts or second rounders in last years QB class. It would be fitting as Rhule gets canned that his last 'gift' to us is he drafts a QB that doesn't move the needle one iota and we are still searching for our franchise signal caller even after his departure.
  12. I think it's just to keep their options open. If we come out the other side of FA with no LT options, we almost have to draft one, even a the risk of reaching if the big three are gone. I get we have BC and Erving, but the first is a project and the later is a placeholder. Neither are the answer for franchise LT. If Brown comes here it would be a 3-year deal MAX and likely structured for two years of actual service. We'd be looking for his successor next draft season anyway. In short, signing Brown in no way takes us out of the LT sweepstakes this draft.
  13. Throwing ridiculously high money at an older, oft injured player...even if it is at a position of critical need makes little sense especially when we are in the position to draft a really solid LT prospect.
  14. 2023 guys, we draft our QB then. Why do you all want Rhule rescued this season?
  15. Just saw where Cleveland signed him to be Waston's backup. If Watson is suspended some games, they needed a solid backup to fill in.
  16. You have heard of optional and voidable years, correct? We sign a FA QB for this season (year 1). Draft a QB next year and if the rookie isn't game ready some or all of the season we have the fall back veteran (year 2). If the the rookie rookie is ready to go in his second year we can either cut or demote FA QB to backup (optional year 3). I guess you are content to just keep giving PJ Walker one-year contracts.
  17. Nah, I'll pass. Take the LT at #6, sign a FA QB to like a 3-year deal. He'll beat out Sam, so we don't have to see that trainwreck this year and the team, while better, should still be bad enough to get Rhule fired. We draft the QB next year and with a new (competent) staff...off we go!
  18. I wanted to draft this guy on day 3 a few years back. Fitting we ended up with him anyway after another team developed him.
  19. If we sign Wagner that would be awesome! Clowney is a hard pass.
  20. Just as long as he don't allow women to wear jeans at work!!!!
  21. Baker to the Seahawks if he can get the Browns to move him. No way they are content with Drew Locke. Baker is similar in at lot of ways to Wilson.
  22. Let's just sign Mariota or Brissett in FA and roll with it. Stop with the trading BS. Take our lumps in 2022 and draft our QB in 2023. Meanwhile improve where we can in other areas of the roster.
  23. Watson would have given Rhule a lifeline. Among many of my objections to Watson, that was at the top of the list.
  24. Great! Now I can hate on the Saints/Falcons even more. They have always rubbed me the wrong way anyway. What? Too soon?
