  1. Not shabby, but the signings so far have been a mixed bag for me.
  2. Mario Addison was a poor man's edge rusher. Haynes is a poor man's Mario Addison. So he's a poor man's--->poor man's edge rusher. Major score! Fug this front office.
  3. One trick pony; dumb signing. We should have traded him.
  4. And Watson will play CB on defense! Old school two-way player...
  5. Go get some yard work done like I am doing. Come in to hydrate for a few minutes and get a good laugh reading this crap, then get back at it.
  6. Houston has a say as well. I get it's likely us our the Saints, but Houston can get a legit starter in Hurts and a quicker return if the trade partner is Philly. Simply saying, Philly is likely the Texans' top choice of a trade partner.
  7. The Eagles have the most firepower. Even those in the organization that like Hurts knows he's never going to be elite. It's a matter if Watson will want to go there. Houston looking at this draft haul has to be licking their chops. Heck, Philly can meet Houston's draft haul demands this year alone.
  8. This was published yesterday prior to Brady returning, so obviously the Bucs are out now. "Besides the Saints and Panthers, other teams including the Seattle Seahawks, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Pittsburgh Steelers, Philadelphia Eagles, Indianapolis Colts and Cleveland Browns are expected to show interest in acquiring Watson, who previously has waived his no-trade clause only for the Miami Dolphins." https://www.fox8live.com/2022/03/13/saints-have-made-trade-offer-texans-qb-deshaun-watson-report-says/

  10. Next year's class is loaded. Nothing is a sure thing, obviously, but if you are a team planning on drafting a QB next spring, that is the nice class to be doing so.
  11. Which ends Sam's tenure here and will lead us to a high draft pick 2023 thereby drafting our future QB1 and Rhule finally gets tossed out on his arse. A win, win, win situation.
  12. Rhule won't be fired until after the season. Tepper has already committed to Matt this season by NOT firing him to date. It's too far in the offseason process to let him go now.
  13. Man, it looks like Tepper is ready to drop the towel and give Watson a personal rub and tug himself...with extra special happy ending.
  14. Our RB is forever hurt, might be part of the trade. Our OL already is missing two parts, maybe three. Any team that gets Watson is losing draft picks, so that's a wash. We have more cap room than the Saints. Again, is that in Watson's consideration? 'I want to go to a team with lots of cap space'. Nah, not seeing that as a factor in his decision.
  15. And if Darnold isn't in the trade? The Texans aren't obligated to him.
  16. It doesn't matter, once he's inked the Saints can do contract gymnastics to get under the cap. They always do. Watson could care less about their cap situation as long as their core players stays intact for the time being.
  17. Keys FAs as in plural. Remember we also lose a couple key young guys and no first rounders for 3 years. The way we've been throwing money at mediocre players, I have little hope our cap situation is anything but doomed in attempt to quickly build around Watson before he hits FA. Again, this Watson thing looks worse and worse to me the more I ponder it.
  18. If we get Watson, there is no pick #6 this year. BC has to be the guy...good, mediocre or terrible.
  19. So Rhule is over short-arm LT phobia? Even so, rolling with BC doesn't make him elite. I like BC, but franchise LT he is not.
  20. And doubling down on dumb. Imagine if he gets his butt handed to him in civil court or he turns in CMC with an infestation of injury bugs. All you have to show for it is a depleted roster and no real future in the draft for the next several years. So stupid for one player.
  21. I thought the Rams were the late contender, not us? The deal was all but done (Stafford to the Panthers) when McVay invited the Stafford family to Cancun and the rest is is history. Point being, the better offer got declined because the player wanted to go elsewhere. If Watson does end up with a team other than Carolina, don't be shocked if we actually had the best offer on the table.
  22. Hmmm, I'm not turning down a huge payday for my family to go work for my best friend. Sure that played into it, but LA>Charlotte, Rams roster>Panthers roster and Rams coaching>Panthers coaching. The familiarity was a perk, but Stafford wanted no part of this mess.
  23. Nah, that would be batting .1000 for this franchise under this regime. I mean if that were a prop bet, I'd be willing to throw scratch at it.
