  1. ^^^This. Rhule is in self-preservation mode. There's not a deal he won't pursue if he thinks it will keep him him beyond 2022.
  2. Funny how all the Hornet "buzz" has died down here recently. Crazy how a losing streak slump suddenly brings out the crickets as where a month ago people were contrasting "winning" Hornets to the dead-beat Panthers organization. Truth be known, they both suck...
  3. Ah, tricky how they treat screenshots...anyway, #6 Cross and #106 TE Isiah Likely-CCU, the rest is unobstructed.
  4. Yet we are saddled with a guy that can't read from the pocket unless it's completely clean. Winning!!!!
  5. Yeah, funny how personal feelings trumps statistics. Stafford, hell yeah!!!!!!! Cousins, isn't he worse than Danrold????
  6. Bro, you aren't getting it....Rhule is on a short leash and if getting a veteran QB saves his a$$, then rational team building theories go out the freaking window.
  7. We are not winning a Super Bowl with Rhule no matter who we get at QB. My point is, if Rhule is hell bent about acquiring a QB, Cousins isn't the worst option. Who you got we trade for at QB that's not a pipe dream?
  8. I'd rather have Jimmy G., but if a QB trade is going down (and it appears it will) Cousins isn't the worst option. My question is what do we give up? I'm more worried about that than Cousins being a Panther.
  9. I have a feeling that Neal is the one that slides to us if I were to guess. Icky has all but caught Neal on many BBs I've seen, if not surpassed him, and Cross keeps getting higher too. Cross has the best ceiling as a pure pass pro LT, Icky behind him and whereas Neal has the lowest ceiling. I think the two guys that have the ability to take the next step as franchise LTs may end up ahead of Neal.
  10. I don't want to improve the QB position this year. Why? I don't want Rhule anywhere near our QB of the future. His butt needs to be out the door before we get our franchise QB. So yeah, Rhule rides with Darnold and PJ Walker this year, hopefully gets canned, and we start the REAL rebuild in 2023.
  11. I said this last year when the 49ers drafted Lance that if Darnold was a bust, we would be looking at Jimmy G this year. It didn't take a rocket scientist to figure out they weren't going to keep both guys beyond this past season and Jimmy G would be available.
  12. That's going to at least have us moving back to pick #16 or lower for a straight up swap. There's not enough value any higher than that without us having to give something back in return.
  13. Yup, more flags in the final 5 minutes than the rest of the game, I think all but one was on the Bengals. The PI on the Bengal's LB Wilson was complete BS. If that was PI, then 90% of PBUs are PIs.
  14. Ah, so we need to draft a punt returner and teach him how to play QB?
  15. This is not rocket science. Draft a LT in round 1, period...end of discussion on the first round pick. We now have our bookend tackles with Moton. Draft a C/G also in the 4th or 5th round. Centers hold their value better than about any other non-STs player in the late rounds. Have him back up Elf this year (if he doesn't beat him outright) with the expectation of starting in 2023. Have BC beef up maybe 10-15 pounds and hit the weight room with him penciled in at LG. Why LG? He can be the backup LT in an emergency. Brown can't do that. Speaking of Brown...have him hit the weight room too and give that man a salad. Pencil him in at RG. In 2023, that is your starting lineup. Bring in a couple of FAs in March for depth and competition. Why is this such an enigma?
  16. LOl, but people want pin the loss on Eli Apple. Once the Rams got aggressive up front and stop trying to play coverage about midway through the 3rd quarter...the Bengals were toast. They couldn't block the 5th guy that, for whatever reason, the Rams weren't bringing the first half.
  17. Here's the bright spot about our OL, most of the dumpster fire are FAs this coming season, meaning we are essentially in a rebuild on the OL anyway. Put aside the play absolutely SUCKED this past season, but we only have Elflein (meh), BC, Brown and Moton under contract (as of now) for 2023. It's Elf's final year though. Brown and BC get coached up this year...finally so they can be solid starters in 2023, draft a couple of rookies and add in a FA or two and we have decent OL in 2023. Yes, this is two-year plan, but it makes the most sense.
  18. WE really only need 1-2 OL FA signings...IF we dedicate at least 2 picks to the OL in the draft.
  19. I'm holding out hope this is a smoke screen in case we have to trade back. Yeah, I know who really wants to trade up to #6 for Kenny Pickett? PLEASE let an OT be there!!!!
  20. Not far, he would have benched himself by week 8 and held out until his trade demands were met. He wouldn't even do that with the Lions. How crazy is that?
  21. Time and time again, great QB play with a bad OL can get you only so far. Heck, maybe even to the Super Bowl if a QB is playing out of his mind, just not far enough as in a Super Bowl win. Ask Cam Newton, Patrick Mahommes and now Joe Burrow.
