  1. Yet, Lance is already ahead of where AR-15 is at this point and people are clamoring for the more inexperienced version of the two? Lance has NFL experience now and while probably a year behind where he needs to be in development, that loss in production is on the 49ers who obviously wanted him to start this year and was until the injury. Point being, if Lance is traded (anywhere) and shows significant progress the next two seasons, the team that gets him can probably re-sign him to a very reasonable second contract by QB standards.
  2. I'd take a WR at #89 and S at #129, but overall...nice.
  3. I wouldn't say the BiG 12 is elite competition, but Brock Purdy is doing well. Why? He played and started 47 games in college ( only game he didn't play was the opener his freshman year). His college stats weren't eye popping by any means, good completion %, but overall average. When he got to the NFL, the game wasn't too big for him.
  4. You were one of the few, if not the only one. I was indifferent on Hurts (not down on him, not super excited either) but the haters were extremely vocal if you recall. "Lost his job to Tua" "forced to transfer" "system QB at OK" "undersized" " "Not worth a pick because he's not a 1st rounder" etc....
  5. The level of play is a bit overblown. Lance struggles have do do with his age and lack of snaps in the college game. Again, I would not touch a RSO QB in the draft from here on out. The NFL QB requirements are just too much for them.
  6. Lance has started all of FOUR games in the NFL...that's all. He's appeared in just four more. In TWO of those appearances, they were goal line packages, only ONE play (he scored on both). So the guy has about 1/2 of a NFL season (really just a 1/3 season) in actual games and he's already a bust? Lance may eventually be a bust, but his body of work is way too small to say for sure at this point.
  7. Whichever floats their boat.
  8. That will be taken into consideration. So if he runs well for that weight it won't hurt him. I'd say as long as he doesn't run over a 4.7 he should be just fine. He doesn't have to run in the 4.5's as LBs are primarily responsible for TEs in coverage. He has to be as fast or faster than the typical LB. That said, I think he will crush the skills portion of his Pro day. Jumping drills will probably be average. Strength should be above average. Timed cone drills is the only part I think he will be less than average.
  9. I know I'm in the slim minority...as usual, but Queen (city) Reich
  10. Not a blue chip like this dude. Unless he bombs the combine/Pro day or gets injured he's not getting out of the teens. Conversely if he runs stellar and has an awesome showing, Mayer will be knocking on the door of the top 10.
  11. 'Hurts is garbage' was the general consensus here when he was coming out in the draft. I honestly don't remember him having any real fans, but I definitely wasn't in the majority whose sentiment of Hurts was he couldn't make it as a NFL QB.
  12. For a 3rd? DO IT! Dude needs some more coaching and why people pooing Lance and riding AR-15s jock strap can't grasp the irony if it fell out of the sky and landed right on their heads. RSOs are RAW. If anything Lance should be the flashing sign to stay away for RSO QBs. The QB position is too damn demanding in the NFL for a 20-year old to grasp. Lance may or may not be a bust, but what is certain is he should have stayed in school at least another year.
  13. Eichenburg went back to school I thought. I agree we are so thin at LB realistically we need an ILB and an OLB.

    How about Addison?

I think having Burrow at QB propped him up more than his own abilities. I think he's middling-to-bust.
  16. True, most contracts are 3-4 years. If that were the case, fans would bounce around like kid at a trampoline park.
  17. I've been in management for years now and the one constant question you get in a promotional-type of interview is "if you are considered for this position (a promotion) do you have YOUR replacement named AND trained?"
  18. Postseason receiving stats through the first week:

TMJ is a potential bust. He's simply too much more "off" than "on". A big play every few games isn't enough to sell me he's still up and coming.

Johnston declared before the deadline. We have options now.
