  1. The NFC Championship game in the 2nd year wasn't too shabby, right? Anyone defending Tepper's record when contrasting the JR era simply hated JR. There's no logical reason to defend Tepper. It's been one misstep, bungle, humiliation after another. Granted, we were never a perennial powerhouse under JR, but at least we would make some noise every so often. We are the laughingstock of the NFL right now. I listen to sports talk every morning on the way to work. Remember how the Browns and Jets would be the butt of every NFL joke? Well, now, it's the Panthers! Seriously, just happened the other day where this team was a punchline. We were bad under JR from time to time, but the team would inevitably bounce back. Under Tepper we have fallen into the cellar and can't find the way out.
  2. JR produced a winning product every other season, or at least a better record than the prior year. if we had a bad season, you knew it was going to be better the next. This crap under Tepper is horrible. No winning seasons and a high water mark of seven wins in Rivera's last year(2018)--who wasn't his hire and he fired. Wilks too got to 7 too, but he got canned as well.
  3. The least interested I've been heading into a season in 30 years of Panthers' football. Yes, even less than year three of Matt Rhule. At least he got canned and renewed my interest that season. This year, no amount of reshuffling the deck chairs on the Titanic could make a difference in my interest. I'll still watch...for a while, at least. However, getting excited about Panthers football every Sunday has been sapped out of me slowly every year under Tepper. My give-a-damn meter is bouncing near zero for this franchise at this point.
  4. Yup, Tepper couldn't keep his nose out of the coaching staff's business and made a bad situation worse. Nothing worse than a micromanaging boss that don't know their arse from a hole in the ground trying to tell experts how to do their jobs. That's probably the point when Tepper suggested we change the offense/play caller that the backstabbing and snitching started. The staff went into self preservation mode instead of entirely focusing on coaching the team.
  5. Reverse psychology tactic. Plummer's level of suckitude will make Young look like a Patrick Mahomes in comparison. Masterful psy-ops by the front office.
  6. It's a numbers game, he won't make it.
  7. ^This, but that makes too much sense for the Panthers. I routinely mock 1-2 O-linemen every year just because of our historic lack of quality and depth there, especially post Rivera era. I wanted a center this year, as did a lot of Huddlers who use the mock thread. We ended up taking a DT and ANOTHER ILB with the last two picks instead.
  8. The sensitive vagina strategy. Activity may cause pain and discomfort, therefore it must be avoided.
  9. The play designed sucked. A missed tackle and great individual effort by a dude that will be cut in 10 days was the difference from being the stuffed in the backfield to a TD.
  10. This team has too many holes for a surprise cut. Maybe a injury settlement with a fringe starter, but that's probably it.
  11. I never said they didn't do anything. I even said they even went with several positions I actually wanted. However, the order, trade ups, guys in those position groups I would have done differently.
  12. "Can" do something and being excellent at it are vastly different things. The team feeling confident in spit-balling the center position is quintessential Panthers. RB, TE, ILB and WR were positions of need, but the order of the positions and players picked I had issue with. At least we traded back to get a full slate of picks next year.
  13. Some mocked Frazier as the top pick even over a WR. The point being, center was a glaring need and we decided to move a injury prone RG who has never played center as our 'fix'. The fan base was all over taking a center. FYI, usually on 5-6 centers get taken in a typical draft. Raym at #12 is beyond camp fodder.
  14. A typical mock. Players would change, but the position groups remained fairly consistent. Going back quickly through that mock thread Just about everyone took a center.
  15. That or waiting to final cuts to bring in/trade for an actual center. I chuckled when I frist found out that Corbett was going to be our center this season. If healthy, he'll probably do the best he can, but surely he will be the weak link in the OL.
  16. Specifically, nobody yet. However, here's what I want in the draft (no particular order) QB (backup) WR C OLB CB T NT
  17. I also said we should have drafted a center. Again, what do I know? It pains me to see as a casual observer, with no formal football scouting training, the blatantly obvious moves this team should make and they end up going completely in a different direction.
  18. Can't let you suffer through this season alone. Misery loves company my friend. We stick with this team no matter what.
  19. Not all guac is the same, just like anything else. I've had amazing, and I've had some that I imagine dog poo would taste like.
  20. Clicks in Juan's threads gives his him tingles in his gibblets.
  21. I've been saying BC as the swing tackle for two years now, but what do I know?
  22. It's almost regular season Our team still sucks I look forward to the fall weather
  23. Three hours of my life I'll never get back. Seriously thinking about taking up a new hobby this fall. I can't be wasting my Sunday afternoons like that.
  24. From the 'Best and Worst' weekly write up: 20. WR Terrace Marshall Jr.: 44.5 21. C Andrew Raym: 43.0 22. QB Jack Plummer: 39.2 23. WR Jonathan Mingo: 37.6 24. C Cade Mays: 33.7 Hmmm...two 2nd round WRs that can't even do sh*t against backups.
