  1. Shi Smith time. Unless we get Devin Hester reincarnated, it's dumb to hold up a roster position just for a returner when they offer nothing else.
  2. That has always been Baker's problem. Lot's of mediocre sprinkled in with some superb and some horrible.
  3. Reid still is the play caller, no?
  4. OJ Howard just weeks ago. (Two TDs yesterday for the Texans, FYI) We had the opportunity. I wanted too, but noooooooooo.
  5. Ickey gave up 2 sacks on 27 pass attempts. Not great, but not horrible considering who he was going against. Baker got sacked two other times as well. What make Ickey's stand out more was the sacks were on consecutive plays. Had the two sacks been spread out like one in the first quarter and the other in the 4th, they wouldn't have been so glaring.
  6. But implementing casual Friday's...uh, I mean, TIGHT WOMEN'S JEANS FRIDAYS! I still say it was coup de'tat.
  7. When Rhule took over this team, as a franchise, the Panthers were only 9 games below .500. That could be made up with one good season. Now we are 23 games below .500. It would take years to get this franchise back to mediocrity.
  8. I would love to get back to mediocrity! That's what we had with Jerry Richardson and Fox/Rivera. That said, any interim coach isn't the answer, but damn, at least I can get excited about game days again. I honestly can't remember being as apathetic about an opening game as I was yesterday.
  9. One problem, Charlotte is a top 5 city in the nation for people to move to. It's been a problem the Panthers have faced for years and it's only getting worse as more people move to Charlotte. I gave up that battle a long time ago--trying to convince people to pull for their 'new' team. It's not like they are just dropping the team they have pulled for years just because they moved to the area.
  10. With a 41% winning record, why wouldn't we keep him? (Hopefully people understand sarcasm).
  11. His press conference after being hired. He sounded like a used car salesman and has lived up to the billing.
  12. Call it a Rhule revenge game and that will put a nail the coffin.
  13. Barkley looking at the Clevaland game film and what Chubb did against us:
  14. Does it make me a bad fan to hope we lose until Rhule is fired? Like in Shawshank Redemption, sometimes you have to crawl through a bunch of poo to come out better on the other side.
  15. Hopefully the strong finish is after Rhule is let go.
  16. What do you think Payton was before he was a HC? Payton called the plays for NO as well.
  17. Only problem being Tepper--"brass balls Tepper"-- is a little attached to his boy Rhule. You would think a hedge fund guy would be somewhat ruthless, personal feelings aside. After all, business is business.
  18. Whomever does it first is at the head of the line for Sean Payton.
  19. Yep, because playing like dog poo for 3 straight quarters is the ref's fault. Had we handled our business, that last drive for Cleveland wouldn't have mattered. It only mattered because when the game was nearly out of hand, we finally figured out how to play football and made the game close.
  20. We have the Giants on the road and then Saints at home next two up. If we are 0-3 at that point with the schedule only getting harder, Tepper should pull the trigger. Will he? Probably not. Tepper will run this organization further into the ground trying to prove that Rhule was not a bad hire.
  21. Somewhere Joe Brady is laughing. #cannedbecausedidnotrunenough
  22. Remember, even Saban sucked as a NFL hed coach, but Rhule was supposed to break the mold? Jimmy Johnson was the last college HC (without any prior NFL coaching gigs) to be successful.
