  1. We don't have the cap room for big splash names, not to mention a ton of holes with fewer and fewer draft picks. Mid-level guys are where we are at this FA.
  2. Plenty of good RBs in this draft...if we haven't traded the rest of our picks away by then.
  3. Jimmy G.s biggest suitors are reportedly the Raiders and Texans. Fingers crossed it's the Raiders (besides lots of porn star potential girlfriends in Vegas). Who honestly WANTS to go to the Texans anyway? If the Raiders land Jimmy G., that's a double win for us. It means the Raiders are out of the QB draft market (at least first round) and the Texans may move up to #1 if our staff wants that option.
  4. I have a feeling we are going to overpay for Foreman. I like the dude, but he ain't worth breaking the bank over, especially as a two-down back. He's not dynamic enough to overpay.
  5. Lol, who? Hooker, but that's a double red shirt year. After him, is a roll of the dice. Looking at 3rd round prospects at minimum...regardless if they are over-drafted and taken in the 2nd. I mean, they ought to just roll with Trask at that point.
  6. Goes back to what what I was saying about veteran TEs and rookie/young QBs. Cam had Olsen and Shockey which was a blessing for him in his young career.
  7. Cam Jordan reworked his deal with the Saints to free up some cap room.
  8. Moves so far as of noon. Biggest move is Atlanta is trading for TE Smith from the Pats. At least one team in the NFCS values TEs. Makes sense too if Ridder is their starter. https://www.nfl.com/news/nfl-news-roundup-latest-league-updates-from-monday-march-13
  9. $22.7M, BUT Shaq's restructured deal isn't in that number. I think that will be updated later today.
  10. They are the Texans. Who knows why they do what they do.
  11. Yup, all these QBs have questions and why I don't think the staff is solidly sold on just one of them. AR-Raw Stroud- Star on a team of stars (how much was really him?) Young-Size, the lock of Levis- Accuracy and pocket presence issues
  12. Good digging! We won't likely get a Wildcard, though. In order to make the playoffs we'd have to win the division outright. The East will earn one, if not two, the West one and potentially one out of the North. It would be tough.
  13. Personally, I think we would take any of the four, BUT AR is solid QB4. All the staff has to do is have full conviction that some team ahead of us WILL take him. Honestly, we would be fine with any of the other three, IMO. If the Cardinals don't trade back, we could be looking at two prospects even at pick #4. Moving back with the Texans will get us a mid-second round pick back, but moving back to #4 will get us a first round value, approximately pick 12 (or value thereof) back. BIG, BIG difference!!!
  14. If we get the sense that the Texans want AR and the Colts want Levis, why would we not move back?
  15. I agree it's highly unlikely, but if the Texans or Colts offer us something stupid-good in a compensation package, then anything is possible.
  16. Nobody taking stabs at external FAs? There's no money on this fellas. No FA crushes or guys that makes sense for Reich's new offense and the 3-4 defense?
  17. Sounds about right. Tepper hired Reich to hire a competent staff...now he needs to stop micromanaging. He's the owner and will have input, but that input should not deter the staff from the players they want.
  18. I think it's a smoke screen where we can move back, potentially, if we know another team is in love with AR. Even if we move back to #4 and QBs go 1,2,3,4, we still get a QB.
  19. Eh, Purdy didn't take over until about 3/4 of the way through the season after Jimmy G. did all the heavy lifting. He would get an asterisk from me. Wilson has been such a tool lately, I totally blocked him out, lol! Wilson, Big Ben and Purdy*. Looooong list indeed.
  20. No backpedaling. We have one team to beat and they have a complete roster, we don't. Could it happen? Sure, but HIGHLY unlikely. About as high as Nuke being the FA savior of the offense.
  21. Yup, because a rookie QB is a rookie QB. He's going to make mistakes. Unless the Saints take a face plant, they should win the division. We will probably come in second. It's like you just stated watching the NFL recently or something.
  22. Yup and I thought Tom Brady too, but he took over for an injured Drew Bledsoe in his second year. The only other one I can think off without getting into the weeds is Dan Marino all the way back in the 80's.
  23. Would you be if we'd signed Carr or Rodgers? My feeling is if that would have happened, you would have moved on.
