  1. AR will not make it to the 2nd round in all likelihood, at least not to us in the second. Either a desperate team *cough* Panthers *cough* will WAY overdraft him or a team at the end of the round that has the time to develop him (current QB is solid) will take a swing. Some mocks have the Vikings. Makes sense, Cousins is just above average and isn't getting any younger.
  2. Wilks needed an 'A' performance to keep the job. He did well, but obviously only 12% thought he deserved a top grade. In-game adjustments seemed to be lacking. If things went well, it was a good day. If things went awry from the start, it seems like the staff didn't/couldn't adjust.
  3. You do realize that nearly every QB coming out of college needs serious coaching, yet only a slight few ever really 'get it'. People are so infatuated with elite trait QBs today over QBs less physically gifted, but have a ton more production. Nobody wants an noodle arm QB (obviously) but I'll take a QB with a 70% career completion rate with an 'average' arm over a dude that can throw it 80 yards but can't hit the broad side of a barn.
  4. We get a new head coach We draft some players in April We make an contract extension or two We rework a couple contracts We re-sign a few of our FAs We sign a few outside FAs Did I do this right?
  5. Possibly because at the Combine and Pro Days they don't have a pass rush and DBs. Levis has an arm and is fairly accurate, his problem taht I saw is he can't read defenses well. That doesn't show up in the offseason workouts leading up tot the draft, only on film.
  6. Might as we tattoo game manager on his forehead. That's what he will be in the NFL.
  7. Young- Has the production, savvy and game knowledge. I was bigger than this dude at 13 years old. He will not hold up in the NFL. Stroud- Has production, smokes lesser competition, but turns average in big games (semi-final withstanding) Levis- Has the size, arm, experience, but his production is lacking. Richardson- Has the size, arm strength, and a few highlights on his resume. Complete projection pick
  8. Apologists will not admit they are wrong. Fields is heading into year three with 9 wins in two seasons--so 4.5 wins on average and finished with the worst record in the League. They are dogging the heck out of the Bears organization as the cause. Fields is better than what he has shown, but he's not a franchise savior either. Next year he'll get the Bears between 5-8 wins, still miss the playoffs and they have to go into year four deciding on his fifth year option. I don't think the Bears take another QB this draft, but if one's name is called, I won't be totally shocked either. Like folks say here, keep swinging until you hit a home run. Right now, Fields isn't looking like the home run so the Bears could take another swing. As for us, Levis may still be there, but the most likely is Richardson is the only one left. If that's the case and we pass on him (as we should) the Huddle will completely melt down. A new staff can't wait until year 3 for a QB to maybe come into his own. Richardson will need to sit a year--dude is SOOOOO green, likely two. We don't have that kind of time. People said Trey Lance was under-developed. It was true (along with injuries) and he's not going to get to show what he really has until year 3. Somehow a dude that is more raw than Lance is the right choice? We stock up this year on weapons and take a rookie QB next draft (2024).
  9. No, I don't want to. I'm not a huge fan of Shaq...especially his contract, but as you said, we aren't exactly deep there. He needs to stick around at least one more year. I wouldn't mind trading back at some point in the draft to acquire more picks. We need to take not one, but two LBs.
  10. Yes, two different things, but both stat lines are completely horrible. One really, REALLY sucks and the other just really sucks.
  11. Could develop or he could keep his bad habits. Sam still has his old bad college habits. Who's to say that AR won't do the same? And when has this organization ever developed a QB? Cam was the closest, but he still maintained his bad mechanics from college. Short of a former OC taking the HC job, it will be the same results with developing QBs as in the past---piss poor.
  12. Stroud and Young. Both will be gone by pick 5. Neither are good enough to mortgage a move up though. Put Young into AR's body... I'd make that move. However, Young is way too small and Stroud is not generational.
  13. I mean, Levis may still be on the board. People are smoking something if they think Young or Stroud will be there at #9. And no, they aren't worth the trade haul to move up into the top 3 picks.
  14. None other than Anthony Richardson, against a mediocre Kentucky team. The guy a lot of people are drooling over. FYI, that wasn't his only stinker of a game either, just his worst. This is not to defend Sam, but if people are going to drag one QB for a bad game (and it was) then I think it is silly to idolize a kid who is raw as heck and can completely shat the bed in some games too.
  15. Taylor can be cut, but I think he may be salvageable. CJ's money is fully guaranteed--about$3.4M. YGM saves some chump change, but we are thin at DE.
  16. Guess who this QB is that had a 2.6 QBR this season?
  17. We are thin at LB and the cap hit is substantial, so I think we let Shaq play out his finally year on his contract.
  18. Better than a rookie QB sitting on the bench.
  19. Current options (Sam/Corrall) FA and a mid-round rookie. If we end up drafting Johnston, I wouldn't mind taking a stab at Duggan in the 4th or 5th round.
  20. Pinerio. We save $1M against the cap if we cut Zane. Secondly, Zane is injury prone and will have been shelved for a really long time.
  21. Unique physical specimen to be sure, but is SUPER green. Big, fast and strong arm---that's all the Huddle needs. Production is simply an nuisance that is an inconvenience to their man-crush.
