  1. True, most contracts are 3-4 years. If that were the case, fans would bounce around like kid at a trampoline park.
  2. I've been in management for years now and the one constant question you get in a promotional-type of interview is "if you are considered for this position (a promotion) do you have YOUR replacement named AND trained?"
  3. Postseason receiving stats through the first week:

TMJ is a potential bust. He's simply too much more "off" than "on". A big play every few games isn't enough to sell me he's still up and coming.

Johnston declared before the deadline. We have options now.
  6. Relocating AND re-hiring Rhule. Outside of that, I'm black and blue. through and through.

Addison declared, no word yet on Johnston.
  8. I generally agree with you on TEs whose value just like RBs (recently). However, every so often there's one worth taking in the around the top 10. Top 5, never, I would agree.
  9. Correct, the Lions weren't utilizing him a la Greg Olsen in Chicago. Being traded doesn't necessarily the player is a bust, rather it's not a fit schematically or another team is interested and the package is good enough to part with the player.
  10. Ok, QBs projected to go high...that makes more sense. Anyway, since then, Stroud officially announced as you are well aware.
  11. This is why you take a projected/value top 10 TE in the draft:
  12. Yep, everyone knows the Bucs are on the verge of a rebuild. One extra win this week won't stop that. However, we know how grating on the nerves Cowgirl fans can be. Definitely don't want to see or hear this ^^^^^.

With six hours to go, the top two WRs still have not declared. If this holds, I am back to Mayer as my top guy. I want neither AR nor the #3 WR as the default #1 wideout due to draft non-declarations at #9. I will take a slight trade back to maximize the value for Mayer, but still will nab him at #9 if things hold as is.
  14. I have always hated the Cowgirls, so I have to go with the Bucs. Also, the Bucs weren't in the old NFC West either. A new(er) rival of the three divisional foes, therefore, the one I hate the least.
  15. Yup, he had one foot already out the door and the main grudge I hold against Fox. It's like an employee refusing to do anything productive on their last day of work. Ok, Richardson didn't extend his contract, but at least put your best product on the field! The only good thing about him quitting on the 2010 squad was we were able draft Cam in 2011.
  16. Sure, I get that and know that, but we would never know what would have happened regarding drafting a QB high because Jake turned out to be a hidden gem of a FA. Jake was much more than just a game manager. If that were the case and that's all he was, I could have seen Fox taking a stab on a QB early in the draft. Again, Jake worked out so well (up to the Tommy John surgery) that developing a rookie QB wasn't necessary.
  17. Eh, I'm not sure he didn't believe in them as much as the time it takes to develop them. If the scenario was right where he could have got one early on in 2002 or 2003, it may have worked. Once he struck gold with Delhomme, drafting a franchise QB was all but an afterthought.
  18. The laughable and honestly sad part is when this list comes around every year (sorry OP, it's not a unique thread) is until Rhule, Siefert was unanimously at the bottom. At least ol' Geroge got us a .500 season. For his sake, at least he's never going to be seen as the Panther worst HC of all time anymore.
  19. 1) Fox 2) Rivera 3) Capers Fox never got to draft a franchise QB (Clausen in the lame duck year doesn't count). He was the most consistent winner though. The only reason I slightly hesitated with him is how he quit on this organization. Rivera had the best nucleus of of young talented players and still couldn't get us over the top or even make us consistent winners. He SHOULD be #1, but couldn't maximize the most talented rosters we've ever had. Capers was able to cobble together a bunch of aging cast-offs and make them winners in a short time, but wasn't able to see that he needed to flip the roster to a younger one in time to save his job.
  20. The guy can chase a Natty and get paid via NIL and STILL get the $10M-$30M in the 2024 draft. That's the dynamic NIL has brought about. Not to mention the sponsorships like cars, clothing etc... It really brings the BMOC meaning to full fruition. I"m sure Stroud is not thinking somehow he's dropping to a 2nd rounder--or lower, just because he stays in school. He probably will declare today, but I wouldn't be shocked one bit if he stayed. Personally, I hope he does. I want no part of this QB class--more precisely, what will be available to us when we pick. Stroud staying means Levis will be gone and *hopefully* AR too by pick #9.
  21. Literally all but one other guy of the draft eligible OSU players in the top 250 prospects have declared. Did you mean just the top guy?
