  1. If we retain Tabor as STC, that's actually a under the radar coordinator that tends to get overlooked...and he's a good one! Reich should sit down with him and just make sure they click on a personal level because we all know he can coach STs extremely well. Then draw up the contract and check off that box for a coordinator. Same with Campen, his influence on our OL can't be denied. Another sit down and chat to make sure everything is kosher, agree to terms and get that contract signed too.
  2. You mean Ian Thomas, TMJ and Foreman/Hubbard needs upgrading? Hmmmm, who would have thought that? I was certain that we only a QB away on offense after being brainwashed by the Huddle. Using my own logic, it was clear that EVERY skill position needed upgrading on offense--even Moore is limited, but QB thread after QB thread after QB thread convinced me that a good QB would solve everything. Bill Polian must be some sort of hack.
  3. The QB from Shepard had an awesome season too (actually past two seasons), but such a small school versus crap competition.
  4. In the pecking order of needs, honestly the bottom two.
  5. One coach is out of the running, Fangio. It's not like they tore up their entire interview list because one candidate took another gig. Reich likely has either strong or loose connections with all these guys. It's not like they need their arm twisted to take this job. Fangio was probably the hottest DC prospect available...he knew that and drove up his asking price which netted him the top paid DC in the League and South Beach. Smart man. Not every other candidate will be, or frankly can be as selective. DC will happen this week and I wouldn't be shocked if OC is named shortly after.
  6. The East West Shine game is this week too. The game will be played Thursday at 8:30pm East roster: https://shrinebowl.com/east-roster/ West roster: https://shrinebowl.com/west-roster/
  7. Reich himself said he wants the coordinators in place as quickly as possible and then take the time to round out the rest of the staff.
  8. I agree they have some time with the OC as Reich is an offensive guy, but I really want the DC hired this week. Seriously doubt they are digging deeper than the guys already interviewed, it's just a matter of agreeing to terms.
  9. I really would like a DC in place by Tuesday so he could fly down and get eyeballs on these guys. I realize we have scouts, but the DC needs to see his own prospects. I trust Reich on the offensive side of the ball, so I'm not overly concerned if we don't have an OC in place this week.
  10. I don't think we are willing to wait that long. Case in point, the Senior Bowl is this week.
  11. He'll take an OC job if he can't land one the remaining HC jobs. Did he interview anywhere else besides here? Apparently he was on the short list with the Panthers; Tepper could get both of his candidates.
  12. Practices start Tuesday and the game will be played Saturday at 1:30pm. A draft site I use predicts roughly 90% of these players will be drafted, mostly day 3, but guys to keep an eye on with those two 4ths and 5th rounder (could trade back for more picks). National roster: https://www.seniorbowl.com/players/national-team/ American roster: https://www.seniorbowl.com/players/american-team/ The defenses are about equal on the guys I want to see. The National roster's offense is lacking, just Chase Brown really. The American's roster on offense is loaded. I expect them to put up some points.
  13. Guess I'm pulling for the Bengals so we can move up one draft slot with those 49ers picks in the CMC trade. Even with the loss today, the 49ers will have a better record than Cincy if they were to lose as well, but not better than the Chiefs with a loss.
  14. Will Reich be calling plays and have an OC in title only? I could see where taking an OC job where the HC is the actual play caller would be less than appealing.
  15. Bradley's had some petty good defenses when given the parts to be successful. Bradley and Fitterer have a history in Seattle together and may share the same vision for the defensive side of the ball.
  16. Any notable and available understudies in Fangio's tree?
  17. Yeah, but this scenery wouldn't be a bad view either. You know how older folks love their warm weather too.
  18. Chinn would be best as a Sam LB. He can cover, but it's not his best attribute. TEs he should be able to match up with in coverage. Otherwise, keep him down in the box.
  19. Rumors are that just about everyone in the front office in Indy wants anyone BUT Jeff Saturday, however, Irsay is standing by his man. The hope is if the search committee puts enough candidates in front of Irsay, maybe...just maybe, one of them will knock his socks off. Saturday must be one heck of a drinking companion.
  20. I can't imagine the plays getting called in at a normal volume.
  21. Already made this pun earlier in another thread, but what the heck. Queen City/ Frank Reich--> Queensryche
