  1. Kinda early, but I had a fear that not having a bruiser back could bite us. None of our RBs are pile pushers.
  2. In-game adjustment #1, give Blackshear the rock over Chuba.
  3. That's where Burns is a liability, he had the RB dead to rights and with a little shake gained several yards with Burns dragging form behind.
  4. NEVER run Chuba between the tackles, ESPECIALLY on short yardage. Dude is too indecisive and lacks vision.
  5. I think both teams try to establish the ground game. I'm not to comfortable in our abilities to stop the run. The QBs will be asked to manage the game. I doubt either QB goes for much more than 200 yards, if either even reach it.
  6. Hopefully our WRs, with their various ailments, are all ready to go.
  7. I can't believe we are not adding a TE to the PS. Hurst has a reputation of being dinged up throughout any given season and our depth sucks. Considering this SHOULD be Ian Thomas' last season, it couldn't hurt to develop a young guy. Heck, they keep trying to make Sullivan into something and now he's on IR, so let's try another dude.
  8. If we hold ATL to under 100 yards rushing, we win. If the birds cross that threshold, and before the 4th quarter? It is gonna be ugly.
  9. The 53rd player, particularly the 3rd string QB, isn't impacting the team. If we get down to the 3rd string QB, our season is toast anyway.
  10. If it were someone specific, it probably would have been filled already. They are probably weighing all their options, namely Pro scouts along with Fitts/Morgan. It very well could be that they are keeping it open for injury purposes in case someone gets hurt and is likely to miss multiple games, they can immediately sign a player without having to make a corresponding move. More than likely could just be keeping it open for Corbett's return. He can return in week 5.
  11. Yup. It wouldn't be a "waste" of a roster spot to develop a young backup. Dalton is not a long term solution as the #2. Heck, it was what we were attempting to do with Corral, but it just didn't work out.
  12. We should sign Zappe and leave Bill stuck with Corral as his backup. Petty? Sure, but it's only the 53rd spot.
  13. Did Nebraska find a new TE? I just read somewhere of them was unavailable.
  14. If we need another HB/FB type, our old buddy Alex Armah is out there. However, I like the Ben Mason kid that's on the Ravens PS. This dude can actually tote the rock too. A short yardage runner and heck of a blocker.
  15. Kuntz...100%! McBride was another of my draft crushes. Duggan looked bad against really good competition.
  16. Some NT prospects: https://www.nfl.com/players/danny-shelton/ https://www.nfl.com/players/matt-gotel/ https://www.nfl.com/players/quinton-bohanna/ https://www.nfl.com/players/jerrod-clark/ https://www.nfl.com/players/tyler-lancaster/ https://www.nfl.com/players/pj-mustipher/ https://www.nfl.com/players/domenique-davis/ Either Clark and Mustipher I wanted to use a day 3 pick on, but we traded them away.
  17. Any name that would be worth signing to that one open roster spot? 32 team practice squads
  18. I'd like to see another WR, TE and QB added to the PS.
  19. Darin Gantt is a little more reliable than David Newton, lol!
  20. Panthers official site. https://www.panthers.com/news/panthers-add-two-more-to-practice-squad
  21. They both were added at the end of the day per the official site. Sitting at 13 at PS players now.
  22. Must of done this at a the end of the business day. Both Derek Wright and Wooten were added to the practice squad. https://www.panthers.com/news/panthers-add-two-more-to-practice-squad Yup, story posted at 5:35pm.
  23. We are stuck with Corbett for two seasons. His contract is ridiculous. Starting or backup, he ain't going anywhere.
