2023 Charlotte FC Game Thread
jtgPanther replied to MillionDollarCam's topic in Charlotte Football Club
Very disappointing loss, but the mistakes that were made in all three goals are things that can be corrected through coaching. The back line needs to communicate better, but it's not shocking that mistakes happen with multiple new players back there; one that's only been with the team for about two weeks The Swiderski handball is inexcusable, he is one of the leaders on this team and has played penalty of soccer. He knows he has to get is hands down inside the box. But, man that Copetti goal was beautiful! I saw a lot of good on the build up play, just missed on a few of the final passes, but I can see what they are trying to do with the three up front. Hopefully, with more time they can get the chemistry right. It's a long season, clean up the few mental errors and build on the attack! -
Leaked Charlotte FC 2023 Away Kit
jtgPanther replied to travisura's topic in Charlotte Football Club
This actually turned out better than I thought. I think the blue badge and sponsor logo looks better than the pink from the mock up. The crown pattern is a nice detail. I liked last year's away kit too, but more because of the color way. The design was pretty basic. As a Spurs fan I can't bring myself to buy the home kit, but will definitely be purchasing this one! -

I like the purple, but don't understand the pink. I mean purple and teal have been a color way associated with Charlotte for 30 years -
Lol pipe down Trevor Lawrence, sorry I haven't posted as much as you. Wilks is still a shitty option for head coach even if it's only interim status.
-
No, we we finished the season ranked 11th in total defense(which isn't bad), but that was Sean McDermott's defensive and you know that. Now please, explain his time with AZ, Cleveland and Missouri?
-
Yes, I'm also glad Rhule is no longer our coach, but that doesn't mean we are going to be any better this season. You still haven't explained why you think Wilks is the answer for this team
-
Then say it again. You came in this thread and started defending Wilks, so let me know why you think he can fix this team. We aren't better than we were yesterday and things won't get better until after we have a new staff with a full over season
-
He's also been a crappy defensive coordinator three times. And let's not act like we aren't a crappy team and organization right now, so why do you think the results will be any different?
-
No way in hell this happens
-
Explain how? What has he done that makes him a good fit for any NFL team? What has he done to warrant to even be considered for a NFL head coach job? Did he not fail at his last three coaching job?
-
As a head coach he was 3-13. Now some will say that the Cardinals were terrible and the organization was a mess. With the current state of this franchise, how is that any different? As a defensive coordinator he was terrible, and blitzed just about every down. To the point that other teams knew exactly what we were going to do and would just run right at the blitz. His Missouri team was ranked 124 out of 130 in rush defense and gave up almost 300 yards to Southeast Missouri State. He failed as a defensive coordinator here, Cleveland and Missouri. I think he is a fine position coach, but when it comes to putting together a game plan and making adjustments during the game he doesn't have it.
-
Wilks is trash, he was an awful defensive coordinator for us and at Missouri and was just as bad if not worse than Rhule as a head coach. Rhule should have been let go in the off-season. This will only set us back further.

I see improvement which is great, but you can't give up that goal in stoppage time. I love that a Carolina kid scored the first goal and Bender looks like a player we can build around. I hope we keep our heads high and build off this. -

What should we expect for Marshall Sunday? Do you think he will see a lot of targets or will he be 4th in the pecking order?
-
Sewell would be great, but what if we trade back and pick up Horn(cb) and maybe get leatherwood(ol)

Wow...Panther’s social pretty honest about Teddy.

You guys are joking right? Anderson had 1,000 yards and finished the year ranked in the top 15 in receiving. One of the biggest reason for Samuel's success at the end of the year is because teams had to account for anderson and moore.
