And it is an odd year season.
-
No need to keep 3 QBs. Dalton is a vet and if he somehow got injured too, and we needed a third QB, it doesn't matter who it is because the season is over.
-
Clowney is a more realistic option. Dude is 30, never really lived up to the hype, past his prime, but still very much serviceable, so he could be somewhat cheap. Great against the run, seems to do better in a 3-4 defense, but can put his hand in the ground if needed. Plus, he's from Rock Hill, so playing close to home could be ideal if he's thinking retirement in the next few years.
-
Opposing defenses are going to make it their mission to light him up.

You don't know that, dude. -
All we need now is a QB and depth, and we're set.

Panthers showing interest in RB Jamaal Williams

When was the offer? I know we supposedly made an offer a few days ago, but Sheena Quick is implying we just made one. I could be reading her tweet wrong. -

I really hope we don't get rid of Foreman. The guy wants to be here and he's been solid. -
Too bad we don't have any late round picks. Would rather just draft a kicker.
-
I wonder if they intentionally put these two together because of their last names. Sounding like a brand at Home Depot.
-
Kind of a shitty thing to say. Are we not allowed to disagree with this trade?

DJ Moore traded as part of trade to Bears!

All that real-estate for a QB whose success in the NFL will be a tossup. Stupid, stupid decision. -
REPORT: Panthers to aggressive pursue trade up to get a QB
Xtreme replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
I remembered when I got shitted on when I said it was stupid to try and make a playoff push. We needed to tank, but NOOO, we just had to win some shitty games against other shitty teams. How did that work out for us? -
AR isn't ready for the NFL, yet.
-
Do these numbers really mean anything for a QB?
-
Not really, but they do have some similarities. But seriously, good discussion. Take care!
-
And during those 9-years, he had three different head coaches. So, yes, bad coaching. Just like Stafford.
-
Bad coaching. Very similar to how Mayfield went on to actually play decent after being picked up by the Rams. 35 million is a bit high, but I would rather drop 35 million on Carr than drop multiple 1st round picks to get a QB that was surrounded by insane talent. And if he ends up being a bust, that will set us back for YEARS.
-
I wasn't comparing Manning to Stafford. You asked for another name, I gave you another name. Agree to disagree.
-
Nothing says being mediocre than being in the top 5 for passing yards and completion % after the 2021 season. You right.
-
Peyton Manning. Stafford passed for nearly 5000 yards that season. Surrounded by talent or not, that's impressive. But couldn't you make the same argument regarding Stroud and Young? Both were on loaded rosters filled with 4* & 5* recruits. How isn't that the same?
-
That's literally Stanford's story before he went on to win the SB. Sometimes, these QBs just play for bad coaches.
