As a Panthers fan, I would love to see him come back. But, he is not the same Superman. It would be very risky. He would have to re orient to the current Panthers offense. Darnold seems to be the best chance, right now.

I am an Ole Miss graduate but, I am a fan of MSU and Ole Miss. Mike Leach out coached Lane Kiffin on Thanksgiving night. Both schools had powerful coaches. you could tell, MSU was a powerful team this year. Rumors started to circulate that ML was leaving State for medical reasons. Turns out ML was having respiratory issues. ML reported the medical issues subsided and 2023 promised to be another good year for MSU. The point is, ML was a strong coach who will be missed dearly. Prayers for ML family and MSU. Hail State!

I think it means the organization is different. There are several ways this can happen. The player might be trying harder because he was a failure at the other organization. the new manager, coaches will be different. Plays will be different. They might recognize the players “Strengths and Weaknesses “ better. regarding Mayfield, I think his stress level changed. He may have been more worried about losing his job, than just playing to the best of his ability. He started slow with the Rams. However, he had little to lose, a lot to gain. I think he played to the best of his ability, rather than to not lose his job. laziness is the worst enemy to humans.

One symptom of a bad coach, is a coach who burns his bridges. If he happens to want another NFL job sometime in the future, all they need to do is look back and see this statement. I have a feeling Matt Rhule and Matt Corral, probably will get along just fine. i’m sure the ex coach probably said this, too, erk the panther fan base. However, all it did was reinforce the decision to fire this coach in the first place. overall, this is information that an ex employee should always, keep to themselves. A coach is a high level employee.
