  1. I see a lot of potential here. I feel good. Bryce Young can become the face of the Panthers. The next Drew Brees, Tom Brady, etc.
  2. I am an Ole Miss grad. I would love to see Corral get a fair shot. My complaint is, I have seen a lot of talented Ole Miss quarterbacks fail in the NFL. The exception being Eli Manning. the reason they fail is due to Mental issues. Corral may not be mentally ready. One of the tests is how you play in adversity. Corral had a chance to play during preseason, last year. Sometimes you have to prove yourself, despite playing for coaches, such as Rhules. I do think Corral has talent and a lot of potential. I am anxious to see how he plays, this preseason. Meanwhile I still wonder where Chad Kelly is. Last I heard, he was in the house of somebody he doesn’t know, watching television.

    Hi

How many shopping days are there before opening day?
  4. I learned the power of, “Mute”, when I had to deal with Howard Cosell.
  5. As a Saints fan I was always scared of playing Can Newton, and the Panthers back in the day. I like the Atlanta Falcons as a team, but I did not like falcon fans. Tampa Bay has a respectable team and respectable fans however, they have two Lombardi Trophies. Before Sean Payton Left, the Saints seemed to have the Atlanta Falcons number. I think that we will not know the answer to this question, until this season gets started. So far I think the Saints and the Panthers have done the best recruiting this year so I predict that the Saints will be the rival team. That could change if the Falcons can prove that they can win some football games. (Something that they have not been able to do since the Superbowl loss to Tom Brady.)
  6. I will admit, I am excited about this Upcoming season. I think Young will be elite.
  7. Applause . Could not have said this better. This whole concept of throwing games,,, I can’t say. It gets into political fights. A question, however, does anybody remember talk of towing games to get a better draft choice 10 years ago? 20 years ago? It really looks to me that, throwing games to get a better draft choice is a recent strategy. yes, I understand the temptation as to why you want that better quarterback. But you don’t know how that quarterback will actually do in the NFL. what, if losing out on that shiny new quarterback ends up becoming a blessing. I remember when my daughter went to the Casino and spent a dollar, into the slot machine. She had just turned 21 and it was the first time she ever played a slot machine. She won $2000. I remember thinking my God she’s going to think that she will win every time she puts money in the slots. My fear is, too many tankers think that tanking is %100 successful.
  8. I hope you are right. Whether or not any team decides to tank, they will never eliminate all risks. Tanking is never %100 a correct answer. It is also considered dishonest. (There are penalties if a team is caught tanking.). However, I seriously don’t think the NFL will ever enforce that rule. I am not saying we should never Tank. I do think it is an option. I just think it is an only an option. It is never a sure thing. if young delivers, then I will be very happy
  9. I don’t know about obsession. I see a lot of love of the team. Last couple of years, I see frustration and disappointment. I see potential for this year…
  10. I have mixed feelings about International games. That being said, I agree Germany has more appeal.
  11. This is one of the wide receivers that made Matt corral look really good at Ole Miss!
  12. I agree. It will be difficult to explain why the talking heads ignored the number one pick so that they could discuss Aaron Rodgers to the Jets. Me personally, I don’t trust any media anymore and that includes sports media media today has narratives they want to discuss. my biggest concern is that the same media keeps discussing the possibility that the Panthers will give away the number one pick. I would be very shocked if this happens. But frankly, I don’t see this happening. I personally think the Panthers will have the number one pick and we will turn the team around after we turn the Panthers around and make the Panthers a championship team, the media will be hard-pressed to try to ignore this and continue talking about teams that they like.
  13. As an Ole Miss graduate, I would love this to be true. As a Panthers fan, I will wait and see how he performs in the Preseason. my only knock against Corral is, “is he mentally ready and fit”.
  14. This brings up a good point, a lot depends upon the personality of the QB. Some may have to take a year to learn the system. However, the same thing could be said about a free agent, like Andy Dalton.
  15. To be honest, I don’t have a lot of faith in Andy Dalton.
  16. This is why I asked the question, in the past, I have seen teams draft a talented young quarterback, then sit him for developmental purposes. (I guess they don’t want to throw him into deep water and hope he learns to swim.) But, in today’s NFL, winning immediately is what is expected.
  17. Hello all. I have seen a lot of discussion regarding our new potential draft pick for a rookie quarterback. My question is who should start at quarterback for 2023? Most teams start a veteran quarterback, and they take the rookie quarterback under their wing, to train, ETC. should we play the new rookie quarterback this season? Or do we play a veteran quarterback?
  18. JW is accurate. My complaint is that he seems to panic, in the pocket. That’s why he has thrown all those interceptions, while at Tampa Bay. I wish him the best but, I wouldn’t recommend hlm.
  19. I think it’s still to early to tell. Corral could very well be a bust. However, he is definitely accurate and has yet to play for a real coach. Saints have Carr, he is a crap shoot. Atlanta may not have Jackson. I know nothing about Kyle Trask for TB. (TB is nothing without Tom Brady). I have a feeling the NFC south will be competitive again.
  20. New Uniforms are nice but, don’t forget the over all goal should be winning the Super Bowl.
  21. My thought is to trade up for the #1 draft choice, assuming the Bears are gullible. ( I do not recommend a Mike Ditka style, trade away the future. ). Leave that for the Saints. my 2nd choice is to bring in Carr if available. (There are several teams trying to bring in Carr.) 3rd Choice is to go with the draft, Jackson has too much baggage. Jamis Winston would be ok,, only if he came with tranquilizers to keep him from panicking and throwing to the other team.
  22. I almost forgot, he was initially playing by the Rhules. I would like to see him play, for a real coach!!!
  23. There is no question in my mind, Corral is a very accurate QB. Keep in mind that he has not been thoroughly tested. A few snaps of the football during the preseason are not really enough to test a quarterback. as a graduate of Ole Miss, I have watched many quarterbacks come and go from Ole Miss. my concern is this, is he mentally ready to play in the NFL? for example, remember, Chad Kelly. During Chads college career, he went on to play against Alabama and beat them two separate years. However, he was shown to have mental problems. my point is, “Don’t give up on Corral yet.” Watch his NFL mentality closely. If he passes the mental hurdle, I really do think he can be special. meanwile Chad is probably in a stranger’s house watching the TV
  24. Not sure if this is Panther’s related or NFL.Carr released by the Raiders
