  1. I agree. I tried to address that in my last statement. - (That is not to say, you should attend every game.). There are times a message is sent to management, “changes must be made”. I guess each fan must assess that for themselves.
  2. I have not said much as of late. Like everyone else, I am to say the least, disappointed in the season, I won’t say the most. My conscience won’t let me say the most. So the question is, what is left to play for? Good question, for me, it is to be a pain in the side for other teams and get Bryce Young plenty of experience. If I am not mistaken, we have the opportunity to knock the Saints, out of any playoff possibility, this weekend. We also have the opportunity to send the Falcons a message. “Panthers will rule next Year.” is this a playoff? No but it is good medicine. To me, a true fan sticks with his favorite team through good and bad times. (That is not to say, you should attend every game.). There are times a message is sent to management, “changes must be made”. keep the faith.
  3. I am not qualified to make call. I just know whoever it is must not be fired, after only one year. We do not want that reputation. remember John Meacham had no wining seasons as a team owner. Firing the coach every year will not win a championship.
  4. I think it all depends upon how you tell Pepper, his idea is stupid. Think about it this way. you are in your office, your head coach comes in to your office points a finger at you and screams. You will fire, Jason orange, your water boy. Compare this with, your head coach comes into your office and tells you he would recommend firing Jason, orange, the Waterboy, because bla bla bla. which person would you be willing to deal with? Which person would you want to deal with? Which person are you most likely to agree with without telling them to get the hell out of your office? people with honor do not try to intimidate others to get their way.
  5. All due respect, no! And I don’t think that’s what we want. Harbaugh is a theory X kind of coach. I think a theory Y coach would be much better here. In other words, do you want a coach that bullies his players into play or do you want a coach who respects his team? A theory X coach might be successful for a year or two. However, players become resentful and team performance goes to $&@$/.
  6. Someone texted “Tepper does not care“. If this is true, then this is a major problem. this tells me that he is treating the team like a hobby instead to a family business. I hope that I am wrong. This would be similar to how Jon Meacham treated the Saints before Tom Benson, took over. The Wiseman says I know what I know. I know what I know is right however, let me listen to your concern, but the final decision is mine. The fool says I know what I know. I know what I know is right end of discussion I do not have time to listen to you. Hopefully Tepper is a wise man and listens to other NFL knowledgeable people.
  7. Being a Saints fan back in 1986. (1987 was first ever playoff appearance,) I think this season is experiencing growing pains. Keep the Faith!
  8. I have attempted to watch games on NFL+. During each game I received a message that read, “ in order to continue watching the rest of this broadcast, you must enroll in the NFL plus for a per month charge.” To me this is dirty it makes me mad. It makes me not want to enroll in NFL plus because of dirty tactics. I think NFL plus executives must think that once you get engrossed in the game you’ll want to enroll just to finish watching the game. It’s like a drug deal give victims free drugs until they’re addicted and then start charging them. This is the best analogy that I can think of that NFL plus it’s using. What NFL+ should have done is either notify immediately, there is a charge for the service or notify you immediately that the first 30 minutes are free. Instead, they allow you to watch for 30 minutes and then cut off the game until payment is made. my question is, how many people think this is okay?
  9. Based upon his last game against the Saints, NO! However, his QB maybe more to blame. His QB kept missing the receiver.
  10. I wanted a winning team. I am sure I am not alone. I think people are mis judging college recruits. They look at that shiny new college QB and think, “We must tank and get that shiny QB.” However, I don’t think they understand the difference between the NCAA and the NFL. I was a little bit concerned about Bryce Young because he played for a powerful Alabama team. How much did Bryce contribute to making Alabama, a powerful team. Alabama was a powerhouse before BY and may still be a powerhouse after BY. the decision has been made and BY is the QB. I wish I saw more posts asking, how can we make this work. However, after just two games, I saw posts which read, “Let’s fire this person, lets loose the rest of the games so we can draft the next star College QB.” How can you win if you are constantly tearing your favorite team apart? My pet peeve is, there are tow many people who want to tank an get a perfect draft pick. 1st Tanking is cheating and dishonest. 2nd Any draft pick is not a sure bet. However, if I was betting, who is the best QB, from that draft class, I would have chosen Bryce Young. let’s keep the faith. PS. Does anyone think we should fire the Water person?
  11. I saw this on a different forum. I have noticed that the QB has a huge impact on a team. both coaches have become dumpster fire, after losing their high caliber QB. So, where did Brady and Brees come from?
  12. I am not saying the Panthers should adopt this system. That being said, it probably should be considered an option. Too many people let emotions control their judgement.
  13. M 45. N 7. Rulzie is kickin tail. Unfortunately, it is his own.
  14. I am not sure that duped is the correct word. I don’t think any team would put together a losing team with malice. BTW it is only two games into the season. Let’s see what happens with Andy Dalton at quarterback. I do think we need to be very cautious regarding the head coach. I am one of the older people who has been watching football for many years. I watch the Saints play from 1969 to present. I am using them as an example here: The Saints were losers until approximately 1987. One of the biggest reasons was because of the owner, whose name was John Meacham John wanted to win the Super Bowl every year. In other words, he wanted to win and win now, which is physically impossible. The point is, it’s going to take more than two or three years to develop a winning team. John kept firing the coach, approximately one or two years. Later, a coach name Hank Stram told Meacham that, if Meacham would give him four or five years, he could develop a winning team. BTW, those too young to remember, Hank Stram had the winning Kansas City Chiefs team in the Super Bowl three. Hank was a well-known, high caliber coach at the time. Hank knew of Mitchum’s tendency to fire a coach after two years. He told Meacham that he would only take on the job of head coach, if Meacham agreed to give him 4 to 5 years. Meacham fired him after two years. My overall point is that if you start firing coaches after only two years, no coach worth their weight in gold is going to want to coach your team. You will have difficulty finding good caliber coaches and possibly players.
  15. Before I give my opinion on this, I would like to ask everybody one question. Does anyone think that taking it is an honorable way to go? regardless of the advantages or disadvantages, I’d like to know how many people think that thanking is honorable.
  16. We play the Seahawks next week. A win will cure an awful lot of ills here. I still believe that starting a rookie QB, the 1st season, will have many challenges. All due respect, it looks to me that expectations are all wrong. It is only the second game of the season with a rookie quarterback. I think a good quarterback needs to have talent and experience. There is no way a quarterback will have experience in only his second game as an NFL starter. Think of it this way, a soldier can prepare by running obstacle courses, target, practice, etc. but when you put the soldier out in the battle, when people are shooting at him, it is a totally different situation. All of the training and preparation in the world does not include the real war. Bryce Young needs more than two games to gain experience. Keep the faith!!!!!!
  17. Very true. However, sometimes alcohol can reveal the true character of a person.
  18. I was listening to Saints radio and Deuce McAllister. It is the only way to listen to the Panthers in my area. Deuce claimed “the Panthers were getting cute”. He claimed that the change in the quarterback caused the false start which cost the Panthers 5 yards. An offense gets used to one quarterback, and then when they stick, a new quarterback in, the offensive line is not used to the new quarterback. I think the Panthers were going to pick up the first down. They may have put Andy Dalton in to give him credit for getting the 1st down, against his former team. (They had 4th and inches. (Practically a give me first down.) However, it backfired. In my opinion, this was the turning point in the game.
  19. All due respect. I think the Panthers are being underestimated. these conference games always have a lot of emotion. Emotion sometimes has the effect to win ball games. I have watched the Panthers take down the Saints, many times. Monday night football. There will be plenty to watch and enjoy.
  20. Hello All. It is time to prepare for the next game. In my opinion, this game will be informative. I think the key to beating the Saints is, “Pressure the QB”. We saw this happening with the game against the Titans. The Saints only managed to score one TD. here is the good news: the Panthers are playing at home. The Panthers always seem to have the Saints number (Football is a mental game and the Panthers are more determined to win than the Saints are.) the Panthers must protect Bryce Young. Pressure is a strong factor for the Saints. Probably need to have an arsenal of screen plays. win or loose, we should have a better knowledge of the strength of each team in our division. thoughts?
  21. Think about it this way, who has the best chance to take you to the playoffs? Bryce Young - loaded with potential. Andy Dalton - Threw 2 pick sixes last year. Matt Corral - Oh! never mind.
  22. I mentioned earlier that most NFL teams do not play rookie QBs immediately. They learn behind a veteran. Look at Jordon Love at Green Bay. however, this decision should have been made before the preseason games. I am not saying that starting Young was not the proper decision. I am saying that benching Young after the first game of the season is a mistake. We humans are emotional creatures. (Approximately %90 emotion %10 logic). It is very important to control emotions when making any decisions. This consideration sounds like panic. it is only the first game of the season. Give Young 2 or 3 more games. Then make a more realistic assessment. You still have time to recover.
  23. Who is this guy? Is he joking or is he a non-Panthers fan invading the board?? he sounds like a typical smug Falcons fan. Very classless.
