Hi All. Now that we are in the off season, I thought it would be okay to post some interesting questions. It’s no secret that David Tepper has seriously hurt his reputation. (both as a professional and person.) Teppers hurting our ability to get a quality coach and good players. My question is: is there another NFL team that has an owner, worse than Tepper?
-
Ah, Who is he? I have not heard of him.
-
Yep,, good catch. It sounds to me that Cam is not considering a return. He is just speculating. Cam is probably concerned about the direction, Tepper is taking the team. Tepper needs to repair his reputation. I just hope he is wise enough to realize this. Tepper’s reputation is hurting the Panthers ability to get a good coach. (All the good coaches are being hired by other teams.). Tepper’s reputation is hurting the Panthers ability to get good players. (All the good Players are being hired by other teams.). I am curious to know what Cam Newton thinks about Mechan. Ah ,, Tepper.

Tepper The Worst Owner in NFL history, statistically
Green-Ghost replied to ncfan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Do not forget about John Beacham. He was the owner of the New Orleans Saints from 1969 to 1986 always had a season except for one season where they tied. -
There is no question in my mind that John Meacham is a loose cannon. Er,, ah ,, Dave Tepper. The difference between John Meacham and Jerry Jones., excuse me. The difference between David Tepper and Jerry Jones is that Jerry Jones is not foolish in his decision making. ( in a fool’s world, the fool always thinks he is not the problem. ) The problem we have now is, reputation! I have lost count, but there are several coach openings that are looking for a good quality coach. I saw an article today where Jim Harbaugh is interviewing for the Atlanta position. if the Panthers did not have a bad owner reputation, I could easily see Jim Harbaugh interviewing for the Panthers job. I think that Tepper needs to rebuild his reputation. He especially needs to rebuild his public image. He does not need to be filmed throwing water on a fan. I don’t care what kind of ah01e the fan was. The person who retaliates is always the person who gets noticed. I am seeing news article after news article on ESPN, etc. they talk all the time about which open coaching positions are the best. The best candidates are always going to go to the most attractive coaching positions.

If You Could Choose ANY Head Coach... Who?
Green-Ghost replied to Jay Roosevelt's topic in Carolina Panthers
I am assuming you mean John. -
Who is falling for the Peacock Wildcard bullshitt
Green-Ghost replied to Jmac's topic in Carolina Panthers
I am sure executive at NBC had this idea. They are trying to see if they can increase Peacock membership by taking a wildcard game off the regular NBC market. -
Longer view of the tossing episode
Green-Ghost replied to raleigh-panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
It is a security person. They are calling to have the fan removed. It is to protect Tepper from embarrassment. -
David Tepper appears to throw a drink at a jaguars fan
Green-Ghost replied to philw5289's topic in Carolina Panthers
How will that fix the problem? -
I don’t know about huge stretch. I do agree it would be a stretch. it will be interesting to see how Bryce Young performs now that the pressure to perform is off.

Merry Christmas everybody. Don’t forget to keep the holiday spirit and purchase a set of pumpkin spice brake pads.

Where does ESPN get their attendance information?
Green-Ghost replied to hepcat's topic in Carolina Panthers
I don’t know. Good question. I hope it’s not from National Enquirer. -
It is still around however, they have it set up to where you have to become a member of the forum to be able to view anything. I do not know if that means they want payment per month or what but, it is clear they want to control the people, who can view their forum.

This win signifies where we are as a franchise
Green-Ghost replied to lightsout's topic in Carolina Panthers
We beat the Falcons!!!! hahahahahahahaha “Snort”.. oops sorry for the snort. A Win is a Win. I am honestly not worried about ugly wins at this point. I’m sure the winds will just get cleaner as we go. The wind will start coming easier too. I am also happy to have the opportunity to laugh at the Talking Heads in the media, who predicted us to lose. -
Teddy returns to the Saints. this was Teddy Bridgewater’s first year as a panther, after serving with the Saints. Thank you. Teddy ended up running for his life. And he ran to the Saints sideline Outabounds. He ended up sitting on the bench with the saints quarterbacks. Drew Brees casually handed him the computer and so he was still a teammate.

If there was a re draft when would Young be taken?
Green-Ghost replied to Shotgun's topic in Carolina Panthers
Hmmmm,, this might be an “apples and oranges” kind of question. This question could easily be reworded as, “if I knew then what I know now.” The problem is there is no way to know back then. I do have a question however, I would like to know what factors went into the decision to draft young? What criteria did they use?in other words, why did they make the decision to draft young in the first place, other than some of the other quarterback talent. did they take the time and effort to compare young with the other quarterback candidates or did they draft young because he was a product of Alabama. -
Is the game on Sunday going to be postponed?
Green-Ghost replied to Lame Duck's topic in Carolina Panthers
Interesting question, may be a good question. I personally do not know of an NFL game that was called before it even started. I have seen games played through snow storms, rain storms, etc. however, I have seen games postponed or rescheduled due to hurricanes. I have seen games interrupted by lightning. Atlanta Falcons play their games in a dome. I think such a game maybe an advantage for the Panthers . I am sure many Falcon players don’t know how to swim. -
Saints Versus Panthers, Tankers Version
Green-Ghost replied to Green-Ghost's topic in Carolina Panthers
I apologize for the bad font. I tried to edit it out but, it looks like you cannot change your own message once it has been posted. as for the loony posts,, it is easy to be looney than the subject is looney. on a serious note, what happens when two or more NFL teams decide to loose to get a better 1st round draft choice? -
Saints Versus Panthers, Tankers Version
Green-Ghost replied to Green-Ghost's topic in Carolina Panthers
Lol this is precisely my point. -
I posted this already in a tread. I just wanted to share with everyone. I apologize in advance if it is not good. This is what a typical game may sound like if both sides attempt to Tank…. I thought we could use a good laugh to a disappointing season. Announcer one - “we have kick off.” The ball goes into the end zone and will come out at the 20 yard line. Announcer number two - “it looks like the Saints are bringing in a new quarterback”. #2 - #1 “I don’t recognize the quarterback do you, Jim?” #1-“I haven’t seen this person before Tom.” #2-“it looks like their public relations man in a saints uniform.” #1-“ first down and 10 yards to go from the 20. #2-“ the quarterback is Marion orange, he is the public relations guy for the Saints”. #1-“ Marion, Takes the snap and he’s running…. In the wrong direction.” #2-“ well… he has plenty of room to run and I don’t think he has to worry about any Tackle”. #1-“ Marion has made it to his own endzone. All the Panthers need to do is tackle him and they will have a two point safety.” #2-“ that is correct Tom, however… it looks like the Panthers are trying to drag Miriam out of the end zone into the field of play.” #1-“ the officials blow this play dead. The Carolina Panthers have just scored a safety.” #2-“The panthers will also get the ball on the free kick.” #1-we will return after a word from our sponsors “. #1-“And we are back. We have just witnessed one of the weirdest drives in NFL history. Saints quarterback, Marion orange just ran the ball back and scored a safety for the other team.” #2-“ back to receive the kick is um … who is that Tom?” #1-“ I don’t know Jim. I’ve never seen this guy before in my life. I also noticed that his uniform is a little bit too big for his body.“. #1-“ the Saints kick off and uh the unknown panther lets the ball drop, and nobody seems to want to jump on the ball. The ball is blown dead.” #1-“ the Panthers will have the ball on their own 37 yard line. Looks like they also have a new quarterback.” #1-“ this is one of the weirdest football games I have announced Tom do you have any idea who that guy is?” #2-“ no but his uniform is way too tight. I don’t see how he can move.” #1-“ the unknown, Panthers quarterback, takes the snap and wow! He is immediately dropped by cam Jordan for a huge loss. “ #2-“ if I didn’t know any better Tom, I would say that the quarterback was trying to run the other way, but cam Jordan caught up with him too fast.” #1-“ah it looks like the Panthers are celebrating in that huge 17 yard loss.” #2-“ my sources have confirmed that the new quarterback for the Panthers is the equipment manager, TJ Duncan”. (both announcers, forget to mute the .microphone, and they are heard chitchat thing in the background). #2-“ oh I get it! I get it. I bet both of them are trying to tank for a high draft pick “. #1-“ well,, if that is the case, the Panthers have a huge two point lead to overcome!” (both announcers discovered the microphone has never been muted. They are over come by embarrassment, announcer 2 asks announcer 1. if he still has that flask of Jack Daniels in his pocket.). #1-“ it is first down and 27 to go from the Panthers 10 yard line” #2-“ Saints call their first time out, .,,, It looks like the coaches in the sideline or walking off the field.” #1-“For whatever reason, the Saints have decided to forfeit this game.” #2-“ the panther sideline is running after the Saints sidelines they are dragging each other back to the field.” #1-“uh oh!! it looks like fighting has broken out. We will return after this message. Any word from our sponsor?” #2-“ I think we better clarify that we will try to return after these messages any word from our sponsor.”

It does look to me like, Bryce can now develop without a lot of immediate pressure to perform. There is time to assess his true value.
-
If the Saints are stupid enough to trade Taysom Hill and Cam Jordon, would you take them? there are panicked emotional Saints fans that want to trade them before the June 1st deadline.
-
This brings up another good point, Should players “walk out and refuse to play”. If the team has a loosing record? This would definitely send a message to management that the fans demand changes.
