Hello All. It is time to prepare for the next game. In my opinion, this game will be informative. I think the key to beating the Saints is, “Pressure the QB”. We saw this happening with the game against the Titans. The Saints only managed to score one TD. here is the good news: the Panthers are playing at home. The Panthers always seem to have the Saints number (Football is a mental game and the Panthers are more determined to win than the Saints are.) the Panthers must protect Bryce Young. Pressure is a strong factor for the Saints. Probably need to have an arsenal of screen plays. win or loose, we should have a better knowledge of the strength of each team in our division. thoughts?

I mentioned earlier that most NFL teams do not play rookie QBs immediately. They learn behind a veteran. Look at Jordon Love at Green Bay. however, this decision should have been made before the preseason games. I am not saying that starting Young was not the proper decision. I am saying that benching Young after the first game of the season is a mistake. We humans are emotional creatures. (Approximately %90 emotion %10 logic). It is very important to control emotions when making any decisions. This consideration sounds like panic. it is only the first game of the season. Give Young 2 or 3 more games. Then make a more realistic assessment. You still have time to recover.

Official Panthers at Falcons GameDay Thread!
Green-Ghost replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
Who is this guy? Is he joking or is he a non-Panthers fan invading the board?? he sounds like a typical smug Falcons fan. Very classless. -
I predict the Panthers will dispose of the Falcons in game one of the season. Game two will be against the Saints. The Panthers versus the Saints will be close, but the Panthers have always had the saints number in the past. I think after the first two NFL games, we will have a good idea of how strong the Panthers are. Panthers 35 * Falcons 20

Our Announcers for the Week 1 Game at ATL
Green-Ghost replied to SaltAndPepper's topic in Carolina Panthers
I agree. I would even bring back Howard Cossel from the afterlife. I heard the IRS is researching how to bring people back from the afterlife, to pay taxes. -
Agreed !!! by the way, what is Fat Fhule…. Er ah.. Mat Fool’s record? I mean, what is Mat Rhule’s record, since he became con man at Nebraska? I meant coach. Sorry I am suffering beer withdrawal .

By the way, Chad Kelly is currently in some strangers house watching a strangers television set, as we speak.

Actually, yes, he is NFL caliber. If he can keep his head on straight. I believe that is why people keep harping on him. It is because he does have genuine potential.

Bingo…

The Panthers have had the Saints number even before Dennis Allen. The real question would be how many teams outside of division can the Panthers beat? I think the order will be: Panthers, saints, Falcons, Bucs . The bucks will be a wild card this year.

Who is the third string quarterback now?
-
There’s no question Bryce Young is the correct quarterback. The question is, can he be protected during the game?
-
I agree. The biggest problem I see is the offense line. Even a GOAT cannot perform if he doesn’t have the time.

There is no doubt in my mind that corral has talent. My question is does he have NFL mentality? I watched a Saints game where Andy Dalton threw back to back pick six interceptions. I believe Andy is a quarterback you do not want as your starter. I think he is mediocre, but he is stable enough to carry the team until your starting quarterback is ready to play.

I unfortunately did not get to see the game. So I really can’t comment on corrals play. The game was blocked in my area. However, as an Ole Miss graduate, I had hope to see Carell perform much better than he has so far. I said, in an earlier post, I’ve seen too many quarterbacks out of Ole Miss with mental issues. Eli Manning is the exception. They are very talented, but apparently do not have the mental stability to be successful. my question is who would be the better back up to young? I personally do not have a lot of confidence in Andy Dalton. I watched Andy throw two pick sixes in a Saints game. I personally still believe in young. I think he is in need of some experience and then he will be OK.

Do we feel lucky?

I understand the frustration but, all due respect, why do you think the Saints will win the division? Almost every Saints vs Panthers game has resulted in a Panthers victory. Even with a week QB. The Panthers have the Saints number, like the Saints have the Falcons number. The preseason isn’t even over, and I am hearing wait till next year. you have a brand new, young inexperienced quarterback. Young is still loaded with potential. He just needs playing time and experience. My understanding is most NFL teams don’t start off a young rookie quarterback on the first season. They usually develop the young quarterback behind an older more experienced quarterback. if the Panthers beat the Saints this season, the only team standing in their way is two struggling NFC south teams. Keep the faith…..

Nowadays, some people just can’t hold a job.

Didn’t I read or hear somewhere that Brett Favre was trying to make a comeback?

Young is officially the starting QB.

Future rookie of the year. -
Jerome,, retire,,, oh, he must be getting new tires for his car. (The NFL loves him too much to let him go.)
