Draft. Matt Coral, maybe?
-
? Not sure how that hurts the Saints. I think D Watson has too much baggage. This might be a blessing in disguise.

English was never my strong point

During an offseason like this one, there just isn’t an outstanding QB. I was never sold on Darnold. But, I thought he would be a crapshoot. Jamis was awful with TB but, showed good potential with a new team. I Noticed that team coaches are more important than I realized. I still don’t know why Cam Newton fell off, as bad as he has. tom Brady started as a 6th round draft pick. If Tom was just out of college and in the draft today, how many teams would be willing to take a chance on him?
-
I was just curious regarding Jamis Winston. The Saints want to keep him but, he may be too expensive. he redeemed himself last season, to a certain extent. He went 5-2 before his injury. Saints salary cap may force the Saints to let him go.

I’ve held out hope…. I’m switching sides
Green-Ghost replied to Actionman0z's topic in Carolina Panthers
Correct me if I am wrong but, isn’t the flaming red an yellow jacket, also a straight jacket? -
Oh wow! We have real problems when a Saints fan cares more than a Panthers fan. No disrespect intended. I just don’t see where this attitude helps the team. I don’t mean to focus on a person. I am focusing on the attitude. I see this attitude with a lot of people. I just see this attitude as: “ I give up on the team”.

am I in the Carolina Panther forum? For a moment, I thought I was in the Falcon Forum. But then the blue color tipped me off.

I totally agree. Other fans are called Bandwaggon fans. The best medicine is to win. If Panthers make 1st place. The fan base will increase.

Maybe you guys should raid the Saints. According to ESPN, the Saints are over their salary cap, And they need to clean house.
-
Step 1 - take inventory. What are the weaknesses and strengths? You have already covered this. what is the mental condition in the locker room. (How confident is the team with the Coach staff and other team members). I think fans forget looking from the outside is not the same thing as being on the inside. step 2 - Planning. What steps should we take. Assuming the locker room is okay. I thought the defense was a strong point. I do think the offense needs work. Is Jimmy G the answer? I am convinced accuracy and delivery time are crucial to a QB. (QB needs to deserve nickname “Federal Express). Ask yourself, how would Darnel perform with Sean Payton as coach. step 3 - Action bring in the veteran QB. Let the off season QB competition begin. Veteran has experience but your Current QB has experience with the team. Make sure the offensive line can give your QB time. (Find linemen who believe road rage is fun).

Lane Kiffin could leave Ole Miss. it’s not impossible.
-
This is possible. Eli was acquired by the Saints, approximately 2 years ago. Last week he trashed Sean Payton and the Saints. It sounds to me Eli has a problem with authority. Matt Rhule could have been mad beyond his breaking point, when he made the statement.
-
Enough said. The rule should be, if the 1st team scores either a FG or a TD. The other team has the opportunity to possess the ball. I have a feeling the NFL doesn’t want to do this. They are worried about the time.

What is Rhule going to give up for Jimmy G?
Green-Ghost replied to Sean Payton's Vicodin's topic in Carolina Panthers
I am an Ole Miss graduate. 1983. So I am a little Biased. I think whoever you get needs to be accurate. Unbelievable accuracy is what made Brees so powerful. the question I have is, “How accurate is JG”. BTW - Matt Corral will most likely be available when it is the Panthers to choose, in the draft. Matt took Ole Miss to their 1st ever 10 win season. He has broken many of Eli Manning’s records. He is extremely accurate. I think he is worth, at least a look. -
Who will be worst team in NFC south next season
Green-Ghost replied to Jmac's topic in Carolina Panthers
I think it depends upon who the Saints have as their coach. It will make a difference as to how many players are lost. if things stay the same, my unbiased attempt is: 1. Saints 2. Panthers 3. Falcons 4. Buccaneers-(Yes, Brady was that good.) -
Jamis went 5 wins and 2 losses while coached by Sean Payton, before he was injured. Miami didn’t want to take a chance on Drew Brees, just after his injury. I am sure the Miami fans said the same thing. I am not saying Jamis will be a superstar, I am saying, you can’t automatically assume he won’t be. I think Jamis problem was Tampa’s coaching staff. It looks to me the Panther coaching is the problem. Cam obviously struggled this year yet, he was very good.

Have you ever hated this team more than right now?
Green-Ghost replied to hepcat's topic in Carolina Panthers
You could have been a Jacksonville fan. Atlanta Fan, etc. keep the faith. -
The problem is the coach does not have full control of the team. Jerry overrides the coach. This is why is friend, Sean Payton, will not coach Dallas. BTW, Dallas fans are licking their chops, hoping Dallas can somehow pull Payton away from the Saints.

This HC Rhule guy is just downright embarrassing
Green-Ghost replied to saX man's topic in Carolina Panthers
I rewatched the Panthers vs Saints game tonight, the announcer indicated that Matt Rhule’s contract would cost the Panther Organization a lot of money to fire him, before next season. Has anyone else heard this? They didn’t go into details. Could this be a reason Rhule wasn’t fired? -
This can be a playoff team next year if we bring Cam back......
Green-Ghost replied to tukafan21's topic in Carolina Panthers
I just can’t see Cam agreeing to that role. Cam is physically built for that role. ( Tough and fast). But, he would not want that role. I also think teams are learning how to stop Taysom. He doesn’t seem to have the success, he used to have. -
Rhule is a liar and full of poo
Green-Ghost replied to slumdogmillionaire's topic in Carolina Panthers
Ask the Ole Miss Rebels. That was not a second rate Baylor team, that embarrassed them in the Sugar Bowl. Baylor without Rhule -
Bill Vinovich he determines outcomes. Jerome Boger is not political.

Panthers fire Blackburn, Okam, and Meyer
Green-Ghost replied to Cdparr7's topic in Carolina Panthers
I see this a lot in both College and Pro football . The coach, who is on the Hot Seat, fires his assistant coaches. The coach maybe either; worried about his job and wants to show changes or the coach genuinely thinks the assistants are not performing properly.
