  1. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/34593489/is-baker-mayfield-height-blame-passes-getting-batted-down just thought this was interesting. Me personally,, I have seen average height QBs have very successful careers.

  3. Sean will resurrect the Panthers and make them the new powerhouse!
  4. I predict that Rhule will be fired at the end of the season. The Panthers will hire Sean Payton to be their new head coach. i can’t see Sean going to Dallas unless he wants to end his friendship with Jerry
  5. Who do y’all think is better? I can’t tell. I haven’t seen enough game film.
  6. I honestly think this is a Wide open division. People in the Press love Brady. They will be biased. the Saints defense still is Strong. Falcons are showing potential. Panthers are showing potential. Buccaneers do not have the same supporting cast for Brady. I think we will have to wait until approximately three games into the season before, we can make accurate predictions.
  7. Play Mayfield 1st quarter. Darnold 2nd. Corral 3&4. This I hope. What I think will happen is, play mayfield 1st and 2nd. Darnold 3rd. Corral 4th.
  8. That rumor remains strong because, Jerry and Sean are very good friends. However, I can’t see Sean coaching Dallas. Sean wants total control. Jerry is a control freak. if Sean makes that mistake, Jerry and Sean will not remain friends.
  9. I just thought this article was too interesting not to share: https://footballbowler.com/web-stories/nfl-world-reacts-to-sean-payton-expected-return/ Sean said, he does not know where. However, the Miami herald list Carolina Panthers as a possible landing spot. I wonder how Saints fans would feel?
  10. Wow! Great post! Simple answer: Just WIN baby! Win!!! An above .5000 start, would be a good start.
  11. I think whoever starts, should get good support. In other words, don’t play musical quarterbacks. Give the starter a fair shot before you bench him.
  12. I heard today, the Falcons had to shut down practice, due to fist fighting. Aren’t they supposed to do that during regular season?
  13. I agree. My concern is, does the future potential QB understand this. I agree you must be assertive but, I believe you can be too assertive. it is similar to applying for Employment. Speaking bad regarding your former employer hurts your chances of being hired. I put a lot of faith in Matt Corral. However, my heart is with the Carolina Panthers. No question in my mind, Corral is loaded with talent. But, I want the best QB in the starting position. The question is who is the best quarterback that can take us to the Super Bowl, let alone to first place in the division.
  14. I agree. But, I didn’t start this. Talk to the other Guy.
  15. How many State Alumni play for the Panthers? Just curious.
  16. I think Ole Miss is not at the level of Alabama, Texas A&M, ETC. That being said, I think Ole Miss can beat any team in the SEC on a given day. I Watched just about every football game since then, there were three quarterbacks, I thought were really good: Eli Manning, Chad Kelly and Matt Corral. All three quarterbacks were very talented. They Delivered the football with terrific accuracy and precision. There is no question in my mind that Matt Corral can be a superstar, if he has a good personality. Obviously as an old miss graduate I am biased, however my point in my post was an attempt to be unbiased. Eli Manning was obviously very talented, he went on to win two Super Bowls for the New York Giants. Chad Kelly could have been a superstar if he had kept his head straight. He had personal problems that kept him from being successful in the NFL. My concern with Matt now is, is he going to talk bad about other schools and other players. I don’t think trashing former schools, players or any organization is a good idea. It leads to hard feelings among players schools etc. I just feel like the statement regarding Ole Miss was or is a red flag. I actually agree with Matt here. He does make a good point. However, I think he should have kept it to himself and not made it public. Why would you disappoint future team leaders etc. They may be mats boss one day, who knows.
  17. Sorry for double post. I couldn’t get the 1st post to show, thought I deleted before posting.
  18. I understand his reasoning. However, why not keep it to yourself? As a former Ole Miss Alumni, I am disappointed. I know several Ole Miss Alumni who are Panther fans. https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/panthers/2022/07/27/carolina-panthers-qb-matt-corral-admits-regret-choosing-ole-miss/10161035002/
  19. USA Today Article Makes sense but, as an Ole Miss alumni, I am disappointed.
  20. I read this post the other day: https://thespun.com/.amp/more/top-stories/panthers-release-quarterback-following-baker-mayfield-trade sounds like Darnold should be 3rd string.
  21. I think he should be third string. I think you are in good shape with the QB position. They should complete with each other in the pre season. Then you will have a better idea of each QB’s talent. the only thing that worries me is , “Musical QBs during the season”. In other words, benching a starter too soon, if things go south.
  22. I am just glad I am not a Cleveland Browns fan. They now have Watson and no backup to speak of. Panthers have a good QB roster.
  23. The NFL is an interesting game. Last year, the Saints defense destroyed Green Bay. The Panthers defense destroyed the Saints. I am not sure the defense is a problem.
