Keep the 3-4 and add the real beef up front in Grant and Walker to add to D Brown. Walker as an every down scheme agnostic OLB, and Jackson outside in base and can come down onto the DL for pure pass rush downs.

Walker and Walker combo.   Jalon is a versatile and effective linebacker. Deone is the 3-4 NT to free up Brown. JT and TJ are developmental defensive linemen that add depth and youth. Davison has size and pedigree being from Ohio St as a corner.  All defense and a trade out of the top 10 to build. PFN_Draft_result_1734059189534.thumb.png.128f6dddbb951c451e776d96faa259a4.png

    love both walkers.

jalon can play so many roles well. WLB, SLB, Joker.....

deone walker is an absolute anchor with a really great 1st burst off the line.

only other DT i really covet is Kenneth Grant. im not sold he is there at 50 or later. but hes a monster too.

Yeah, the only lesson to take from the Bryce situation is that you don't completely mortgage the franchise to trade up to draft a guy that has every physical talent red flag a QB can have.

Think it's broader than that. If they have a bunch of physical red flags, don't pick/trade the farm to get them 1-1, or even later still. There is a time to take that risk in a player with physical red flags, but trading assets and value from early rounds (4) ain't it.

Fumble was a result of a sack on first play in second half. Should’ve run the ball instead.

Already mentioned Turnovers on #5 but you want every thread to be only about Bryce.

    You’re just trolling now

Canales tried to establish a run game, hell 1st drive, went to it 2nd drive on 2nd and 5, but got nada and a penalty to make it 3rd and 10. 3rd drive of the game back to the ground, oh that ended in another turnover, INT. Following drive run again and backwards to start the drive. Then a penalty to make it 2nd and 18, sorry not running out of that one.  Following drive is the Coker TD damn didn't establish the run there dave, for shame.......

Stare the 2nd half with with a bryce fumble. We went 3 and out the next 2 drives after the fumble. Started with a run the 2nd drive of the half, as you wanted the 1st drive after seeing a fumble, and got 1 yard. What did you want another run then? In 3rd and a mile after the sack, running wasnt an option. Dallas scores a td after that 3 and out. So it was 24-7. Next drive starts with a big sack, so again want to run when it's long yardage and 2nd and 19? 3rd down was 11 yards to go, so again want to run?

Dallas scores again so it's 27-7 and now the 4th quarter. Game set match. Woohoo we got one more TD, and the string plays out. Sean that story all last year. By the 27-7 mark, games over. Dave tried to run the ball, but either it was inopportune to run more in the 1st half, or a mistake cost is the opportunity. So no way no how this is on Dave for not trying to run the ball.

Abandon the run in the 2nd half my ass. Unless you really want foxball and RR back (both are available, I wonder why) to run every 1st and most 2nd downs, we tried or it wasn't an option in the second half. So try another reason than abandoning the running game, dang troll. Stop blaming the coach for Bryce again.

So to surmise, what we passed on 1st down to start the half and your blaming that? your words ' should have run the ball instead' is post fumble (bad Bryce outcome). We get a yard like 2nd drive in the 2nd half via running it and it's back to saying the running game is putting Bryce in a bad spot. That's the song and dance we heard last year and to start the year. Can't have it both ways. That fumble was a huge swing, as was the fumble in the red zone and driving with relative ease.

  5. yeah Frazier was my dude. strong nasty, technical C. lots of playing time. but got a RB for a few games this year and 3 mnore years after. oh and signed a RB long term this year too.

brooks got to be damn good for that to be worth it now. and while i think he can be a bellcow, it make investing in all the RBs vs other area an issue.

we have one of the better lines atm. if it was frazier at C, my goodness we would be set for a long while.

this year has a 2 OC im looking at Jake Majors , and Bryce Foster (massive, nasty streak, really want)

Ok now show me the list of those QB's who did that in their SECOND year....don't worry I'll wait

Really low bar of 220ypg in year 2

So on that list its (11):

    Mayfield

    Lawrence

    Goff

    Carr

    Herbert

    Darnold

Stafford (2nd healthy year, far over in rookie year)

    Burrow

    Purdy

    Mahomes

    Stroud (so far in 2024)

not on 2024 of 220ypg+ list but 31 or under and did in year 2 (5😞

    Murray

    Winston

    Watson

    Lock

    Mariota

    so what 16?

That list has some duds there too. Also, it's passing some old dudes (Dalton, Flacco). It passes late start guys: Love, Rogers (old), Cousins (old). It passes Prescott (many over 220) and Wilson (many over 220) who were over 200 but not 220.  also Jackson, an MVP that Young wont sniff as a runner to augment the rushing yards. J. Allen who  jump came year 3, but had rushing yards in year 2 that Young wont.

the list of more than 180 ypg in year #1 while starting 10+ games is larger

young had 5 of 16 games with over 200..... less than 1/3 were 200+ yards........ its a problem.

glad he had a game where he didnt totally fug up. but we are still needing a lot more the 2nd half of the year.

Are the rookies like a caccoon?

we have both been on the huddle for the teflon john era, its now teflon bryce era. what ever it is (other rookies, the OL, OC/HC, scrub WRS) there is someone else to blame for the sub par performance.

For those who want us to tank: Who in this draft has franchise QB tendencies and skills that will translate to the next level?

I honestly don’t see a single player with franchise QB characteristics.

I’m still not sold on Bryce long term, but we have needs all over in order to set the next young QB up for success.

eh, would not shock me if 1 of the top 3 QBs works out between Ward (successful in 3 stops already), Ewers, or Sanders. i still have doubts on all 3 atm, but lots of games left.

No just stay where we are let the chips fall where they may. We've made our bed just have to roll with it no more trades.

eh depends on the cost and what the selection is. ward, sanders, ewers are the only ones in play right now imo. as of today, im not moving up for any of that lot. but there is a lot of games left to see what they all do as the pressure mounts for them all.

then again i was all for standing pat in 2023 and not making the trade. let a non QB come on down and ride sam/walker+1 for another year and build up. gosh how that could have been. stroud may have been worth the cost, idk.

Picking high gives you a better opportunity to draft great players. But you still have to actually select the right one, which we suck at.

the fact this is lost on so many is infuriating. all pick have risk its a given, but getting all the earliest picks you can means you get to set yourself with the best opportunity to get it right. we screwed up last time, royally. does not mean we will again. hell the texans showed what you can do with 2 early picks in 2023........

For all the talk of the defense and Evero they got yet another takeaway.

Bryce and the offense need to win the damn game already they are gift wrapping it for us.

Evero hate is maddening. we have 0 offense and its Evero's fault all the time that his bunch of rejects from the couch are getting burned. think if we find the mythical starting QB thats eluded us for nearing a decade (yeah 2015 level cam is not a decade away), and evero gets to draft some help on defense, there is a chance this team is ok. knew going into the year the d was sus and the offense hinged on bryce. bryce got a 2nd W but it was ugly.

If the panthers were run like the Atlanta braves jalen coker would get a ten year contract after this seaso.

And rightfully so. AA doesn't fug around and wait when he finds a good player.

Hope they do the same with Coker. Wouldn't let him get close to his first FA.

Honestly, Clemson would clean their clock. If it was Miami it would be a basketball score and flip a coin.

and SMU likely Pitt. but Miami is the ACC chosen ones.  big 12 is charmin without the blue bloods this year.

SMU winning the ACC in their first year in the conference would be so ACC. That's how pathetic this conference is. How you let a newcomer win the conference in their first season smh.

so if Texas wins the SEC then the SEC sucks to?
