  1. Was pissed they insta called it a TD on TV. was like WTF, pick plays don't exist again? And the funny thing the eagles have a problem as they continue bto actually make contact on them after getting burned doing it to KC last week and getting caught. Would have thought someone in Philly would have brought that up in practice all week
  2. Man so we miss Davis. I hope that Hubbard improves but man he has really put us behind with some big drops the last 3 games.
  3. Pump the brakes a weee bit. That 2015 squad was pretty special all around and at the time, we all thought it was the start of the Panthers' dynasty, whoops. I am cautiously optimistic, like all the other optimism around these parts, but I've seen the same optimistic story before. Some of the cracks then are for sure around now. backend full of vets patchwork with glimmers of youth sprinkled in, a much more questionable OL than 2015 by miles, overall depth concerns throughout. The glimmer here is we don't have a naturally cautious staff and have a GM that is much more a wheel and deal guy that can get a lot of value coming out way for not a lot going out. Between his trades in the draft to stock up on talent and his low hanging fruit trades to bring in better talent for minor picks, I've like some of what I've seen. Little concerned on the rentals for picks but..... Otherwise big upgrade for the franchise. Kinda quick but he has shown out after less than 1 year in the chair more than all the other GMs in Charlotte, not that he's that masterful but God we had some terrible GMS.
  4. Option to move elf (shutters) or Erving to center. Both have played C before. Honestly both shifting in a spot likely makes them play up as they really don't play very well in the positions they are being asked to play in.
  5. If you only had facts on your side but alas, you don't.
  6. Did you only watch the 3rd quarter? We absolutely looked like we belonged the 1st half, especially with the way the refs walked the cowboys down the field for a TD and took away a fumble at the 50....
  7. Honestly, 3-1 and this loss is still dang good start to the year. Think folks will temper the expectations on the D and also an eyes open moment on the o-line. Can't really defend the o-line today. Now the refs, they are 6 of those points today and really hurt us throughout, but what did y'all expect
  8. Welp need likely 2 stops here short fellas. Doubt Dallas leaves it to the D
  9. Lots of assumptions in there to get stops. Don't leave points on the field at this juncture. This early would be kinda like John Fox chasing points in the super bowl.
  10. All week it was the o-line and LT was fine lmao. No need to look at the line during the year. Hope those folks come on back and eat some tasty crow. This team is held waaay back by the o-line yet again.
  11. 2020 score. Thanks for the jerk off refs in the 1st half, kept the boys in the game.
  12. Sam is gunning for the rushing TD record by a QB? Like keep rumbling young buck.
  13. HOG Joe Namath would like Terry Bradshaw to hold his beer on that award.....
  14. Erving has experience at LG, where he is better suited
  15. Wanted Sewell, was boardline on Slater at our original draft slot (do want now), could have traded back for Darrisaw (not looking great with the minor injuries delaying his start). I'm fine with Horn, but still think the value was at OT. Get Neal or Linderbaum via the draft next year and start nailing down the left side bookend or center position for the long term
  16. Wins losses be damned, he has 100% looked like a top 10 QB for good stretches in all 3 games. At 23 this is a great sign. The arm is extremely live and he doesn't have to be set to throw darts. Also he has some wheels too. You can see why, like Josh Allen, he was taken so early in the draft. The game seams to be slowing down for him to and he's making better reads. Yes he still misses some but he'll all QBS do that. We could be 0-3 with a terrible D and I still would be impressed with Darnold so far. The step up from Teddy is visible in the downfield throws over 15 yards. Also his darts on throws where he is throwing across his body on the move are impressive too. I know people hate the check downs both have, but I think thats as much to do with Brady/Payton system as the QB. Take the chunks if they are free. Getting away from Gase is huge and it's visible. Now get him a better line and he we will be a contender here with the rest of the weapons we have on offense.
  17. Wtf is in the water here? CMC out a good thing, heck no. The 2nd half is your measuring stick? What about the 1st half with and without CMC. Lord have mercy this is like Kyle Allen all fuging over again, loose a guy and still get wins so must be that the guy that went down wasn't as valuable as believed. Sorry but the O was putting together nice drives with. CMC in all year. It's annoying he is out, again, he is such a large part of the offense and salary cap to boot. With CMC, we know he gives the team a huge weapon that's a matchup nightmare and is a big threat every time he's out there healthy. That's gone now and we will have to use a ton of parts that are a lot more 1 dimensional to fill in for him. He is more than a safety blanket...... Long term the real question that people don't want to hear: is a RB worth the salary he is getting? In some ways because he is such a great receiver and runner (other than the oddity that is short yardage results) he might be vs a more traditional back. Then again would putting that money into, IDK, a better LT worth it?
  18. Very nice start to the season fellas. Took care of business these three games. Honestly other than the boneheaded end of the half on D, the D really gave it to Houston. As good as Sam has been, that D really is the story of the season for us. They were historically terrible to start last year, and flat dominating now. Seeing the fruits of last year's draft on D. Fitt made the right FA moves in Fox, Jones, and discounted Reddick.
  19. Worthy selection in the back half of the 1st round. Would like to have him as it really would help finally move on from Ryan Kalil and get a stud in here.
  20. Pre draft, how would slater and Sewell fit into this group. Thinking: 1. Neal 2. Sewell 3. Slater 4. Walker......
  21. Leno was a FA and went for 5 mill on a prove it deal. Brown is going for double (totally worth that number) and we also would have to give something up for him. Only thing I would say with Leno, Leno and Erving inside are better than Erving with elf inside. Elf was done in Minny, cooked in NYC and dead here. Not saying Leno is some savior or anything close. Now if we could find a LG well that be nice too. Kinda pissed we didn't ask for a friendly deal with the Bills when they moved on so early from Wyatt Teller but that's long gone now. Pretty much anyone that's not big bucks will be a stopgap though, rather pay a penny not the pound that Brown was going to cost.
