I dunno about 24, I mean if history repeats itself he'll do good enough to raise his stock come FA, but not enough to win us games. Plus 8 is the original Kobe number, plus his draft pick, he would be the first great single digit CB.

During Week 16 against the Green Bay Packers, Darnold finished with 341 passing yards and three touchdowns. Marred by 16 penalties, the Jets squandered a 15-point lead and lost 44–38 in overtime.[47] During Week 17 against the New England Patriots, Darnold finished with 167 passing yards as the Jets lost 38–3 in the regular-season finale. (reference) How he perform after this game though? Oh, that's right Coach Belichick watches film too. Last game of that year, Sam looked lost. Came back the year after ok but sick, missed a couple games, then guess what, that's right, Coach Belichick had the boy seeing Ghosts.... There was potential, WAS, until Belichick showed the blueprint on how to dismantle Sam. Hey, if he proves me wrong, my team makes the playoffs.(1st year PSL owner:) I'll admit it if I'm wrong, hell, I'll buy a Darnold jersey and put 's B***h because that's what you do when you make a mistake. How many excuses are there going be when Sam fails though???

ESPN's Marcus Spears on Matt Rhule
CPsinceDay1 replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
If we start out 1-4, and Darnold still looks like a jet, will Rhule bench him? Will he fold under pressure? Remember how long Whitehead started? Pride before the fall... Dumping Cam, Giving up on Teddy, Passing on Fields/Jones,... *HotTake* PJ starter by end of the year. -

Matt Rhule on Sam Darnold and the QB Situation
CPsinceDay1 replied to methodtoll's topic in Carolina Panthers
For one,Grier was not picked by this staff. But here’s a quote when we signed PJ, replace Teddy with Sam for this year. "This wasn't just some throwaway signing," said one source with knowledge of the situation. "Matt really believes this kid can play." His athleticism helps Walker, 25, manipulate the pocket to compensate for less than ideal size, and the Panthers signed him to a multi-year deal, smartly, that would then set Walker up as an exclusive rights free agent in 2022 and a restricted free agent in 2023; should he emerge as a real starting option they are protected and he could also be used as a trade chip at some point if Bridgewater sees through his contract in Carolina PJ >Grier Put Grier in the XFL and I doubt he has the same success as PJ did. -
Matt Rhule on Sam Darnold and the QB Situation
CPsinceDay1 replied to methodtoll's topic in Carolina Panthers
Rhule's guy: PJ Walker, it shows how much confidence he has in PJ really, think about it, who's more likely to start if Sam bombs or gets hurt. PJ Walker by season's end images (4).mp4 -

If you want to talk about chess pieces, that’s exactly what Hamsah Nasirildeen was in high school. Originally listed as an athlete from Concord, North Carolina, Nasirildeen played as many as four positions, lining up at wide receiver, tight end, linebacker, and safety. It’s no surprise that Nasirildeen was one of the more popular players in the 2017 class. Fit's Rhule's type of picks.
-
If Trey gets grab in 5th round, boy oh boy Sam has no excuses, they've gone out their way to make a way for him. Pick 158 Then pick up Nasirildeen. Pick 166 Best case scenario.

I think Trey Smith going to fall some more then BAM, a 1st round talent in the 5th... If that happens Rhule n Fitterer = genius

Ok, Sam has no excuses, this guy made buster Z.Wilson look good. 3/3 so far...and I wanted Fields but I say to myself he wasn't there, that's how I live with the Horn pick. Because I like Horn but Fields was there........ -

Panthers Trade 2nd rounder w/ Bears for more picks
CPsinceDay1 replied to TheWiz's topic in Carolina Panthers
Fields is/going be, say it with me, ELITE, and it's a guarantee he's better than Darnold. I personally can't wait for Sam to bomb so PJ gets his shot. "HotTake" PJ Walker will be the starter by the end of the year -
