Matt Rhule after SECOND Joint Practice with the Colts
CPsinceDay1 replied to SBBlue's topic in Carolina Panthers
I would just like to add: Who's idea was it to keep starting Whitehead??? -
Even the production staff needs reps for commercial breaks
-
So does Winston, he literally trip over his own feet... the saints hot garbage all around, if we lose to them omg,
-
That curse was removed when we "passed on" Fields. Now the team who did will have to suffer such fate....
-
Wait, is Horn even starting tomorrow???
-
I wanted Fields, once they released Cam but I started to come around to taking Jones...only because after that Clemson game I just knew Fields would be gone. My take was Fields/Lawrence/Lance/Jones/Wilson/Trask...and I value them all before Darnold. Hell I wouldve traded for Mitch > Sam

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.si.com/.amp/college/2021/07/07/elite-11-qbs-spencer-rattler-sam-howell Willis just outperformed them both at the elite 11, if he really takes off this year, I mean Heisman worthy it's going to take a lot to get him. Remember we were actually 4-12 but Washington gave us that game to screw us out of draft position, even if that's not true just remember how this past draft went... Everyone knew we were in the market for QB and failing twice only going make the price go up even higher. Just hoping we don't get so desperate at the QB position, we end up trading for R.Wilson at age 45.

Too bad as a Panthers fan u don't know how to feel until game 3 of the preseason
-
1 year, maybe just half this year trying to win with Darnold...but have no fear... And after trading for the number 1 draft pick in 2022, the Carolina Panthers select Malik Willis QB Liberty You know to make up for that HUGE mistake last year...

Oh that's right, in practice he's redshirt but I can only imagine watching said practice made Rhule say no starters, bc he didn't want Darnold to get his mouth busted open/heart broken before the season even started. -

Is that what happened to Darnold during practice??? -

I'm actually hoping they don't. He needs the reps, something he didn't get last year. I believe if the colts do start a couple on defense and PJ shines just enough, it might take away this false assumption it's always the O-line fault when the QB can't produce. -

5:51... PJ to start against the colts Sunday. It's like Darnold vs jets...I mean as far as playing against your old squad. Will be interesting to see how he does? -
The closest thing to a must-win game in years?
CPsinceDay1 replied to top dawg's topic in Carolina Panthers
For Darnold it is... For the team overall...not really. -
In modern football, the earliest RPO probably occurred on Texas high school fields. Chad Morris, who coached in the state during the 1990s, was desperate to find an edge for his offense, which ran the triple option, and had a lightbulb moment: “What if we read the [cornerback] instead of the [defensive] end?” His quarterback wouldn’t pitch the ball or keep it based on the defense. He would keep it or pass it deep. Therefore it's run, pass, or qb run...but the QB has to be enough of a threat to take off for it to work or the QB can have Darnold's mobility but his decision making would have to be on par with Brady. Nick Foles used it against the Patriots. But Foles was smart with the football, Darnold has yet to show that in 3 NFL career years dating back to college.
-
Darnold’s DISASTROUS PICK 6 against Ohio State, which more or less sealed the game with 44 minutes to go, came on such an RPO, as he threw a hitch that a late-spinning safety easily housed.

I might've hypothetically speaking thought maybe under this regimen ex.Coach Rhule type over J.LameDuckSNZ Fox. Okay 5-11 And as far as the Oline, yeah kinda, but if Moton turns into Gross, and we find a gem like Norwell, so on...but 2015 panthers probably had the best oline to date across the board and yet without them skill positions, well DeMarcus said BeWARE. Cmc = Davis/Foster or Dwill/Stew all in one by himself. Now as far as Wrs. Omg is this the Carolina Panthers? TEs the jury still out but Arnold can be by the looks of it just efficient as Olsen and Tremble can possibly be our Shockey. Darnold sure did inherit a better overall system than any other QB that's ever started for the Carolina Panthers, that's a fact.
-
Exactly why Darnold shouldn't be running any rpo's. Even Rodgers hasn't quite master that skill yet. And people sleep on Rodgers mobility like Brees. Darnold's no threat running, the reason why he may have a couple highlights here and there because no one really respects him as a runner. Sidenote: Trying to change Darnold game is like trying to make Cam a pocket passer. Darnold's actually very good moving within the pocket.

Carolina Panthers Training Camp - Monday Thread

We all win if Lisa Wilson shows up. -
They're now on Darnold's overhype tractor...by mid season those same guys going want Rattler/Howell.
-
Dj still giving out blessings... Imagine someone with a Ravens Smith Sr. Jersey, think DJ would be so vocal??? Just playing but honestly how y'all feel about fans showing up to practice like that?

The underdog is here: Malik Willis The next Vick: https://www.si.com/nfl/falcons/news/malik-willis-atlanta-falcons-michael-vick-nfl-qb-liberty-next Malik Willis could potentially become this season's breakout college football star at the quarterback spot during his second campaign as the full-time starter for the Flames. In 2020, Willis completed 64.2% of his passes for 2,250 yards, 20 touchdowns, and six interceptions. He also showed off his dual-threat ability with 944 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns. Another season in Hugh Freeze’s offense could help him elevate his play even more and some scouts have already compared his rapid ascension to that of BYU's Zach Wilson, who went No. 2 overall in April's NFL Draft to the New York Jets.-247sports Carolina's mock pick #9. https://www.nfl.com/news/scouting-malik-willis-liberty-qb-offers-jalen-hurts-like-skill-set What I liked: I wrote the word "explosive" in my notes numerous times while studying these three games. Willis has dynamic/quick hands and he generates incredible velocity on the football. He has a lot of juice/twitch in his feet during his setup and he is sudden to avoid and escape pressure to extend plays or take off. As a runner, he doesn't have elite top speed, but his short-area burst is impressive. He can explode through tacklers. He made several wow plays in these games. He drives small-window hole shots (between CB and safety playing Cover 2) from the far hash and flashes the ability to make some incredible cross-body throws on the move. Willis looks like he playing 2 hand touch when he’s in the pocket!!!!! He’s the best I’ve seen escape in the pocket in a while. He’s on Russel Wilson’s level of feeling blind side pressure and keeping his eyes down the field while he’s buying time in the pocket. He does more than running the ball with his athleticism.

How's D.Arnold looking? Who's getting more reps with the one's?
