I feel like YOU, not you per se, but your overall thinking is why Darnold isn't being showcased out there as of yet, if he fails earlier, and PJ's been the answer the whole time, how dumb do you actually look...??? Once again not attacking you personally, like you're doing a member of this team but hey that gives me a right to talk about Sam....smilez
-
yeah that's a good way to install YOUR CULTURE, correct??? . but on another note... He talked about seeing Will throw more. That's a good sign...but also telling about how much less Sam is actually being discuss getting reps in-game situations...shouldn't the QB who just got the playbook, get more. I mean, what haven't they not seen from Will at this point? he was here all last season.

The difference, CMC actually is good...but Coaches and executives look at the preseason as a buffet line for these types of players — the guys who, based on their preseason performances, prove that they’re ready to help out by any means necessary. Now that the first week of the 2021 preseason is in the books, here are the Secret Superstars who might be on their ways to unexpected roster spots… or perhaps even starting spots. Yes, it’s the preseason, but if you superimposed this play over one of Russell Wilson’s more daring red zone throws, there wouldn’t be much difference. Was Chuba being compared to one of the best RB's in the league?, pretty Fittin' huh...

Okay, first if all, I apologize to the mods for another thread treading the same topic over and over. But after reading this, from a non-Carolina fan, where's there's smoke.... Now, I wanted to make it a poll, PJ or Sam... simple, who do you have more faith in as a fan, not what anyone else thoughts, like coaches, reporters, etc...but your honest opinion. This is the off season regardless how this season goes, good or bad, we in it together. Alot of people like to talk the talk, use others opinions as facts, so who's willingly to walk the walk. Let's have fun, if you on the fence cool...but there's clearly a division amongst us when it comes to how we deal with the QB position. You have to be a fool to think not one person in that locker room thinks PJ deserves his shot ...can they openly say anything right now, no, but you can see, almost feel the energy because that's hope, inspirational.....

Luke Kuechly in Buffalo Bills gear
CPsinceDay1 replied to Carl Spackler's topic in Carolina Panthers
Anyone know the odds on the bills to win the Superbowl??? I mean, that is the last nail in the coffin right.... -
Haynes might be the reason Gross is being viewed as underused.

Thursday after practice: Reporters: Are the starters playing Saturday? Rhule: You know, there's still a chance, obviously, we have to see, our OL depth is nursing, I mean our starting 5 could very well be nursing, and I want those guys fresh, Reporters: Lamar's starting....is Sam? Rhule: I mean, Horn's going get some reps, so yeah, you definitely going see some starters come Saturday.

Beuerlein haha, Weinke, there was false hope there, Moore, your wanted it but the team was no where near as talented, K.Allen was just fool's gold bc some folks hated Cam. I would love to hear Delhomme's point of view on PJ, I'm quite sure, many of us would be surprise at his take
-
If you think PJ is garbage, you must really believe Sam Dumpster Juice....
-
Some people just can't imagine an Undrafted, Undersized, QB winning multiple Superbowls...guess you at least have to go in the 6th round

I'm Team PJ>Darnold...ride/die, right/wrong...but to give an accurate response... I think the media would force Tepper to overRhule any decision. An 0-4 start, and Darnold doesn't looked the part. Folks remember playmakers, PJ's putting up some decent highlights, if he continues throughout preseason, add the XFL highlights, there's going to be some rumbles as to if he should get a fair shake... Now, here's the big dilemma, PJ, takes over, the season not lost, but he leads us to say a playoff berth. Questions once again are going to rise....What to do with Sam? Your now starting QB is making less than the backup, and has 1 year left on the contract. Are you now confident in PJ, or was it a fluke season??? It can seem to create more problems, or PJ could be the last missing piece to the puzzle. If you want to live an easy going Panther's life as a fan, then drink Britain's tea, hope the powers that be change their ways or welcome to Charlotte's Tea Party, were us die hard fans since day1, , are going to gripe, b"tch, moan, until we see some "just"ice on the "field". You promised us no more mediocrity and let go of one of this generations best talent in Cam for Teddy, then traded for a QB who perform worse than Teddy that year/ and many folks around the NFL have proclaimed a bust before said trade{after the trade, it's Carolina, a good fit...plz had he been traded to DET, DET would've took a QB in the draft...u know just saying. Cam could've finished out the year before, for all that...No one should be giving a starting job, except maybe CMC, Moton, Paradis, DJ, Robbie on offense...who have perform for this team time after time. Not based on what if's... PJ and the Panthers 1-0....Sam Darnold and the Panthers 0-0 we shall see.. I like how the team responds with PJ in the game, when I finally get to see Darnold take snaps, I will give an honest opinion. But if the energy anywhere near Grier's and the 3rdstring with Darnold and 1st sting...oh boy. If Darnold surprises me, I mean, beat the Jets, do that first. Beat, who they say, held you back Sam...prove the haters wrong, PJ loves doing that. Here's looking at you Mr.Scot PJ played good for not getting that many reps in practice, I mean PJ showed he can go a game without turning it over so for Darnold getting all this practice with the one's should be no problem, right,...but of course there will be, and of course the excuses will follow... And another thing, PJ was a Panther before Darnold but the loyalty to a Jet QB who hasn't even taking a snap for us is mind blogging. I get it, you tired, you really need him to be the answer. I for one, am cool, Sam wins We all Win, Sam lose, PJ wins, We all Win, Sam lose, PJ lose, We draft Malik Willis, We all Win

Rhule was trying to "hold" the lead today ?
CPsinceDay1 replied to JABANOG's topic in Carolina Panthers
...? Did you want to make a small wager on that??? I mean, if I wasn't clear the first time I asked A friendly one, if u don't got the $...times r hard for everyone...say loser can't post until regular season starts/ or new avatar until season starts...I stand behind my words I mean Darnold throws one pick it's kinda over for you...so think about it -
Who was the best Carolina Panthers player today?
CPsinceDay1 replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
I must've....I know I my pockets says different... -
I think the more reps he gets with the receivers, that can be fixed. Around the 1 min mark, in his postgame, there's a question about which throw he wish he could've taken back...both to Zylstra, on the deep corner route, he "wished Zylstra would've took it further back, because there was no one behind him, instead of taking it to the sidelines" But Zylstra made the smart play for the situation....***this... being able to identity n acknowledge both perspectives....**** Leadership qualities... No 1 placing blame but figuring out what's what...
-
I respect your opinion, although he clearly answer to the question of backup material at least yesterday for that matter... History kinda says more likely a pick 6 if Darnold was throwing it, I mean that's what I heard what was happening during practice all week...see what happens when u come for my boy....
-
Truthfully, when you trading for Sam Darnold...does your season really ever start... Ok, that was my last hot take....I kid, I kid...
-
And to be fair, I only throw shots at any other QB when shots are thrown at PJ. I mean some of us, just don't like the others choice right now. Hopefully one of us is right and the team benefits... Take Mr.Scot, for example...he clearly said PJ ain't a NFL QB...he's been ducking.... But I'm still here quacking until Darnold shows something in a game like setting. You know when he knows he ain't been protected like a baby So prove me wrong Darnold... that's all. Won't speak on him, until he plays a snap in preseason but something tells me Will going look better than him...oh boy what then Oyeah, I don't wanna hear bout o-line excuses either...u create when there's nothing there....
-
Hey, I made a statement in regards to Darnold being garbage, before we even traded for him... haven't changed my stand on it, some felt the need to bet against my ideal Darnold is just not that good. I was never hoping, I for one, am sticking my neck out there for PJ,I based my gambling on logical critical thinking ...if my teams wins and the process of Darnold throwing +10 int before week 4...so be it..win/win. If Darnold just sucks, n my team losing because of it...damn right I want something back for investing my time into this team. That's just good business But I never liked Darnold, he screw me out of a Fantasy Championship...the man got me -4 pts.... I could've had any QB on the bench n got 0 pts...and won, I lost by 2pts by the way. You say petty...I say fool me once...

I think Rhule wanted to see if your QB went down, with a lead, could Grier n co. This wasn't just all on him(Will) but the team's overall reaction, Brady's Play calling, etc.. would they be able to hold a lead, could the defense prevent a comeback, if not where was our weak spots ....so I don't mind the ice the game approach...as pointed out by -
right....so I take it Burns can't hit his Spidey pose after a sack strip fumble.....

Football fans were vocally upset on Twitter, Sunday, after seeing the new NFL taunting rules implemented during the first week of the preseason. A call on Indianapolis Colts running back Benny LeMay, in particular, made the rounds online. During the 3rd quarter of the Colts matchup with the Carolina Panthers, LeMay broke free on a run that ended with him carrying a pile of defenders for about 10 extra yards. Afterward, he subtly flexed in front of the defenders and a flag was thrown. "Just awful no one wants this," one fan wrote. "If you cant flex on em after dragging dudes 10 yards why even play?" A Colts beat writer wrote: "No Fun League strikes again with a taunting penalty against fourth-string RB Benny LeMay, who had the audacity to be excited about his 14-yard run." The increased effort to crack down on taunting, this year, will target “baiting or taunting acts or words” and “abusive, threatening or insulting language or gestures," according to the NFL’s unsportsmanlike conduct rules. “The N.F.L. Players Association, coaches and competition committee have all made a strong statement regarding respect among everyone on the field,” the NFL recently said in a statement. “We saw an increase in actions that clearly are not within the spirit and intent of this rule and not representative of the respect to opponents and others on the field.”
