Drafting BY over Stroud
I’d add the following:
- Scott Fitterer
- the QB panic carousel fiasco e.g. Sam Darnold and Baker Mayfield
- the Brian Burns trade failure
- the disaster that was Frank Reich and the ‘Hunger Games’ culture

It is an epidemic in the NBA. Most "teams" are a collection of selfish players who have no idea how to actually play like a team. I thought Lee would bring some accountability, but it seems that these guys have reverted back to selfish play.
SOMEONE needs to humble these idiots or this team will become unwatchable once again.
They’ve already become unwatchable but your point is well made. Something has to change and fast if we are to avoid another lost season. Losing to the Wiz is unacceptable.

Hornets lose to the worse team in the NBA. I don’t know what the problem is, but they need to figure it out. This is absolutely pathetic for all the talent we supposedly have.

Exactly. It was an obvious hose job. Panthers should’ve won that game and the refs screwed us. Still pissed about it. To suggest that penalty set us back years is pretty silly considering all the other major screw ups committed by Tepper.

I dont watch college football at all but I get into the draft reading all the scouting reports... I dont feel comfortable with Hunter..
1. I feel like its a luxury pick.
2. We have tried and failed with gimmicky players before. Im not saying they dont work but taking that type of player as high as he is supposed to go seems too rich for this team.
Honestly I think we should trade down, get a #1 pick next year. We have so many needs on defense we need a lot of bodies there. Trade down, set us up for next year and get bodies to compete.I agree . With the roster in the shape it’s in, especially on the defensive side, Hunter is a luxury pick. We have far too many needs that should br addressed in the upcoming draft.

That was a BS call. The refs absolutely robbed us on that one. Earlier this season, one of the Chargers’ defenders removed his helmet immediately after intercepting a pass in the EZ. And no flag!!! Can’t tell me the refs didn’t screw us on the DJ call.

Agree. Take best available and draft a QB next year
Our D is a greater concern. We need a talent infusion on that side of the ball in the worse way. And we could use a little more talent on offense as well. QB should be the least of our worries this offseason.

LT has to be a position upgrade in the next few seasons.

Could that play have gone to anybody but Thielen? Anybody?
Should’ve gone to Thompkins

Think the guys got too full of themselves after all the media love and being favored for the 1st time in awhile.
We’re playing in reverse right now.- 1

Back in July, Lady Cowboy Fan and I bought tickets to today's game, booked a hotel within walking distance and have been staying in Charlotte since Friday.
Unfortunately, as of right now, I'm too sick to make the journey and probably too weakened to sit through a full game outside.
It's sad because she's done everything she can to help and support me, but I'm just not up to it.
Instead, it looks like we'll be watching from about six blocks away.
My issues ruin a lot of good things
No worries, Mr. Scot….Keep Pounding and may you continue to rest and recover.

I like Mason Graham as a player but with a'shawn robinson playing well and already under contract for 2 more seasons I don't see the need for him. This team needs a true NT not another 3-4 DE.
I agree. Wouldn’t sleep on his DL mate Kenneth Grant. At 6’4 340lbs, he’s more of a true NT than Graham, based on their bios. Either would be welcome additions, Grant in the middle paired with Brown and Robinson would do wonders for our run defense.

This is not a popular take so flame away: the recent developments re Jonathan Brooks has yet again thrown the RB room in a state of flux, and that’s not good for a team that relies heavily on the running game. With a potential for another lost season in rehab if not longer, a blue chip prospect like Ashton Jeanty cannot and should not be off the table especially if he’s BPA. This guy is gonna be a beast with loads of potential. Bank on it.

Hornets put up a good fight but have to learn to finish. Silver lining is the young bench players are getting much needed playing time and valuable experience.

Ian Thomas will never be released!
LOL…Thomas is in the last year of his contract. If we resign him, there should be rioting on the grounds of the Bank.

Incredible job by Brandt Tilis. Maybe Tepper has finally hired the right group and will stay out of the way.
For reference, Dead Money for the past few seasons:
2021: $53.9M
2022: $52.4M
2023: $62.1M
2024: $69.3M
2025: $1.9M
All that waste and ineptitude for 17 wins over the past 63 games...
Fitterer deserves to be extradited back to CLT to stand trial for war crimes against this franchise.
The one caveat is we'll never know how much meddling Tepper actually did, but the results speak for themselves... one of the worst GM tenures in NFL history.
Look at this nonsense from this season alone in dead money:
Von Bell: $9.9M
Hayden Hurst: $9.8M
Donte Jackson: $9.7M
Diontae Johnson: $9.4M
Bradley Bozeman: $7.2M
Justin Houston: $3.8M
DJ Chark: $3.1M
Just such organizational dysfunction, from top to bottom. These weren't even good players.
That 2025 dead money number will go up some with the probable release of Miles Sanders, Ian Thomas, etc., but nothing even remotely close to the sheer recklessness and stupidity of the Fitterer Era.
Hopefully, we will look back in a few years and see this as the moment where we started to reemerge from the abyss...
One can hope... Keep Pounding!!
Great breakdown of the dead money although Diontae Johnson was signed by Morgan. But you’re right - tremendous job by Tillis and hope this is a sign that Tepper is backing away and letting the experts stir the ship.

Thielen still has a decent amount left in the tank. He's far from washed, and plays like yesterday, or even the Raiders TD where he hurt himself show that. He's the vet presence we need to keep around next year, because then...
Sign Higgins or draft TMac
Thielen
XL
Coker
JT/Tremble/FA TE
Brooks out of the backfield
Welcome to our best group of weapons since...2011?
I hear ya but we’re not getting Higgins. Better off getting our potential #1 WR in the draft. We desperately need to improve our D.

Someone was pretty blatantly holding Jewell on that TD run
They were blatantly holding the whole drive. Looked like a block in the back on Fuller during that tunnel screen to Shepard also.
WR Diontae Johnson to Ravens
in Carolina Panthers

This guy was apparently such a pain in the arse the Panthers were justifiably desperate to get rid of him for a $5 dollar footlong. Morgan looking like a genius now with this latest news.
