  1. Here’s a quote from the Rookies Diaries article on Panthers.com: Panthers head coach Matt Rhule said he wants to keep a realistic goal about Brown's target weight, knowing that his frame is not conducive to being too lean. "I don't think he's ever going to be a 310-pound guy," Rhule said. "That's just not who he is. He's a big, powerful man. . . . "I would love it if he was in the, ... most guys wish he'd be in the 330s, but he might be a 340-pound guy." Based on this info, keeping his weight in the 330-340 range is a realistic goal. I’m excited about his and Moore’s potential to be fixtures on the OL for years to come. Our IOL has been weak for far too long.
  2. Encouraging to hear he’s been working Hall of Fame legend Bruce Matthews. Moore is diamond in the rough with great potential. I think we have our future Center.
  3. LOL...Oh yeah. Remember him once telling them: “You guys are killing me, but I won’t die alone”. Good times!
  4. That’s assuming the information came from a Saints’ scout. I found this tidbit from Gantt’s piece on Panthers.com interesting: There's a real division of labor when it comes to trade calls. Stewart has relationships in a number of front offices from his time with the Patriots and Eagles. Suleiman spent long stretches with the Steelers and Rams so he knows lots of guys. Allen's been here long enough to have developed plenty of contacts throughout the league. Based on their contacts and relationships throughout the League, it’s likely a scout from another team the Saints contacted previously tipped the Panthers off. Remember, these guys had been diligently working the phones and eventually you learn things. I’m just happy to finally see the Panthers playing chess instead of checkers for a change.
  5. It’s a refreshing change eh? Nice to be one or two steps ahead...this is what a professional organization looks like.
  6. I think the season is taking its toll with the injuries. Depth is an issue right now and these guys are gassed. Hope we can at least hold onto that 8th spot.
  7. Found a good article on the Dolphins’ team site. https://www.miamidolphins.com/news/bobby-mccain-a-leader-on-and-off-the-field 6 year veteran with high character on/off the field good production and experience. As someone said, it would depend on the asking price but he’d appear to be a great fit.
  8. Let me guess...no more hand drawn pie charts? That image of JR with that “pie chart” will be stay with me indefinitely.
  9. I know we played the night before but this is embarrassingly pathetic
  10. Hot Damn!!!! Love this pick. Not sure why he lasted this long but so glad we got him. Eventual replacement for KK.
  11. Probably was looking at Trey Sermon. Went to the 9ers just before our pick.
  12. They signed Melvin Gordon last year. Released Lindsay a few weeks back.
  13. This. As a fan base we’ve gotten so used to mediocrity and disappointment. If you’re paying close attention, you’ll see this is quite different.
  14. True but it won’t matter much if you can’t stop anyone. And though Rhule is known as an offensive guy, he values good defensive play. And our defense requires the physical Mano y Mano type to be successful.
  15. Not to mention the NFL bloodlines. He’s been groomed for this moment. Now he needs to build on his potential and I don’t think we would’ve taken him that high if we didn’t think he could.
  16. Actually we beefed up our secondary to defend against Mike Evans, Michael Turner, Chris Godwin, Calvin Ridley, Julio Jones (if he isn’t traded) and now Kyle Pitts. Rhule said our biggest problem was not getting off the field on 3rd downs. Hopefully Horn gives us a fighting chance back there.
