    Ground can’t cause a fumble. He lost the ball after he hit the ground. That said, refs will probably over this in favor of the Saints.

    Would love to pick him up for the PS at least. Good bloodlines and insurance in case Hubbard walks next season.

    Having a rookie basically red-shirted RB allows us to extend Hubbard with a contract commensurate of a backup RB, which is where he’s most effective IMO. He and Brooks would make a dynamic duo in our offense. Of course that depends if Hubbard wants to stay or go for a starting role elsewhere after this season.

    Wouldn’t mind grabbing Ika for the PS. Size and potential would provide depth @ DT with coaching.

    No surprise here. Talented but underachieving DB. Which means we’ll probably sign him.

    If we hadn’t taken him then Dallas definitely would’ve. We got a decent stable of backs to rely on until he’s fully recovered and ready. Brooks has the potential to be a star in the mold of Jamaal Charles (another Longhorn and HOF RB) if we do this right.

    I see us on a similar trajectory as the Detroit Lions. We’ll take our lumps this upcoming season, with steady improvement mid to late season. This season is about building for 2025 and beyond.

    The 2024 season will be one long preseason but it needs to happen. Our FO has been screwing us on talent for too long and chickens have come home to roost. Rome wasn’t built in a day. We have to be patient while the Panthers build this team the right way (I hope).

    If he clears waivers he gets place on IR so he may still have a chance to stay with the Panthers, if I understand it correctly.

    The “point guard” hype to sell us on Bryce Young last year was ridiculous and embarrassing. I am pulling for him to have a better season.

    My sights are set on Deonte Walker also. A freak of an athlete @ 6’6” 350 lbs - imagine him on our DL flanked by Brown and Robinson. It would be a nightmare for opposing OL and OC’s. He’s also got that ‘dawg’ mentality that Morgan and co are looking for from what I’ve read.

    Everytime I see this it makes me mad. We were absolutely robbed! Tremendous play though.
