  1. This is an awesome family photo! Glad to have you back in the fold, Boze!
  2. You’re probably right. I read somewhere that he was a 49ers fan growing up but I can’t confirm the source or hometown right now.
  3. Good for him. Gets to play for his hometown team. Wish him the best as he returns home.
  4. This was probably the determining factor for us including DJ in the trade. Deals for Bozeman, Burns are looming and we need all the cap space we can get. Moore was likely the most valuable asset we had and adding him kept the compensation to the Bears doable for the 1st pick.
  5. Stafford’s recent injuries indicate he’s hitting the downside of his career which may explain the Rams’ potential interest in trading him. His salary will make this a prohibitive as well.
  6. He’d be a great compliment to Burns. History with Ejiro is an advantage. May be tricky though since we’ll also need to extend Burns.
  7. I’d rather have Leonard Floyd. Is he a FA?
  8. I’d rather we wait and see what the Colts may do with Jonathan Taylor. An article a few weeks back (no link) expects them to try and trade him. He’d be worth a 3rd rounder at best and would add another strong runner to complement Hubbard if it happened. JMO
  9. These interviews are making Rhule’s pressers an increasingly distant memory. Scott F referred to “a change in culture”, and you definitely get that sense from listening to him, Reich and other staffers. The future is indeed bright in Carolina!
  10. These interviews have been awesome. Really shows the commitment from Tepper on down to build a perennial winner in Carolina. I’m absolutely here for it. And in the words of Lizzo, “it’s about damn time!”.
  11. Same here. And JJ III has a background with our new DC and DB coach which gives us a player familiar with this 3-4 scheme. Makes sense all around.
  12. Would be a great pickup as a true FS to complement Chinn. His versatility of playing in the box would give us flexibility in the backend.
  13. After seeing what Mac Jones tried to do to multiple defensive players, including our own Brian Burns, a rougher the passer penalty in the “Kris Jenkins spleen crush hit” mode would be not only worth it but totally justified. Sorry I’m not usually this morbid but Jones is a total POS for dirty play. Should be putting that energy into becoming a better QB.
  14. DreMont Jones? Absolutely! I’d pass on JuJu.
  15. You’re alright in my book CnC. Thanks for keeping us Huddlers informed.
  16. Still awaiting strength & conditioning staff as well.
  17. Well said good sir. These press conferences have honestly given me chills I can’t remember a time when we’ve had this level of intelligence and articulation displayed by our coaching staff. And I’m so looking forward to seeing how this translates to the field. It will be a welcome change to spend my Sundays watching a truly professional well-coached football that plays to win.
  18. Good points. I’m just excited to finally see some strategic defensive playcalling for a change. Should be fun seeing Evero and Capers move these chess pieces around.
  19. Based on what I’ve read Brown would fit the DE role in a 3-4 scheme better but I’m sure he’d also continue to play NT in a multi-scheme/traditional 4-3 if needed.
  20. I have a feeling Brown, Burns and YGM will thrive in this defense. If we can get a true NT that fits this scheme in the draft and FA, we’re going to be really good.
  21. I think the hiring of Parks Frazier as passing game coordinator may have closed the door on that but you never know.
  22. Hard to do that with the QB carousel we’ve had since he’s been here. It’s a miracle he’s performed as well as he has.
