Agreed. We sorta painted ourselves into a corner with Burns when we turned down the Rams’ offer last year. The salary cap bump buys us a little more time.
-
I’m sure Clifford doesn’t want to rush Melo or MW back before they’re truly ready. The flow and improved team chemistry since the trade deadline gives us the luxury to work the new guys in while allowing both to focus on getting healthy for this season and beyond.
-
I’m not sure the ankle issues will ever be “fixed”. It wouldn’t be a bad idea to explore the possibilities of a trade for Ball. We’ll be picking high enough in the draft to acquire a viable replacement and with additional draft capital we can continue to build around Miller.
-
Hard for me to say, but we may be better off trading Ball in the offseason. For all the swag and highlight plays, the kid can’t seem to stay healthy and appears to be part of the problem. The team really needs a complete culture makeover. No one outside of Miller and maybe Bridges appears to care about winning. JMO.

With the exception of Moose, Smith and DJ Moore, I have to agree here.
-
I think he’d be worth a late rounder at least - 6th or 7th. He’s still young with good size and athleticism. He’s still on his rookie deal. The problem is between his ears IMO. Maybe a change of scenery is needed.
-
I think the team needs to unload TMJ this offseason. Dude is Devin Funchess-level soft. Both of them can hit the road but I’d keep Chark if given the choice.
-
I guess some of these guys forgot about John Fox and his legendary gum-chewing.

This is true but we simply can’t force the man to stay if he wants to go elsewhere. Not a good look for an organization that already has a tarnished image, it could potentially divide the locker room and sabotage the season of our rookie HC. Best case scenario would be trading him to the highest bidder for draft capital and keep it moving.
-
At least he landed on his feet elsewhere. Really feel for Brown and othe coaches that got screwed here due to Tepper’s incompetence.
-
Which is why I’m glad the Panthers balked at paying Burns top DE money. Fitt was crazy not to take the Rams up on that trade offer last year.
-
It will be. Lions pulled out a tough win against the Chiefs week 1. Both teams playing their best ball of the season going into the SB.
-
Ben Johnson’s playcalling making me re-think the Canales hiring. Lions are killing it!!!
-
Yup run D getting exposed. Wilks’ struggles continues.

Tony Pauline: Campen was Tepper's "eyes and ears"
Prowler2k18 replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
Agreed. Maybe if Campen wasn’t tasked with being a team mole, he would’ve focused more energy in getting the OL to play better. I hate hd had to lose his job though as this is squarely on Tepper. -
But is that all on Chinn or lack of coaching and/or development?
-
It’s another reason I wouldn’t have a problem going full reset with the whole staff. I like Evero but we need a culture change to move this franchise forward. For the record, I’d be fine either way.
-
Watching Hamilton play like a man possessed makes me wonder why we can’t get similar play out of Chinn. Evero’s D played well under the circumstances but the failure to develop Chinn the past few years has been disappointing.
-
Looks like we found one of Tepper’s moles. There needs to be a purge of the staff and roster if we’re to ever move beyond the “Hunger Games” stigma permeating this organization.
-
He was a better DL coach than DC but everyone deserves a 2nd chance.
-
Appears Tepper is learning from his mistakes and letting Canales chose his own staff. Hadn’t heard anything about the defensive staff most notably Evero so I’m hoping that’s a good sign.
-
Stil think BJ will be headed to DC but this definitely helps our chances.
-
If recent reports are true, it’s probably more about the front office restructuring and bringing in someone that can wear multiple hats e.g. personnel, contracts, analytics, etc. Thus the interest in Halaby from Philly, Tilis from KC and Matteo from Baltimore. All from successful organization and considered up-and-comers in League circles. I’m good with Tilis or Matteo.

They’re saying the Hornets may buyout Lowry’s contract.
