  1. I agree. Richardson to me is Cam 2.0. Athletically superior to the other QBs in this draft but a project. The difference with Cam was he not was only similarly gifted physically but the best QB in 2011 draft. This time, there are a few NFL ready QBs whose skill set are ahead of Richardson at this point. Wouldn’t have been upset at all if we considered him at #9. At the top position we gotta go with Stroud or Young.
  2. High character players with football intelligence=the new OOU
  3. Wouldn’t surprise me at all. Kid deserves an ideal situation for all he’s been through. Hoping nothing but the best for him, and happy we’ve both moved on.
  4. The Raiders game his rookie year was when I became a fan. He got pissed for being erroneously called for an illegal hit. He absolutely took over that game. He was laying out dudes left and right. To watch him dissect plays and chase down ball carriers was a delight. Broke my heart when he had to hang it up.
  5. Had to be with Rhule having the final say on roster decisions. I’m sure we’ll never know much tension and frustration there was having to acquiesce to Rhule’s ineptness. Glad those days are over.
  6. I’d like to see us make an offer to Leonard Floyd. Good compliment to Burns and added depth on the edge. Plus a background in Evero’s defense.
  7. Baker Street…now there’s a classic. And the sax play is incomparable!
  8. So looking forward to the Panthers consistently playing like a true professional football team on both sides of the ball. No more of this feed-the-stud, run-run-pass approach on offense and hope to God no more bend-don’t- break, 10 yard cushion while rushing 3 or 4 on defense. It’s a new day at last!
  9. Thielen….nothing more than Thielen
  10. I’m sure I’m in the minority but Hopkins scares me more than Chark due to age and injury history alone. I’m not sure he would want to come here at this stage of his career and a rookie QB but that’s just my speculation.
  11. If we’re going for 2 WRs, I’d rather we go with Hardman and Thielen. Chark’s injury history worries me.
  12. I’m hoping another suitor or two will emerge. A Hawks minority owner and Plotkin doesn’t inspire much excitement from me.
  13. Seems to be defining his role in Reich’s offense which is primarily what he does best - blocking. Great move to adjust his salary accordingly.
  14. Damn. I was hoping we’d make a run at him as a replacement for Moore.
  15. Someone mentioned Darius Slayton in this or another thread. Based on his highlight reel, he looks like a decent replacement for DJ Moore. For RB depth, we could grab Rodriguez out of Kentucky (or a similar style rusher) in the later rounds to complement Sanders and Hubbard if we don’t bring Foreman back. UPDATE: Slayton reportedly signing with the Falcons. There goes that idea.
  16. Yeah this one and DJax is on Fitt though I’m sure they were signed at Rhule’s insistence. Got to give credit to Tepper for finally recognizing Rhule was a mistake and proceeding accordingly. This has been the most intriguing offseason in years.
  17. And it’s just reported that Thomas has taken a pay cut. Go figure!
  18. It’s certainly possible but unlikely due to the cap hit. He’s also our best blocking TE which isn’t saying much. If we were able to get a better blocking TE in the draft e.g. that monster TE out of GA, then I’d certainly be comfortable bidding farewell to Thomas.
  19. I can see Tremble being used in a hybrid HB/TE role while Thomas and Hurst are used in 2TE sets. Ricci and Sullivan may be odd men out and fighting for a final spot.
  20. I’d consider TY Hilton before either of these two.
  21. Read a report that KC is working out a deal with him. Can’t say I blame him if true.
  22. This is an awesome family photo! Glad to have you back in the fold, Boze!
  23. You’re probably right. I read somewhere that he was a 49ers fan growing up but I can’t confirm the source or hometown right now.
