  1. We had the opportunity to scout him extensively during the draft process. I’m sure that knowledge is helping us keep him in check.
  2. I think the Panthers should just roll with what they have. We’re not a playoff team as currently constructed. Any acquisition will mean giving up valuable draft capital that we could probably ill-afford to lose. Trading away future assets is what’s gotten us into this mess.
  3. Tepper’s impatience and resulting desperation are the reasons we’re in this mess. The dizzying quarterback carousel we’ve had to endure since he took over is squarely on his shoulders and now a promising young QB will potentially be ruined due to lack of roster talent and incompetence. I have a feeling this rapidly spiraling season is what it will have to take for him to learn the hard way - trust the people you hire to make football decisions and back off.
  4. Best solution for all involved. And to Kai Jones, wishing you the best and, in the words of our former majority owner……. Seriously, get some help young man. You got your whole life ahead of you to enjoy!
  5. Don’t have to worry about that. I do agree with the Tua/Young comparisons specifically their stages of development. And while I still think we should’ve taken Stroud, Wonderlic or whatever competency test results be damned, there’s no guarantee he would fare any better with the current state of our roster. Nothing we can do about it. We have to be patient and give Young time. Remember - trust the process I’ll see myself out
  6. Me neither. The one that needs to be fired is the owner but that’s obviously not happening. Tepper’s impatience and resulting desperation has brought us here. We are more than one or two players away and it’s going to take multiple seasons to get where we hope to be.
  7. Hayden Hurst agrees. Hope this mistake corrects itself at the end of the season.
  8. We are quickly becoming an extra bye week for our opponents. Making career days for backups across the League - that’s the “way of the Panthers”
  9. Believe me, his blocking is not much better than his receiving. This guy is an underachiever that s/h never been re-signed considering lack f production and off-the-field indiscretions at the time. Another of the countless ways Rhule screwed us.
  10. I’d say we’d have at least 1 win under our belts, maybe we’d be 2-3 but no better. Most of our issues have been on the offensive side of the ball, even before the injuries started piling up.
  11. Prayers up for Zavala. Glad it wasn’t as serious as we feared. Regarding his play on the me field, he showed much better standing in at RG than when he was switched to the left side. It can’t be easy for a rookie to make an adjustment from playing one side of the line to the other so early in the season and without sufficient reps (remember he was limited in TC due injury), even if it was the position he played in college. That said, this may injury be a blessing in disguise, as Mays played better @ LG and “Doc Throck” has filled in capably @ RG, which means we don’t have to rush Corbitt back until he’s healthy.
  12. Yet another game watching Henderson getting toasted.
  13. Exactly. Tepper’s lack of impulse control and patience is a big reason we’re in this mess. Joe Person’s article in The Athletic stated the Panthers should embrace a rebuild (which IMO we should’ve done after Rivera was fired), but the man doesn’t appear to have a long term vision for the team. Just win NOW.
  14. And they will probably do it by running the early and often on our porous run D.
  15. Yeah it’s been a domino effect of errors since Tepper bought the team. We just can’t seem to get out of our own way.
  16. Meanwhile Sam Howell (who we should’ve taken last year instead of out of the league Matt Corral) is looking like a gamer guiding the Commandos to a tying score against the Eagles. Thanks Tepper!
  17. New staff, new QB, same old Panthers’ predictable, conservative Jr high offense
  18. Couldn’t agree with you more. But injuries in the secondary mean he stick around. He should definitely be his last season here.
  19. The Vikings come to town @ 0-3. There is a sliver of hope. Maybe….
