So what’s Greg Hardy up to these days
RenoCarolina replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Huddle Lounge
I always liked Greg Hardy before he lost his damn mind. -
Panthers have one of NFL's most 'obsessive' fanbases

If they had included a question about all black uniforms I could see it. -
A short Panther history and our new QB
RenoCarolina replied to ladypanther's topic in Carolina Panthers
Well thought out post! Maybe title should be A History of Short Panthers with Big Charisma They called Sam Mills "The General" for a reason and I totally see Bryce taking that role. But he is too sharp to call attention to that role now, he knows he has to earn that role on the field. -
I think the smart FA's are also happy to wait till after the draft to get best fit and best playing time options

Just let the huddle huddle. Let your freak flag fly. I don’t come here to see ban hammers. It’s not like “perma bans” work. Just skip over the stupid stuff

His response to TheBigKat's thread proves otherwise. If there was ever a cow to milk they forgot the bucket. I've been a member since the beginning and the two trips I took to Jacksonville and London were fugging priceless. So come take my money RR! Only complaint is the focus on alcohol but you have to know your target market!

Zack and Josh and team plus all the chapter guys do such a great job. Looking forward to the news.

BH's Time Waster: Panthers Analysis & Full 2-Round Mock
RenoCarolina replied to Bear Hands's topic in Carolina Panthers
I just get the feeling that Hooker is moving ahead of Levis. Also I'm sure you did a lot of research on that DET trade back but it sure doesn't look like they gave up enough to move up 11 spots. I would be miffed. -
Albert Breer: Bryce Young scored 98 on his S2 teat
RenoCarolina replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
My long term loss of short term memory would equal an easy flunking of this test. No matter how many times I took it. -
Anthony Richardson “knocked” S2 cognitive test “out of the park”.
RenoCarolina replied to DFive's topic in Carolina Panthers
He and Cam do have shared qualities so I get the comparisons. I love and loved Cam as a Panther. But accuracy has to be at the top of the list for #1 overall and that is why I can't see anyone other than Young or possibly Stroud as our pick. Trading down? My heart would not be able to take that! -
I thought that was weird also. I know their has to be a sensitivity to the organization's commitment to racial diversity, especially due to passing over Wilks for Reich. And it sounds like Drummond is on the ball enough to realize he was no longer in the future plans so kudo's to him for recognizing that and moving on. Best of luck to him.

Been there, done that with my mom. Tough time but can also be a blessing for both of you. I hope this assessment gets pinned.

I started out thinking, "this guy has too much free time". But that quickly changed to appreciation. Add in the fact that it isn't a Young/Stroud smokescreen thread and the day is looking pretty good! I hope we go edge at 39 but worry the value won't be there. So many teams need edge rushers.

Peter King: Bryce Young inching closer to Carolina
RenoCarolina replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
The only reason for the drama is a) we agreed to play the media game with NFL to draw and keep interest in the draft or b) we want Stroud or are legit "ok" with either enough to trade back with Houston and score more draft capital. The more I hear Young is the pick the more I am leaning to "B". -

NFL insider Jordan Schultz on the #1 pick
RenoCarolina replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Anyone remember the old days before the rookie salary cap? In This situation we would be putting agent against agent to get best deal and agree before the draft. Not exactly made for tv drama but effective. -
Pauline believes it's Stroud, but Reich wants AR

Did Reich sell Tepper on another 7 year plan? -
Dolphins WR Cedric Wilson on the trading block
RenoCarolina replied to musicman's topic in Carolina Panthers
Whoa! We are expecting this? I mean, he has the pedigree and the physical tools but I don’t remember getting overwhelmed by anything he’s accomplished on the field so far? What am I missing? -
I’m like a lot of posters that go back and forth. Trying to resist the notion that Young is the pick from your gut vs Stroud as the pick with your head. I’m tapping out and trusting the staff. That’s my gut pick right now. Confident it is one of those two though.

I'm on record as being ok with either of them. But if I was a betting man, I don't think Tepper signed off on moving up and trading DJ just to take the safer pick (CJ). Rhule was a mistake, sure, but one multiple teams were ready to make. Tepper flew down there and got his man. This time it is evident he has learned from that fiasco and I do think he is taking a lot of advice from his new staff. But when the final decision is made I am becoming more and more certain it will by Young. Guys with brass balls don't take the safe pick.
