If picks get you upset do not go to this site; https://nflpickwatch.com/ Top picker is at 75% and choses Panthers. But of all the Carolina Huddle pick'em experts, Mr. Scot's Parrot is tied for first at 71.43% Most of the "experts" picking the boys are right 65% of the time

We will miss CMC on picking up blitzers too. My main apprehension on that side of the ball is continuing to limit turnovers.

Charlton questions and ST's needed improvement
RenoCarolina replied to RenoCarolina's topic in Carolina Panthers
Rooting for Chase and he has a lot to fix. The best special teams are the one's that stay consistent and with this young team and under-performing specialists there are a lot of holes in the dike. -
Charlton questions and ST's needed improvement
RenoCarolina replied to RenoCarolina's topic in Carolina Panthers
Special teams have not been special but just wanted to give a quick shoutout to Erickson. I think he has done a tremendous job of stepping in and making smart, sure decisions on kick returns. Hope Shi Smith is taking notes because that could have been him making a key 3rd quarter reception instead of Erickson. -
With all the angst over our FG kicker I have kind of forgotten about Charlton. After a pretty good rookie season (won NFC ST player of the week last year against WFT)... I just assumed he would keep getting better. But his kicks are consistently underwhelming so far. Have I missed any news about him? In 2020 he averaged 46.3 with a long of 67. Thru three games he is averaging 38.2 with a long of 54 Against the Texans he had 3 punts with a long of only 42?? Some of that is field position and judging punters is a lot of math that makes me sleepy. But...I hope I can start feeling better about our punter and our ST in general soon.

No Respect for the Panthers - What Cowboys Fans are Saying
RenoCarolina replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
Cowboy fans are consistent at least. In 2015 we were 10-0, they were 3-7 and hosting us on turkey day. Even then cowpoke fans predicted a win and winning out the rest of the way. Instead we spank them on national tv. Total embarrassment. Jerry Jones (aka "the nfl") never forgot it and it still hurts. I know Skip Bayless wants to forget https://www.dallasnews.com/sports/cowboys/2015/11/28/cowboys-fan-skip-bayless-responds-to-panthers-josh-norman-on-prediction-all-i-ate-was-crow/ Also great article by Joe Person in Athletic (paywall) https://theathletic.com/2857458/2021/09/30/turkey-stuffing-and-a-thanksgiving-ass-kicking-an-oral-history-of-the-panthers-2015-win-at-dallas/ The Cowboys had gone 12-4 in 2014 to win the NFC East and had won their first two games in ’15. But after quarterback Tony Romo broke his left collarbone (in six places) during the Week 2 win against Philadelphia, Dallas lost seven in a row with backup quarterbacks Brandon Weeden and Matt Cassel. The 35-year-old Romo returned the week before the Panthers’ game and guided the Cowboys to a 24-14 victory at Miami. Dallas, despite its 3-7 record, was installed as a 1-point favorite over Carolina in the initial lines. Panthers coach Ron Rivera made sure it did not go unnoticed during the short week. Rivera: I told them: “Think about it. We’re undefeated and initially we open as underdogs. That’s what they think about you. They think that one guy’s gonna make the difference and they’re gonna beat us.” So I used that as my theme going in all week. I kind of got them staying on to that: “They’re saying we’re not good enough. We’re the most disrespected undefeated team ever.” So I really hammered them on that. -
Parrot tied for first. FML

That gameplan though! Did the decision to trade/draft Fields come from above and not Nagy? Is he trying to sabotage so he can move ahead with Dalton and no bad press? Right now he is creating a blueprint on how to ruin a top qb draft pick In two years we can pick him up for a third and a fifth.... GENIUS.

I did not watch his game today but saw some of game two and highlights from week 1. He is definitely taking the "Check-down Teddy" to heart and sending targets downfield. Not stretching the field but making some good throws on slants and outs. I don't have a problem giving him some credit for Denver's success. Both Teddy and the Panthers are in better places this season.

Richard Sherman makes a lot of sense right now

This may have been addressed in other threads but anyone know why Bouye was inactive? I get that he was just coming back but sitting him seems to show a lack of conviction from the coaches. -
motion to add ESPN and especially skip to the list.... oh wait, already boycotting

As long as that does not progress to JUST RELAX I am good with this. such a leap from “missed opportunities “ and “it is what it is”.

When you are unfazed about being 100% right about every little thing, being wrong is no big deal. #nohottakes But..... Truth be told..... I went into this season thinking we would be 16-0 and have just recently realized we will be 17-0. -
David Carr loving the Panthers and Matt Rhule
RenoCarolina replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yeah, I am not sure why everyone assumes my comment was negative. I agree with you and your comment sounds a lot like Baldy's take. The reason I pointed it out was it echoed Brees' comment Sunday night and on that thread many posters were pointing out that we had a "college defense" last year but not this year. Also, either way, both comments were the first time I had personally heard anyone label our D as a College D and it came back to back after great results. -
not even the aints can use that as an excuse after the game.

"You need to pay attention to the Panthers"
RenoCarolina replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
Two things come to mind when reading thread title and first page, and I have not read entire thread so sorry if this has been brought up before. #1) Nobody is "really" talking about the @Panthers in anything other than "watch out for" or "surprise team: mode. Mostly to cover their bases in case the streak continues. I watched and switched channels on football all day Sunday and Monday afternoon/night and we got the basic highlights. Other games they spent 15 minutes on. Our highlights were like they were produced by boomer and we snuck into production. Even today, when we are the next game up and NFL Network should be hyping the matchup any in depth coverage is woefully absent. I remember 2015 and the "March to Relevancy" that any other team would call a 15 game win streak. The Panthers still do not get respect in the national media coverage and it just gets old to complain about. 2) Kay Adams is a bombshell but she is a self-described aints fan despite and therefore forever off the radar. Watch even a part of this or don't. It is the video equivalent of pointy elbows. https://fb.watch/89P0oF5B-M/ -

RenoCarolina replied to RenoCarolina's topic in Carolina Panthers
I could be wrong but isn’t that thread started by alt of the panther fan turned patriot fan? And every post of his is a painfully narcissistic cry for help? I didn’t even open the thread when I saw author. Which is a shame because now that I did (TY) it is a nice thread for game day posters to check in on. I like knowing which posters put their $ where their mouth is and are in the stadium. And the overseas guys. But OP there just annoys the fug out of me (if I am right. )
