  1. They’re missing 4 starters - and still protecting better than our unit that’s only missing 2 starters. Much better. You can try and value those receivers by doing a quick google search and seeing how many yards they had last season. But if you WATCH the tape you will see how they separate. How they get run after the catch. How they get butt naked wide open. You haven’t watched the Texans, that’s very obvious. But if you understand football and compare the tape you will see they have a well schemed, thoughtful and functional offense. That is not to say Stroud isn’t killing it. If you watch our tape and set your biases aside you will see our offense is completely dysfunctional from top to bottom. Scheme, personnel, play calling, clock management, o-line, WR, and yes QB play. Sure, Andy Dalton came in (and played out of his mind) against Seattle but even with a blown coverage td he only averaged 6.2 YPA. In hindsight it’s looking like we completely screwed this up, traded the future #1 pick and DJ Moore who is looking like an all pro, and picked the wrong guy. But Bryce is not in a good situation and it makes sense for him to struggle. Let the kid develop. Him panning out is genuinely the only hope we’ve got.
  2. Hahahah can you say straw man?! Where did I say anything about Bryce? I think Bryce has been bad. But you my friend don’t know ball. You responded to absolutely nothing I just said and went off about little Bryce bc you can’t get him out of your own head. I’m talking about Stroud’s line and weapons in Houston like you were attempting to. Wanna get back on topic?
  3. Stroud has played better yeah. But did you know Houston’s offensive line is pass protecting FAR better than ours? Did you know our best receiver would be their receiver 3, maybe even receiver 4 behind Robert Woods? Really obvious who watches and understands ball & who is just saying stuff they heard on the internet
  4. I don’t know how this absolute masterpiece got buried in the replies, but you, sir, have made my morning
  5. Yes. That is exactly what we did. We also downgraded at receiver by losing Moore. And we’ve got a massively downgraded offensive line by way of injury. Any more brain busters?
  6. Sanders ran for 1200 behind the best offensive line in football against defenses that had to account for jalen hurts running. Then got benched in the playoffs. Theoretically you are an asshat.
  7. Bryce absolutely needs to play better. He is missing too many throws. He’s rattled and doesn’t seem confident in this system. But I don’t blame him. It’s a bad offense, a bad scheme, and a bad game plan. That’s reality. But the swarm of miserable “fans” in here calling him a bust after 2 games do not have a clue what they’re talking about.
  8. They’d be ready to give Maye the full Jay-Z 7 years before deciding if he’s a bust.
  9. It’s funny, u can tell who absolutely does not know ball by their Bryce takes. We are talking about a guy in his second start playing against an elite NFL defense. With a terrible offense around him. It does not require mental gymnastics to understand why he wouldn’t play a great game.
  10. Yup. Simple as that, you figured it out! Surely it wouldn’t have anything to do with Frank only calling a pass on 3rd and long. It couldn’t be on the pathetic group of receivers that quit on their routes, never get depth, and prevent Bryce from throwing with any kind of anticipation because he has no clue how they’re going to screw up their route on a given play. Couldn’t be the pocket breaking down from the interior in 1.5 seconds. You absolute certified genius you figured it out and it’s so simple. He just sucks!
  11. It’s not borderline weird, it is flat out WEIRDO behavior.
  12. Nico Collins and Dalton Schultz? Tank Dell is legitimately better than any WR on our roster. He also did that against a Colts defense that is absolute dog water, playing prevent protecting a lead. There are many ways to spin it, and the way you chose to is far from reality.
  13. We don’t have a single receiver that is ever “NFL open” because they can’t make NFL catches. Comparing Olave to us is wild lol.
  14. I’m gonna go ahead and spoil this one for you. NO ONE WAS OPEN. I sat in the first row end zone and watched the entire field as everyone was BLANKETED every play. You just don’t know what you’re talking about little buddy.
  15. A lot of people in here talking down on a guy as if getting injured is his fault. Y’all wanna trade this guy for pennies and move on. Well let me ask you this, did you say the same things about McCaffrey? I bet you did. Look what we got for him and look at him now. He was known and made fun of for being the ultimate glass cannon and he hasn’t missed a game since he was traded. There’s no point in trading Horn, his value is tanked. If he comes back and stays healthy we have a top 10 corner.
  16. Something I think that will really help Bryce is using his escapability and extending the play more often. He flashed his escapability big time in the Detroit preseason game. If our receivers can’t get open in 3 seconds, it could really help to escape the pocket and buy some more time when the pocket starts to collapse. It seems like he’s rushing his reads because he thinks he HAS to get the ball out before the pocket collapses.
  17. Did we watch the same game? He threw 2 bad interceptions. He missed pretty bad on a couple deep shots that were open. And then down 14 with 4 minutes left checked down or threw away every single pass, didn’t even try to get in the end zone. I love Bryce and I really want him to be a great player but he didn’t pass many eye tests there.
  18. Offense just looks slow. No rhythm, everyone lining up slowly, no energy. Taking play clock under 5 every play. Seems like we could use a little more tempo
  19. Man I love Steve Smith but this guy is hard to listen to. He just can’t say anything that makes sense, everything comes out awkward with so many pauses because he can’t think of what to say
  20. I completely agree. This kind of stuff happens. Obviously we’ve been waiting a long time to see good football again, but it’s silly to think a brand new offense, a rookie qb, and all new coaching staff could have things dialed in by preseason week 1. We’ll be fine!
