Can we call you an old stick in the mud? I knew the rivers and creeks would be dangerous after Helene but I really didn't think of quicksand. This gentleman was walking on a sand bar and suddenly sank waist deep. It took hours to dig him out so be careful out there trout fisherman. Cotton Mill Area of Wilson Creek Gorge

I’m worried about the cooler weather coming in the next 12 days. Seeing some night time temperatures in the mid 30’s in Newland.

Be careful what location you go and educate yourself with locals. Some areas have descended into chaos. Meth heads are causing major issues. Looting has gotten out of hand in your most rural areas. Land owners are watching there stuff locked and loaded. Barnardsville and surrounding area is a no go zone at this time.

I’ve not but my friends have. I work communications over on the Tennessee side, I’m stressed from helping get that back up in Roan Mountain, Mountain City area. Cell sites mostly up with residential services still down.

I know it’s open from Cranberry to Spruce Pine. Green Valley bridge is a challenge though, it can be crossed carefully.

I couldn’t make it up 321 Tuesday. We went towards Mtn City and surveyed damage. It’s as bad as anywhere in spots, not as wide spread as N Toe —> S Toe—>Noliachucky. Poga is a high road that I’ve heard nothing about, mudslides may have gotten it don’t know, I will investigate though

One of my go to channels on YouTube is this guy from New Zealand? I’ve actually snagged one of the washing machines he uses to make this. You can find part 2 yourself. Very easy to do this if you’re handy.

We do this also. We use the vacuum sealer to repackage for freezer.

We bought 1/4 beef last year for 4.89lb from a coworker. Not a bad deal because of getting steaks and roast for the same price.We ran through the hamburger pretty quick. I'm not big on Walmart beef because of all the preservatives they add to keep it looking red/fresh. The hamburger at fresh market is 80/20 and ground on site from left over beef they have processed.

A little tip for ground beef is Fresh Market on Tuesdays here. They have fresh ground beef for 3.99lb on Tuesdays. They also have chicken breast for around the same price per pound.

I felt like an idiot after I went back to the ball field to show my wife I had just recorded my first UFO sighting. The lady she was talking to watched it also and informed me it was Star Link. It’s a video that I have, I didn’t upload it for you’ll to view because of my narration/amazement at what I was seeing.
