  1. Atlanta isn't trading us their pick without us giving up an inordinate amount of capital. In short, we'd have to drastically overpay to get #4. It would literally be cheaper to trade for #3.
  2. "Seems unlikely" just doesn't quite describe this.
  3. Typical ignorance. You have zero freedom to post here that isn't granted to you by the owner of this board. ZERO, idjit.
  4. 3.5 years younger than Obada and has surpassed his production. He hasn't peaked yet. He's an upgrade at a very good price.
  5. As long as Watson's acls hold up behind Elflein and Erving and all those 5th round gems.
  6. We'll have to give up at least 2 young defensive starters. You think Watson is a miracle worker? How'd that work in Texas this year...his best year, btw? We are not one player away...not by a long shot.
  7. Twist ending: This deal goes down, the Texans use our first round pick to select Mac Jones. In two years, they are in the SB with all the talent they've acquired, while we have managed 2 years of 8-8. Not what I want, obviously, but the irony would be incredible.
  8. Young and talented? Not our style. We could go after Artie Burns...he tore his acl, so he fits our preferred profile.
  9. Either Fitterer and Rhule are playing 4D chess, or Tepper, who has hired a few people in his life, has made a couple of bonehead hires. I guess we'll see, won't we?
  10. Yeah, the biggest part of me hopes for that. I hope our staff can identify hidden gems.
  11. I just want us to sign a few solid, young players to shore up the OL, DL, and maybe a CB and I'll be happy. If that CB is Shaq Griffin, I won't complain, as long as his contract is reasonable.
  12. If you want to think Sewell is a risky pick, have at it. I don't.
  13. There's a chance he could bust...like anyone else. But from everything I've read, he's as solid a LT prospect as Lawrence is a QB prospect. In short, nobody really believes either of them will be busts. They may not live up to expectations, but nobody thinks they won't be solid starters at minimum.
  14. Too many teams need a good receiver. Someone is gonna overpay. He is as good as gone, unless he's willing to leave money on the table just to play in Carolina.
  15. Best option atm. I'm wondering if Trubisky's agent is asking for a long-term commitment. He probably figures someone will pay up eventually, and unfortunately for us, that's probably true.
