  1. Would love to get him. He may get overdrafted on size alone, though.
  2. I hope Young wins a few Lombardies here and proves all the doubters wrong.
  3. Between you and that BryceYung guy, this place is ridiculous. Just stop it. You're like a couple of politicians revving up your bases trying to make each side hate the other.
  4. Yeah. I'm fine if our staff pick Young, but I really want to know why he didn't throw at the combine and didn't weigh at his pro day. That bugs the poo out of me. People don't skip those things unless they've got something to hide. Maybe I'm making too much of it, but it bugs me.
  5. I just asked a magic 8-ball website if the panthers should choose Bryce Young and it said "Yes, definitely." I then asked if they should choose C. J. Stroud and it said, "Ask again later." I dunno what this means, but it has about as much significance as all this other crap combined.
  6. Prefer Stroud, will be happy with Young, will be cautiously optimistic with Richardson.
  7. Hey, we're talking about a game here. Be serious.
  8. I think so too, but I wouldn't be shocked if they took Young.
  9. I absolutely do not believe this. Or if he was "told" that, it's a total smokescreen.
  10. Yes, I am well aware. However, as I said previously, "throwing guys open" in college and "throwing guys open" in the NFL are two very different things and while adjustments can be made, arm strength plays a much larger part in the NFL than in college because NFL defensive players are all faster and better at anticipating routes. Tighter windows. Doesn't matter how good one anticipates routes if you can't fit it in that window. That takes a minimal amount of arm strength. Perhaps Young has it. I trust our staff to decide that, but I've read some articles that cast doubt on it. Particularly on long outs and cross-field throws.
  11. I get that. Sometimes, "throwing guys open" in college is throwing interceptions in the NFL. If our staff think he's got the arm strength to overcome the speed and anticipation of NFL secondaries and LBs, I'm good with him.
  12. What does he mean by "high anticipatory throws?" Does that mean Young places the ball at a spot where his receiver will be 3 strides from then? 5 strides? Is he proficient at this because he literally doesn't have the arm strength to zip it into a tight window? That's my concern. Smart players learn to compensate for deficiencies. If he can't zip a throw into a tight window, he won't do well in the NFL.
  13. I have a preference. Plenty of folks here wouldn't like it. Here's the thing: I don't care. Makes absolutely zero difference to my life or fandom how many people or fans agree with me. Zero. Just don't get why people treat it like a friggin' cult and feel like they must evangelize everyone to their way of thinking. So weird.
  14. I honestly don't understand the "debate" aspect. I get that people have preferences and want the Panthers to choose their preferred player, but how does "convincing" other people of what they should do factor in? What difference does it make? Who cares what other fans think in relation to your opinion? Why does it matter so much to so many of you that others here agree with you?
  15. Fitt makes the deals, Suleiman manipulates the cap.
  16. Yeah, I expect Fitterer to trade back after our 3rd round pick...maybe sooner if the board falls a certain way. I'd expect him to pick up at least a couple more picks. I'd be hard-pressed to pass on LaPorta in the 3rd, but he could probably be had later if we can get an additional pick there.
