  1. He's so fast, cameras can't capture his image.
  2. Davis is outstanding when he's motivated. Trouble is, as the season wore on, he clearly lost a lot of motivation.
  3. God no. We better be getting a starting OL or CB in the 2nd.
  4. It would cost us a possible starting caliber player at a position of much greater need.
  5. Perryman is known as a run-stopper. The Chargers' run defense got considerably worse when he was off the field. Hopefully, he brings that and our young guys get better at it. Chinn proved he was pretty adept at it too.
  6. Hey! Let's draft Pitts! He's uncoverable! Hey! Let's draft Chase! He's uncoverable! What good are dynamic receivers if no one can get them the ball? What does it matter how open they are if our QB is running for his life or on his ass? I honestly wonder if you guys have ever even watched football.
  7. We'll sign a few others. Just pointing out that Panasiuk isn't the only DT behind Brown and Roy right now.
  8. I don't disagree. If we trade back, I'd like to see us pick up an extra 2nd or 3rd. Again, I'm not a fan of Slater as an OT. I think Darrisaw is OT #2. I think we could possibly trade back and snag him. If not, we could grab Mayfield in the 2nd. If not him, Eichenberg. As far as taking "decent" OL that turn out not so decent, that's a gamble with every single pick in this draft...including those rated as first-rounders. It's literally a guarantee that several first-rounders will be busts. Again, happens every year. At some point, you have to trust your scouting dept. They did well last year, let's see if that was a fluke or not.
  9. Extra picks. I trust our team. If they think we can get more value out of the trade than we can picking one player, then we'll take the trade. If there's someone there we really want, we won't. I'd prefer to trade back because I think we can build a solid OL and gather some solid backups with this year's picks, but that's just me. I'm at the point where I'd rather have 2 decent starting OL than one spectacular TE or WR.
  10. We traded up for Little. And while Hurney may be a moron, there are other morons who make stupid decisions every year. Someone will trade up for whoever they want and are afraid someone is gonna snatch before they can get them. Again, it literally happens every year. Hell, it could be Mac Jones. It could be Slater. It could be Pitts. It could literally be anyone who is projected to go in the first round.
  11. You think teams only trade up to snag QBs? Would you trade up to get a top flight LT? How about a DE? Shutdown corner? Lots of teams will trade multiple assets if they think the player they need will be gone by the time they draft. It literally happens every year.
  12. Agreed. Only player I'd trade back into the first for is Darrisaw.
  13. Go back and read through the thread. OP thinks we should pick QB at 8 and trade multiple picks to get back into the first to pick Pitts.
  14. The question is not "Is he worth a first round pick?" The question is, "Is he worth trading away multiple picks to get *back* into the first round to pick up, when we have multiple needs at positions of greater import, like LT and CB. A weapon like Pitts is a valuable asset. No doubt multiple teams will see him on the board at 8 and offer to trade with us. I hope they value him as much as OP because we'll make a mint on that trade.
  15. 8: R1 P8 QB Justin Fields - Ohio State 39: R2 P7 OT Jalen Mayfield - Michigan 73: R3 P9 CB Ifeatu Melifonwu - Syracuse 113: R4 P8 C Trey Hill - Georgia 151: R5 P7 G Jack Anderson - Texas Tech 193: R6 P9 DL Osa Odighizuwa - UCLA 222: R6 P38 TE Tre' McKitty - Georgia 226: R6 P42 CB Ambry Thomas - Michigan
  16. LOL. Pitts is good, and Chinn will have to work to keep him under control when we face his new team. We are picking QB/LT/CB in that order. If we take a TE, it will be in the 6th.
  17. Or just get the younger/cheaper/less achilles-teary version in the 5th round - Hufanga from So. Cal.
  18. I think it's much more likely we are gathering the pieces to be able to run multiple fronts that may or may not look like what we're actually running. In short, Snow wants offenses to be constantly confused.
