  1. Offer next year's 3rd and Teddy. If they balk, offer next year's 4th alone as a final offer.
  2. This isn't the only reason it's a terrible draft. Walker Little is dropping down boards and there's a good reason for it...he's got bust written all over him. RB in the 5th? NO. TWO WRs? NO. We need OL, LB, CB, DL all WAY more than RB or WR. Just a really bad draft. Who cares if you have the best WR core in the game if you have no OL? Or can't cover anyone?
  3. That is one crappy draft. We need a young CB and this is a great draft to get a really good one. We also need youth on our DL.
  4. Would rather have Minshew or Darnold, tbh.
  5. Plenty. DL, MLB, S, TE. Sure, we signed a couple of stopgaps, but we need more long-term solutions. We'll address most of these in the draft and FA after.
  6. Osa Odighizuwa from UCLA and Levi Onwuzurike from Washington. I admit, part of me wants to hear how Mixon butchers their names. But they are good players who will likely be available after the 2nd round.
  7. I honestly don't know what the odds are of Sewell being on the board at 8. But if he's there, we better not field any calls or waste any time "considering" what to do. Before Goodell can get the word "next" out of his piehole, we should be handing in our pick.
  8. I could dig it. Trade our first pick, pick up a middle round 1st and extra 2nd, take Darrisaw, then a CB and C or G in the 2nd, then Mills in the 3rd.
  9. Comparing MInshew to Bridgewater is laughable at best. Minshew is way better.
  10. It's hard to believe, after everything that has been said and done this off-season, that Teddy is part of this team next year, let alone the starting QB. Stranger things have happened, however. I'll defer to the coaches/scouts/GM on this one. That said, if they trot out Teddy as the starter week 1, I'm not gonna have good feelings about our new brain trust.
  11. I'd argue it's higher than 47%, simply because of the draft capital spent. If you use a first round pick, you want a franchise QB. If you get a starter...say, Teddy Bridgewater...I'd say that qualifies as a bust. Trubisky...did you consider him as a starter or bust? I'd argue he's a bust, again, especially given the capital used to get him. What about Jameis Winston? Marcus Mariota? Neither are franchise QBs, both have started. Given they went 1 and 2, I'd consider them both busts.
  12. That's because they do. Luck is a significant factor. We've learned a LOT about how to scout prospects so it's happening less frequently, but there's still a LOT we don't know. Scouts miss NFL pro-bowlers every year. Every. Single. Year. No, not necessarily with QBs, but they still miss even with them occasionally. There's no way to be certain about even the most gifted prospects. Desire, competitiveness, intangibles that cannot even be named, much less measured. The top 4 QB prospects this year will probably all be good NFL QBs. But they could all be busts. The former is more likely than the latter, but there's still a risk factor with every single one of them. And there's a chance that someone will drop into later rounds and wind up being a very solid NFL QB. Maybe even a star. Remember, every single NFL GM passed on Russell Wilson for 2 full rounds. And Kirk Cousins was picked 2 rounds after Wilson. And just remember, Robert Griffin III was picked #2 and Matt Kalil went #4. Brandon Weeden also went in the first round. A few years later, Dak Prescott went in the 4th round. And both QBs taken at 1 and 2 that year have been traded by their respective teams, while Prescott broke the bank.
  13. There's something to that. Brady isn't the most physically gifted QB to ever come along. But he had something that couldn't be quantified. Maybe Bill saw it in him, but more likely, he saw a decent backup prospect and got ridiculously lucky.
  14. Every pick is a lottery ticket. Some are near guarantees, but none are truly risk-free, not even Lawrence. Russell Wilson is the rationale, not necessarily the explanation.
  15. Maybe find a hobby. Form a few relationships outside of football. Read a book or two. Seek professional help.
  16. I swear, every 12 year old girl here keeps making different alts just to out drama queen the other 12 year old girls.
  17. He's leaving Seattle because they won't give him a long-term deal. I don't think we will either. We may offer a 2 year contract, but his play has been spotty at best. Don't think he graded too high with PFF, for whatever that's worth.
