  1. Agreed. The “Versatility” movement seems to be something that is not working well.
  2. He literally had no answer other than saying Elf is capable and that Bozeman had his injury at a bad time in camp. It’s a complete JOKE. Almost every fan knows who should be starting…it is painfully obvious
  3. ARTICLE: Matt Rhule fell to 10-24 as the Panthers head coach with Sunday’s 26-24 loss to the Browns, but he tried to focus on the positives during his Monday press conference. Rhule said he and the rest of the team is “disappointed, but we’re not discouraged” by the result, which came after the Panthers came back from 13 points down to briefly take the lead in the fourth quarter of the game. Rhule tried to focus on the way the team bounced back from a bad start and figuring out how the Panthers could get that kind of effort on a more consistent basis. “Every coach is upset with the result of the game,” Rhule said, via the team’s website. “At the same time, to play that badly on offense in the first half, and still came back and had a chance to win the football game. On defense, so many plays we want back and still have a chance to win the game. So we have to have a really good week, and we have to play much better. I think who we were in the fourth quarter is who we’d like to be. We just have to do it for 60 minutes. When we do that, we’ll be a good team.” The Panthers have a road game with the Giants in Week Two and a more cohesive performance would be a good way to keep others from becoming discouraged about the direction Rhule is moving the team in his third season. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2022/09/13/matt-rhule-disappointed-not-discouraged-by-opening-loss/
  4. No free agent can help us at this point. It’s wasted cap, and the problems are much deeper than an unsigned vet when the season has already started.
  5. If the O line didn’t look like one of the worst in the league for a third year, if we didn’t have more botched snaps l/batted passes than a high school game, if we had a full game of solid QB play, if we were to get big production out of CMC, if the D line didn’t look worse than last year against a statue backup QB, if our linebackers looked like they belonged in the NFL, if Henderson didn’t tackle a WR 5 seconds before the ball arrived wiping out an end zone pick, we would all be singing a different tune.
  6. I would not. To even be close to a Browns team lead by the backup QB at home and pull a rabbit out of a hat after sucking for three straight quarters it is nothing to jump for Joy about. It would have been a typical Rhule win, where he only gets wins against terrible teams. That did not happen however, and we lost one of the easier games on our schedule this year while continuing to make an absolute joke of our “home field advantage”.
  7. Agreed. The only time Snow gets fired is when Rhule does .
  8. We have achieved the turd trophy for being one of, if not the worst team in the league. When you have 5 wins the last two years, and lose your opening HOME game to the Browns….with a backup QB, third string RT, backup CB etc… it’s not good. We looked absolutely horrible until the 4th quarter and if it wasn’t for a few busted plays by the browns secondary it would have been a total embarrassment.
  9. You know the Browns coaching staff was laughing like crazy throughout the game. We didn’t utilize CMC who is the best (some would say only) star on the team, and we suck ass at defending the only threat that the team has (running the football). They dared us to throw the football all game, and we should have done the same. Coaching makes a difference.
  10. Too bad we sucked ass this first three quarters and could not stop the only strength that they had (running the ball).
  11. His first few press conferences. He sounds like a used car salesmen/scam preacher and I questioned if he could lead NFL guys then way before the DBO sign was pulled out
  12. ARTICLE about our scrub coach: Panthers coach Matt Rhule says the Browns got away with a penalty on the play before their game-winning field goal today. With the clock running and seconds ticking off, Browns quarterback Jacoby Brissett spiked the ball to stop the clock. But Brissett appeared to be briefly considering a fake spike, and he briefly looked up to see if he had a receiver open before stepping back and spiking the ball. By rule, spikes to stop the clock have to be immediate, or else they’re intentional grounding, and an official threw a flag for that. But the official who threw the flag was overruled for reasons Rhule said after the game that he didn’t understand. “I started screaming, ‘Intentional grounding, 10-second runoff, game’s about to be over.’ They obviously called it and then changed it, and it was told to me that — I’m going to get in trouble here, but — it was told to me he just pump-faked it,” Rhule said. Referee Brad Rogers explained after the game, “After discussion, we determined that stepping back does not disqualify the quarterback from spiking the ball and we allowed him to do that by rule.” Browns kicker Cade York nailed a 58-yard field goal after the spike. If the intentional grounding had been called, it would have moved the Browns far enough back that they probably would have tried a Hail Mary instead of a field goal. It was a costly non-call for the Panthers. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2022/09/11/matt-rhule-browns-should-have-been-penalized-on-spike-before-winning-field-goal/
  13. We have been beating ourselves for years on end now. It’s pathetic and sad to watch honestly, last year was the lowest I have been watching this team since the Jimmy Clausen days and I believe it’s getting worse. 3 different starting qb’s in three years and showing zero improvement at all no matter who is behind center. I dare you to name 5 franchises in worse shape than us right now
  14. Way to steal my thunder on the official fire Matt Rhule thread
  15. When you get dominated all game at home against a Jacoby B lead Browns team, that’s all you need to know. It has been years of suffering now, and it’s beyond sad at this point. We are one of the worst franchises in the NFL at this point
  16. The entire team should be gutted. I don’t care about a single player on this team anymore. You can’t have an NFL team where you have one solid player which is a RB and expect to have success.
  17. He’s a complete joke. We were dominated all game by the Jacoby lead Browns at home. We are a joke franchise.
  18. This team has been garbage since Tepper bought the team. I am sick of watching them. This team has been pathetic for years. We just had a miracle to even be in the game and we still lost to the Jacoby lead Browns at home. It does not get much easier than this game. It’s going to be a long season
  19. None of them should be starting and it’s a perfect example of Rhule being a terrible head coach. All three and the results look the exact same.
  20. Elf is the worst starting C in the league and it’s not even close.
