Yes and we need to sign Bozeman to a contract extension before FA. This is a fantastic turnaround in one season, and we have a line which can be good for a very long time.

I’ll give you that he is no All pro yet, but Burns and Brown get all of the focus on every play. I would hope someone can step up. I don’t believe Hanes has seen a single double team since he has been in the league.

I completely disagree but respect your opinion. When you look around the league and the success rate at DE spot when picked middle and lower portions of round 1 you realize how specials someone like Burns is and is just 24 years old. Also…it’s not like Burns is doing anything to lower his trade value. He could be traded at any point after the season but based on his current trajectory he is not lowering his overall value especially when he has zero threat at the other DE spot and he performs even though teams have to focus on him specifically at DE

UNDER 25….he also has 33 career sacks so only .5 above Burns. He is also a generational talent so good company to be in.

Another thing to bring up….he has no talent on the opposite end spot either. Teams game plan for him week after week.

Well….I don’t believe it would be easy to match his production and future potential with two low future first round picks. Let’s the debate begin. Props to Burns….he should only continue to get better and is tied for 7th most sacks in the league even with a horrible offense for the majority of the season.

It’s crazy he couldn’t even see the field with CMC on our team under Rhule. I can’t imagine our running attack if we drafted Fields over Horn and had CMC and Foreman as a true dual threat like we had with D. Williams and Stewart

Running back D'Onta Foreman was out of football last year when the Titans signed him to help cover for the absence of Derrick Henry and it wound up being the chance Foreman needed to show he was a capable NFL runner. Foreman ran for 566 yards in nine games and then moved on to Carolina this offseason as a backup to Christian McCaffrey. His role changed when McCaffrey was dealt to the 49ers last month and Foreman has again shown that he’s able to handle the load of a starter. Foreman’s load was larger than ever on Thursday night. He ran 31 times for 130 yards and a touchdown in the 25-15 win and has now run 79 times for 389 yards and four touchdowns in four games since McCaffrey was traded. They said we had the worst QB option in years the year that we ended up with Cam. You take a shot until you find your guy. If you wait because it’s the “safe route” you push your team further and further behind. We are taking a QB this year in the 1st, I bet my left nut on it. Is it a risk? Of course…but wait until you get the bill for not taking a risk. Horn could be a beast but who in this board looks at Fields and his development over the last few weeks and believe we are a better team for taking a safe bet at CB over a possible franchise guy.

They say this garbage every year. Two years ago this was going to be a generational draft for QB’s. You have to take a shot at a franchise guy if you don’t have one. They said Cam was too big of a risk also, Allen was a huge risk, Mahomes was a risk, Lamar wasn’t even considered a worthy 1st round pick etc

Idk I still think you go QB no matter what. Either that or you package the number 3 pick (or whatever pick we have) for a big time QB trade. We have been in QB hell since Cam left, and will never compete until we find our guy. We will be wasting years of our core unless we pull the trigger and keep trying until we find a solution.

We are talking about backup QB/mentor here, not franchise savior.

Not saying he has put up pro bowl stats, but he went from someone we all believed shouldn’t be on an NFL roster, to someone who has shown that he has the talent to be a very capable backup in the league. He has thrown some absolute dimes, has rushing ability, and most importantly he has pocket presence/awareness.

I agree but you cannot deny the development from his previous seasons. His play on the field is night and day compared to when we used him in the past. He’s only 27 and clearly has improved his game since coming to us from the XFL. He was a running joke on the Huddle before, but you cannot deny someone when they show out like he has in meaningful games

Very good point. I have no idea what to do with Corral. You Can’t trust him to be our starter, you can’t pass up the opportunity to draft a QB, and you definitely can’t have PJ as your starter next season (I absolutely love what he is doing and as a backup, not as a penciled in starter though). Corral is in a tough position but another year developing at minimum is what I would plan for. If he proves he belongs when coming back from injury you can then game plan on him being your number 2 moving forward after next season then you can reassess after that

His development has been fun to watch. It’s the first time in years that we have had a spark at the QB position. Our game plans have been conservative and built around the run game, but he has thrown some absolute dimes and definitely made large improvements over previous seasons.

My point is….backups like Dalton, Baker, Darnold, Brissett, Trubisky, Bridgewater cost much more, can sometimes put pressure on a QB to start, and don’t inspire teammates nearly as much as some like a PJ or Heinickie. A QB like Corrall would be a rough as a backup and our QB room needs a vet to develop the two young guys. Both of these options are cost efficient and the RIGHT type of leader that we need who can also win games in a pinch. They are the perfect combination of what we need next year

Suck an egg if you disagree, but as make believe GM of this team, I have already decided what we will do. With that being said….This video got me hyped. We need a vet to support our rookie QB who can come in and win games…but one that will not cost you much financially. Players like PJ or Heinickie are the perfect backup QBs compared to someone like an Andy Dalton. They play well enough to win if you are in a pinch, play tough, have the respect of teammates, don’t cost a lot, and embrace the role of supporting the main guy. We already have a team built for a rookie (solid running game, good line) and with one good TE signing/trade we could be in business. I would love to get someone like PJ or Heinickie on a 2 year deal to back up our rookie and to help him develop and have the impact like Erving has had on Icky. Idk how they graded Bozeman so low on pass pro. The line did an incredible job all day with only three pressures like it said other than Thomas…..so how do you rate him that low on pass protection?
