  1. Luke still has a 7.5 million dollar dead cap hit this year, Gano 1.5 million
  2. I totally agree. Dude is solid and gets too much hate, however I would strongly argue that he is not an impact pro bowl type player. That is who should be #3 on your highest cap hit for your team.
  3. The bad thing is that: Teddy is #1 with 12.84% of our total cap KK is #2 with 11.63% Shaq is #3 with 7.91% All players who are not impacting the game for us.
  4. We hate to see ya go! The bad thing is that he will still impact us for a few years even *WHEN cut
  5. Hey...my rep points didn’t go down!
  6. As long as we come away with one of the top 5 QBs at ANY point in the draft, I’ll be thrilled
  7. We need to extend him now to save money in the future. He is the exact type of player Rhule wants. Anderson and Moore can be building blocks for our offense for years to come. We haven’t had talent like this at WR in a long time. CMC in the slot will be lethal next year.
  8. The team goes off of true leadership. If they couldn’t get over the hump with Brees, no way they perform better with his goofy ass eating W’s
  9. No way. He is what he is at this stage of his career
  10. I know that’s what you would do but it’s not reality. I can see the opposite opinion on a lot of things, and I agree that RBs don’t have as long of a shelf like as other positions, but it is crazy to have that argument at this point in CMCs career. He’s not even close to the age of breaking down..... he’s 24 years old. He had one season this year where he has been injured but has improved every year he has been in the league. Next year he will be a top 1-3 back yet again and I don’t see that changing anytime soon. If he were to switch to a slot WR later in his career he would be one of the best in the league in that role also.
  11. Lol come on man. CMC is 24 years old. His best days are not behind him, and he is going nowhere.
  12. Touché. I’ll be extremely happy if we pulled off a miracle and landed him, I just see too many things (like literally not having an O line) holding us back from being competitive if we pulled it off, but time will tell.
  13. Dude...he is still going to get top QB money. You cannot write a contract at that will not pay him top 3 QB money at this point no matter how you want to front load it. It’s going to be a huge portion of the cap with massive guaranteed money. We still have to field a competitive team around him in order to compete, and we have no starters in 9 roles going into next season and that’s not counting keeping Boston at S, keeping Thomas at TE even though he’s got one year left and terrible, and not counting 3rd WR being that Samuel is gone.
  14. My point is that it wouldn’t be open with a 40.4 million dollar cap figure the following year. You can extend but he is still going to want top QB money, and that figure going down could only be had by kicking the can down the road like with Brees (which is fine, he should be paid that amount because he is a top talent QB) The issue I am bringing up is fielding a competitive TEAM around him in order to compete. The talent level and holes we have is actually worse than the Texans currently if we give up that capitol, so how do you field a team that can compete for a championship with all the other holes. Again I would be thrilled to have him, I just don’t see how we compete with the situation we are currently in now.
  15. It’s not a wide open salary cap with the contract he signed. Look at my post right below your post that I jusy quoted and tell How you would fill these holes with his contract this year or in the future along with Teddys 20+ million and be able to compete (because that’s the entire goal).
  16. This team is currently built to draft a rookie QB and utilize his rookie wages to build a complete team around him. People keep acting like we don’t have to completely replace our entire O line and that Paradis is the only one returning and on the last year of his deal (LT,G,C,G,RT), a starting DT across from Brown, get a starting Lb (Shaq is it), figure out what the hell we are doing at CB (Jackson is our only returning starter and on the last year of his deal) and eventually safety (literally everyone agrees Boston could be easily upgraded)
  17. Question: How would you build this team if we traded 3 1st round picks for Watson (or 2 1st round picks and a very good player) along with very little cap (we still owe Teddy) no high draft picks, 1 returning starting O linemen in Paradis, 1 staring CB in Jackson who is in his final year, 1 starting quality LB in Shaq, etc.
  18. That would be awesome. Then we will just go without 2 1st round picks. And have no O line next season or CB’s. We literally have 1 of each under contract if that happens. Super bowl here we come!
  19. He didn’t say anything about us actually having interests or calling them. He just speculated because we need a QB and have “an owner who isn’t afraid to make big moves”. No proof that we have offered anything or shown interest. Again I would love to have Watson. He is one of the best in the league at the most important position. The reality is that we don’t have the ability to trade 3 1st rounds picks being that we are re building, and with Teddy 2 gloves being on the hook for 20+ million next season, we can’t afford it if you want to actually have an O line on the field not made up of all undrafted players.
  20. Who wouldn’t love you have him?? It would be amazing. Reality though is that we don’t have the Cap or the assets to get him.
