  1. Bring on the competition. It will only make us a better team.
  2. About time to lock this thread up. I was hoping it could stay on course…. but I am an idiot.
  3. That’s his spirit bomb like Goku from Dragon Ball Z
  4. That’s a good thing. That means the dude has been working 24/7
  5. It’s interesting to see how the younger players are performing/reacting/showing leadership compared to the days under Ron
  6. Very true. Seems to be a culture issue and you know Ron’s the single guy who they expect to change an entire organization that’s in the gutter because of a horrible owner.
  7. With our vaccinated rate being one of the best in the league I read articles like this today with the WFT having less than HALF and I wonder…what’s the difference? Is it how the players react to the message from coaches? Buy in from ownership? Players bonding together against it? Seems crazy to me that players would put so much at risk by not getting a shot that proves it will save lives. Check out the article below…I found it very interesting compared to our results: Washington coach Ron Rivera has attempted this offseason to educate his players about vaccinations, but the message hasn’t gotten through to many of them. And Rivera isn’t happy about it. Rivera, who battled cancer last year and has taken extra precautions to avoid getting infected with COVID-19, said it bothers him that almost half of his players still haven’t gotten the vaccine. “I’m truly frustrated. I’m beyond frustrated. Part of the reason I walk in with a mask on is I’m immune-deficient,” Rivera said, via Nicki Jhabvala of the Washington Post. “I just hope that our guys can understand that.” Rivera is right to be frustrated. The COVID-19 vaccines are safe and effective and are the only way out of the pandemic that has ruled our lives for nearly a year and a half. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2021/07/27/ron-rivera-beyond-frustrated-that-so-many-washington-players-remain-unvaccinated/
  8. Some key FA are still available….
  9. Very fluid meaning LT and LG is up In the air. We know RT, RG, C is locked In. If Moton moves to the left then it would be even more interesting with the combinations of people fighting for the RT role, but I wouldn’t be surprised if we add another tackle by the start of the season or by trade.
  10. We all hope he develops into what we all know what he can be, however he is a total unknown up to this point. Last year was underwhelming but it was a rookie year….
  11. I’m satisfied with the way our team is being built currently. We knew before last season started that we were 2-3 years away from being a team who could compete and so far we are a little ahead of schedule based off our draft hits and after we seen what our coaches are capable of. We are set up extremely well with cap space all the way around, have little dead cap after this season, and will be entering prime position to be able to lock up our young talent coming up on second contracts (Burns, Moore, etc). I’d love to have Watson but with that baggage and giving away players and the next two drafts plus all our cap space, it does not seem like it’s worth it.
  12. You are totally missing the point. I am and will always be a Cam fan. No question he is the best thing this franchise has ever had at QB. Im comparing the difference in excuses between some of the same posters who defended Cam last year and his performance due to a lack of weapons, but claim Darnold is trash even though he had literally everything working against him (All time terrible coach, horrendous play calling, one of the worst lines in the league 30th ranked, and no weapons). I know what Cam has accomplished in his career and am not comparing who has had the overall better NFL pedigree. I’m talking about the coaching staff taking a chance on a low risk high reward 24 year old kid who was in a bad situation.
  13. It’s a 22 million cap hit over 2 years for a starting QB…..It’s not going to kill us if it does not work out. Our coaching staff has already shown the ability outperform expectations and I’m willing to let them try on Darnold. Our staff has also shown that they aren’t afraid to move on if it does not work out so again it’s a low risk high reward scenario.
  14. I was referring to the headline stat about red zone and a clean pocket being Darnold. He has zero talent around him on top of terrible play calling, and a terrible line.
  15. It’s funny how some people point to stats like this….let’s forget the fact that he was destroyed every other play, but do you not think that the talent around him factors in to his red zone and “clean pocket” stats? If he has little talent at WR that does not gets separation along with terrible play calls what do you think the results will be? Some defended Cam to the death last year because of a lack of talent around him (cough cough) but will point at stats like this as to why our QB is trash. Darnold has the ability to turn things around here. He’s 24 and we have seen QBs have a complete turnaround with life after Gase. If he does not work out, it’s not like we are tied down for 5 years and will be crippled with guaranteed money. It’s a low risk high reward move we have made and I’m not sure what is so had to understand about that
  16. After DaQuan Jones….I knew he wasn’t coming back. I’d rather take Jones 10/10 times over Short at this point
